Abstract
A device to stably sit at a level close to that of a fence so as to see over it. This invention provides the view of a tall chair while having stability because it is attached to a fence. It also folds down to a small size for easy transportation and storage unlike a tall chair.
Claims
1. A chair assembly for viewing over a fence comprising: a) one or more chair, seat, or platform members; b) one or more mounting arms supporting the said chair, seat or platform members; c) one or more poles attached to the invention.
2. The invention of claim 1 wherein the said poles are telescoping.
3. The invention of claim 2 wherein there is one or more said chair, seat, or platform member and one or more of the said chair, seat, or platform members are collapsible or foldable.
4. The invention of claim 3 wherein the said mounting arms have one or more securing devices, such as hooks or slots, to secure the said mounting arms to a fence.
5. The invention of claim 4 wherein the said poles are attached to the said mounting arms in such a way that the said poles can fold up for storage.
6. The invention of claim 5 wherein the said mounting arms are removably attached to the said chair, seat, or platform members in order to allow the said chair, seat, or platform members to collapse or fold.
7. An add-on assembly to attach to a chair or multiple chairs to give the user of the said chairs the ability to view over a fence comprising: a) one or more mounting arms to be attached to the said chair, seat or platform members; b) one or more poles attached to one or more of the said mounting arms.
8. The invention of claim 7 wherein the said poles are telescoping.
9. The invention of claim 8 wherein the said mounting arms have one or more securing devices, such as hooks or slots, to secure the said mounting arms to a fence.
10. The invention of claim 9 wherein the said poles are attached to the said mounting arms in such a way that the said poles can fold up for storage.
11. The invention of claim 10 wherein the said mounting arms are to be removably attached to the said chair, seat, or platform members in order to allow the said add-on assembly to be removed from the said chair members after being attached.

[0014] The mounting arm 03 and the mounting arm 04 can be made of any material sufficiently strong and rigid and can be any shape. The telescoping leg support 16 and telescoping leg support 17 can be made of any sufficiently strong, rigid and hollow material and can be any shape. The foldable camping chair 01 is a common camping chair readily available on the market today; it could be replaced with a chair of different design. The various components of the standard foldable camping chair 01 can be made of various materials.
[0015] The advantages of the present invention include, without limitation, the ability to easily see over a fence while in a comfortable sitting position, like a tall chair. Further, the connection between the fence, the groove 13 and the groove 14 provides more stability than a tall chair would. Still further it folds down to a comfortable size and is much more portable than a tall chair.
[0016] In broad embodiment, the present invention is a method of raising a seat or platform to a level close to that of a fence.
[0017] While the foregoing written description of the invention enables one of ordinary skill to make and use what is considered presently to be the best mode thereof, those of ordinary skill will understand and appreciate the existence of variations, combinations, and equivalents of the specific embodiment, method, and examples herein. The invention should therefore not be limited by the above described embodiment, method, and examples, but by all embodiments and methods within the scope and spirit of the invention.
