Abstract
A flammable liquid transport system includes a container that may contain a flammable liquid. A bag is provided and the bag may be transported in a vehicle. The container is positioned within the bag. Thus, the bag inhibits the flammable liquid from spilling into the vehicle. The bag is comprised of a fire resistant and fluid impermeable material.
Claims
1. A flammable liquid transport system comprising: a container being configured to contain a flammable liquid; a bag being configured to be transported in a vehicle, said bag having said container being positioned therein wherein said bag is configured to inhibit the flammable liquid from spilling into the vehicle, said bag being comprised of a fire resistant and fluid impermeable material, wherein said bag has a bottom wall and an outer wall extending upwardly from said bottom wall, said outer wall having a distal edge with respect to said bottom wall to define an opening into said bag, said outer wall having a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said bottom wall being comprised of a rigid material, said bottom wall having a bottom surface, each of said first lateral side and said second lateral side sloping toward each other proximate said distal edge; and a plurality of fingers, each of said fingers being coupled to and extending away from said bottom surface wherein each of said fingers is configured to frictionally engage the vehicle thereby inhibiting said bag from sliding in the vehicle, said fingers being spaced apart from each other and distributed on said bottom surface, said fingers being distributed into a plurality of rows and columns over an entirety of said bottom surface, each of said fingers being elongated and cylindrical extending away from said bottom surface.
2. (canceled)
3. (canceled)
4. The system according to claim 1, further comprising a pair of handles, each of said handles being coupled to said bag thereby facilitating said bag to be carried, each of said handles being positioned on an associated one of said first lateral side and said second lateral side, each of said handles extending beyond said distal edge.
5. The system according to claim 1, further comprising a fastener being coupled to said bag such that said fastener selectively opens and closes said bag, said fastener being positioned on said first lateral side, said fastener being coextensive with said distal edge corresponding to said first lateral side.
6. The system according to claim 5, wherein said fastener engages said second lateral side when said fastener is manipulated, said fastener forming a fluid impermeable seal between said first lateral side and said second lateral side wherein said fastener is configured to inhibit the flammable fluid from escaping said bag.
7. A flammable liquid transport system comprising: a container being configured to contain a flammable liquid; a bag being configured to be transported in a vehicle, said bag having said container being positioned therein wherein said bag is configured to inhibit the flammable liquid from spilling into the vehicle, said bag being comprised of a fire resistant and fluid impermeable material, said bag having a bottom wall and an outer wall extending upwardly from said bottom wall, said outer wall having a distal edge with respect to said bottom wall to define an opening into said bag, said outer wall having a first lateral side and a second lateral side, said bottom wall being comprised of a rigid material, said bottom wall having a bottom surface, each of said first lateral side and said second lateral side sloping toward each other proximate said distal edge; a plurality of fingers, each of said fingers being coupled to and extending away from said bottom surface wherein each of said fingers is configured to frictionally engage the vehicle thereby inhibiting said bag from sliding in the vehicle, said fingers being spaced apart from each other and distributed on said bottom surface, said fingers being distributed into a plurality of rows and columns over an entirety of said bottom surface, each of said fingers being elongated and cylindrical extending away from said bottom surface; a pair of handles, each of said handles being coupled to said bag thereby facilitating said bag to be carried, each of said handles being positioned on an associated one of said first lateral side and said second lateral side, each of said handles extending beyond said distal edge; and a fastener being coupled to said bag such that said fastener selectively opens and closes said bag, said fastener being positioned on said first lateral side, said fastener being coextensive with said distal edge corresponding to said first lateral side, said fastener engaging said second lateral side when said fastener is manipulated, said fastener forming a fluid impermeable seal between said first lateral side and said second lateral side wherein said fastener is configured to inhibit the flammable fluid from escaping said bag.
Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0005] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0011] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0012] As best illustrated in
[0013] The bag 16 is comprised of a fire resistant and fluid impermeable material. The bag 16 has a bottom wall 20 and an outer wall 22 extending upwardly from the bottom wall 20. The outer wall 22 has a distal edge 24 with respect to the bottom wall 20 to define an opening 26 into the bag 16. The outer wall 22 has a first lateral side 28 and a second lateral side 30. The bottom wall 20 is comprised of a rigid material and the bottom wall 20 has a bottom surface 32. Each of the first lateral side 28 and the second lateral side 30 slope toward each other proximate the distal edge 24.
[0014] A plurality of fingers 34 is provided and each of the fingers 34 is coupled to and extends away from the bottom surface 32. Thus, each of the fingers 34 frictionally engages the vehicle 18 thereby inhibiting the bag 16 from sliding in the vehicle 18. The fingers 34 are spaced apart from each other and distributed on the bottom surface 32. Each of the fingers 34 may be comprised of a rigid material.
[0015] A pair of handles 36 is provided and each of the handles 36 is coupled to the bag 16 thereby facilitating the bag 16 to be carried. Each of the handles 36 is positioned on an associated one of the first lateral side 28 and the second lateral side 30. Each of the handles 36 extends beyond the distal edge 24. Each of the handles 36 may comprise a strap or the like that is coupled to the outer wall 22.
[0016] A fastener 38 is coupled to the bag 16 such that the fastener 38 selectively opens and closes the bag 16. The fastener 38 may be positioned on the first lateral side 28 and the fastener is coextensive with the distal edge 24 corresponding to the first lateral side 28. The fastener 38 engages the second lateral side 30 when the fastener 38 is manipulated. The fastener 38 forms a fluid impermeable seal between the first lateral side 28 and the second lateral side 30. Thus, the fastener 38 inhibits the flammable fluid 14 from escaping the bag 16. The fastener 38 may comprise a zipper or the like.
[0017] In use, the container 12 is filled with the flammable liquid 14 and the container 12 is placed within the bag 16. The fastener 38 is manipulated to close the bag 16. The bag 16 and the container 12 are transported. The bag 16 inhibits the flammable liquid 14 from contaminating the vehicle 18 and surrounding area when the flammable liquid 14 is spilled from the container 12. Additionally, the bag 16 inhibits vapors emitted by the flammable liquid 14 from contaminating the vehicle 18 and the surrounding area.
[0018] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0019] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word comprising is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article a does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
