    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] The present invention advantageously provides a garment weight assemblage for optimally weighting a lower edge of a garment. The present invention provides for a magnetic version of the garment weight assemblage, however, this invention contemplates various types of implementations of securing any of the garment weight assemblage to a garment, such as a dress, blouse, skirt, long shirt, or the like.

[0023] Accordingly, the system and method components have been represented where appropriate by conventional symbols in the drawings, showing only those specific details that are pertinent to understanding the embodiments of the present invention so as not to obscure the disclosure with details that will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of the description herein.

[0024] Referring now to the drawings figures in which like reference designators refer to like elements. FIG. 1 shows an exemplary garment weight constructed in accordance with the principles of the present invention and designated generally as garment weight 10. The invention contemplates the use of a plurality of garment weights 10 forming a garment weight assemblage in combination.

[0025] The garment weight 10 includes a first magnetic component 12 and a second magnetic component 14, the first magnetic component 12 is separable from the second magnetic component 14. The first and second magnetic components 12, 14 are operably magnetically aligned and positioned on opposite sides of a garments' material where the first and second magnetic components 12, 14 magnetically connect to one another.

[0026] Each of the first magnetic component 12 of the garment weight assemblage are positioned about the outside of a garment in operation and each of the second magnetic component 14 of the garment weight assemblage are positioned about the inside of the garment in operation.

[0027] Referring now to FIG. 2, the first magnetic component 12 includes a top portion 16 and a bottom portion 18. The top portion 16 of each first magnetic component 12 are intended to viewable on the outside of the garment, and each top portion 16 includes an outer body 20, such as a plastic button. The bottom portion comprises a magnet, such as a neodymium magnet.

[0028] In one embodiment, the outer body 20 may receive a portion or all of the bottom portion 18 therein. In one embodiment, the outer body 20 fully encapsulates the magnetic bottom portion 18.

[0029] In one embodiment, the outer body 20 receives a portion of the bottom portion 18 such that the magnetic portion of the bottom portion 18 is flush with at least a portion of an outer surface 22 of the outer body 20.

[0030] Referring now to FIG. 3, each of the second magnetic components 14, the components underneath the garment, include a top portion 24 and a bottom portion 26. The second magnetic components comprises a magnetic bottom portion 26, such as a neodymium magnet and a weight member top portion 24, such as a classic mosaic tile. Other weight members may be implemented within the spirit and scope of the instant embodiment.

[0031] Referring now to FIG. 4 is a front perspective view of one second magnetic component 14 that has a weight member top portion 24 and a magnetic bottom portion 26.

[0032] Referring now to FIG. 5 is a side view of the second magnetic component 12 that includes a top portion 16 secured against a bottom portion 18. While the instant embodiment depicts the top and bottom portion 16, 18 secured against one another, other embodiments may include the bottom portion 18 at least partially within and/or fully encapsulated by the top portion 16.

[0033] Referring now to FIG. 6, a side view of one second magnetic component 14 is shown and has a weight member top portion 24 and a magnetic bottom portion 26.

[0034] Referring now to FIG. 7 is a front perspective view of a garment weight assemblage 28 secured with a garment 30, the garment weight assemblage 28 that comprises a plurality of garment weights 10, the first magnetic components 12 of a garment weight assemblage 28 are secured on the outside of the garment 30.

[0035] Referring now to FIG. 8 is a rear perspective view of the garment weight assemblage 28 secured with the garment 30 that comprises a plurality of first magnetic components 12 of a garment weight assemblage 28 secured on the outside of the garment 30.

[0036] Referring now to FIG. 9, a cross-sectional view of the garment weight 10 is shown taken along line A-A of FIG. 7, the first magnetic component 12 and the second magnetic component 14 are positioned magnetically secured together sandwiching the garment 30.

[0037] In one non-limiting exemplary embodiment, the second magnetic component includes the weight member top portion 24 comprises one mosaic tile and the magnetic bottom portion 26 comprises one neodymium magnet are implemented for weighting and for magnetic connection thereof.

[0038] In one non-limiting embodiment, the garment weight assemblage 28 includes four garment weights positionable uniformly about a bottom edge 32 of the garment 30.

[0039] In one non-limiting embodiment, the garment weight assemblage 28 should be of a determined weight that when placed about a garment 30 prevents that garment 30 from being lifted due to wind, but also of a determined weight that avoids visible tugging on the garment or otherwise alters the natural flow of the garment. In operation, the weight should be heavy enough to protect the garment weight 10 from raising due to wind but blends into the garment.

[0040] In one non-limiting embodiment, the top portion 16 comprises a button secured with the magnetic bottom portion 18.

[0041] And of the elements discussed herein may be connected via an adhesive such as glue. For example, the top portion and bottom portion 16, 18 may be secured together via glue or like adhesive.

[0042] Each of the first magnetic components may be implemented with a variety of different colors on the top portion to blend each of the top portions into each individual garment and not be easily noticed.

[0043] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a object is to provide each garment weight assemblage set placeable on the bottom portions of the front, back, right side, and left side of the garment to keep the garment in place during events and/or times where wind exposure may be present.

[0044] As used herein, when the term and/or is used, it shall include all combinations of one or more of the associated described items.

[0045] It will be appreciated by persons skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited to what has been particularly shown and described herein above. In addition, unless mention was made above to the contrary, it should be noted that all of the accompanying drawings are not to scale. A variety of modifications and variations are contemplated in light of the above teachings without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. It will be readily apparent that various changes may be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure or sacrificing all of its material advantages. The examples and embodiments described herein are merely exemplary of the instant disclosure.
