Abstract

A vinyl mesh universal side netting high chair attachment guard, which prevents a child seated in the high chair from throwing objects, such as toys off of the tray to the floor. The invention aids parents by keeping the child safe and engaged with toys for a longer period of time.

In addition, each component of the said invention is washable and conforms to any highchair. For one embodiment vinyl mesh is used to contain objects to the high chair tray. In another preferred embodiment, the plastic rods, which are FDA approved for food use, conform the structure and supports the netting.

In another preferred embodiment, clips or Velcro will be used to fasten the invention to any high chair. Furthermore, the invention can be removed, cleaned and also is portable for travel.

Claims

1. A mesh netting guard that prevents children from throwing objects from the highchair to the floor. A mesh netting is a universal attachment to any high chair. Plastic rods, which are FDA approved for food use, are used to support the mesh in three areas of the mesh for stability. A lower extension of the rod is used to support and conform to the lower portion of the tray. Clips are used to attach the rods to the high chair tray. The rods extend under and along the sides of the tray (fan position of FIG. 2). And further each panel rod is removable for easy cleaning and travel use.

2. A mesh guard for use on a child's high chair having a tray, comprising: a washable netting; support rods mounted on said high chair for suspending said netting adjacent to said tray, said support rods being detachable and positioned to locate said netting to prevent a child from throwing objects from the tray onto the floor.

3. The mesh guard of claim 2 wherein said support rods are positioned to locate said netting to the sides of said tray.

4. The mesh guard of claim 3 wherein said support rods are positioned to locate said netting in a vertical position on each side of said tray.

5. The mesh guard of claim 3 wherein said support rods are positioned to locate said netting at an angle extending upward and away from said tray.

6. The mesh guard of claim 2 wherein said washable netting is a vinyl coated mesh material.

7. The mesh guard of claim 2 wherein said support rods are attached to said tray.

8. The mesh guard of claim 7 wherein said support rods are attached using clips.
