    Abstract

A tank for garbage filtration and collection. The tank for garbage filtration and collection comprises an inlet made in a tank cover, and an outlet, on which a filtering device is installed, a vertical shaft is installed in the inlet, installed on the bottom of the tank, a window is made in the lower part of the vertical shaft for liquid removal, directed to a side opposite to the filtering device, and the upper part of the vertical shaft is made in the form of a funnel. The tank for garbage filtration and collection can be used to filter a large fluid flow containing a large volume of garbage, particularly in nuclear power plant safety systems.

    Claims

    1. A tank for garbage filtration and collection, comprising an inlet made in a tank cover, and an outlet, on which a filtering device is installed, a vertical shaft is installed in the inlet, installed on the bottom of the tank, a window is made in the vertical shaft for liquid removal, characterized in that the window is made in the lower part of the vertical shaft and directed to a side opposite to the filtering device.

    2. The tank according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper part of the vertical shaft is made in the form of a funnel.

    3. The tank according to claim 1, characterized in that the walls of the vertical shaft are provided with vertical ribs.

    4. The tank according to claim 2, characterized in that the funnel walls are provided with horizontal ribs.

    5. The tank according to claim 2, characterized in that guard is installed on top of the funnel.

DETAILS CONFIRMING THE FEASIBILITY OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0023] A vertical shaft 4 is mounted in the inlet made in the ceiling 1 of the tank, the lower part of the vertical shaft 4 is mounted on the bottom 2 of the tank. The upper part of the vertical shaft 4 in the preferred embodiment is provided with a funnel 3, in which vertical 5 and horizontal 6 ribs are made. A window 8 is made in the lower part of the vertical shaft 4, directed to a side opposite to the filtering device 9. Garbage contained in the flow, mainly garbage is collected in the garbage deposition zone 10. The funnel 3 in the preferred embodiment is provided with a guard 7.

[0024] The tank for garbage filtration and collection in the preferred embodiment operates as follows. When a large flow of liquid containing a large amount of garbage enters from the ceiling 1 of the tank through the funnel 3 into the vertical shaft 4, a liquid flow is formed, which at the same time loses part of its kinetic energy due to braking on the vertical 5 and horizontal 6 ribs made in the funnel 3 and vertical shaft 4. In this case, the guard 7 prevents particularly large pieces of garbage from entering the tank. Then the liquid flow, falling from a height, hits the bottom of the vertical shaft 4 and due to this loses an additional part of the kinetic energy, after which, getting through the window 8 into the main space of the tank, it is directed in the direction opposite to the filtering elements 9, due to which the flow loses an additional part of the kinetic energy on the way to the filtering elements 9, which leads to the deposition of garbage in the garbage deposition zone 10, as far as possible from the filter elements 9, thereby preventing their clogging. This allows them to operate without hindrance, which increases safety.

[0025] The tank for garbage filtration and collection can be used to filter a large fluid flow containing a large volume of garbage, particularly in nuclear power plant safety systems.
