Abstract
A garment that is a functional and aesthetically pleasing scarf which can be configured into a variety of states. The versatile scarf includes a scarf and a magnetic button. The scarf provides cover to the wearer and includes a first sleeve, a second sleeve, and a body cover. The body cover provides protection to the back region of the wearer. The body cover is adjacently connected the first sleeve and the second sleeve about a proximal opening of each sleeve. The first sleeve and the second sleeve cover the arms of the wearer and are positioned opposite to each other across the body cover. The magnetic button attaches the scarf to the clothes of the wearer. The magnetic button includes a first magnetic element and a second magnetic element. The first magnetic element is magnetically attached to the second magnetic element through an at least one layer of the scarf.
Claims
1. A versatile scarf garment comprises: a scarf; an at least one magnetic button; the scarf comprises a first sleeve, a second sleeve, and a body cover; the magnetic button comprises a first magnetic element and a second magnetic element; the body cover being adjacently connected to the first sleeve about a proximal opening of the first sleeve; the body cover being adjacently connected to the second sleeve about a proximal opening of the second sleeve; the first sleeve and the second sleeve being positioned opposite to each other across the body cover; and the first magnetic element being magnetically attached to the second magnetic element through an at least one layer of the scarf.
2. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: a seam; the first sleeve and the second sleeve each comprise a planar body; a top edge of the planar body being connected along a bottom edge of the planar body by the seam; and the body cover being adjacently connected to the planar body in between the top edge and the bottom edge.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: a fastening mechanism; the first sleeve and the second sleeve each comprise a planar body; a top edge of the planar body being connected along a bottom edge of the planar body by the fastening mechanism; and the body cover being adjacently connected to the planar body in between the top edge and the bottom edge.
4. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: the magnetic button further comprises a decorative grip; and the decorative grip being adjacently connected to the first magnetic element, opposite the scarf.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a scarf inserted configuration; and the first sleeve forming at least one loop by traversing the second sleeve from a proximal opening of the second sleeve to a distal opening of the second sleeve.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a jacket shawl configuration; the second sleeve being folded over on to the body portion adjacent to the first sleeve; and the second sleeve and the body portion being positioned in between the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element.
7. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 6 comprises: a knot being tied into the second sleeve in between a proximal opening of the second sleeve to a distal opening of the second sleeve.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a shawl-with-button configuration; the first sleeve being folded over on to the second sleeve; and the first sleeve and the second sleeve being positioned in between the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element.
9. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 1 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a scarf-twisted configuration; and the first sleeve and the second sleeve being knotted with each other.
10. A versatile scarf garment comprises: a scarf; an at least one magnetic button; a fastening mechanism; the scarf comprises a first sleeve, a second sleeve, and a body cover; the magnetic button comprises a first magnetic element and a second magnetic element; the first sleeve and the second sleeve each comprise a planar body; the body cover being adjacently connected to the first sleeve about a proximal opening of the first sleeve; the body cover being adjacently connected to the second sleeve about a proximal opening of the second sleeve; the first sleeve and the second sleeve being positioned opposite to each other across the body cover; the first magnetic element being magnetically attached to the second magnetic element through an at least one layer of the scarf; a top edge of the planar body being connected along a bottom edge of the planar body by the fastening mechanism; and the body cover being adjacently connected to the planar body in between the top edge and the bottom edge.
11. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 10 comprises: the magnetic button further comprises a decorative grip; and the decorative grip being adjacently connected to the first magnetic element, opposite the scarf.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 10 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a scarf inserted configuration; and the first sleeve forming at least one loop by traversing the second sleeve from a proximal opening of the second sleeve to a distal opening of the second sleeve.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 10 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a jacket shawl configuration; the second sleeve being folded over on to the body portion adjacent to the first sleeve; and the second sleeve and the body portion being positioned in between the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element.
14. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 13 comprises: a knot being tied into the second sleeve in between a proximal opening of the second sleeve to a distal opening of the second sleeve.

The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 10 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a shawl-with-button configuration; the first sleeve being folded over on to the second sleeve; and the first sleeve and the second sleeve being positioned in between the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element.
16. The versatile scarf garment as claimed in claim 10 comprises: wherein the magnetic button and the scarf being arranged into a scarf-twisted configuration; and the first sleeve and the second sleeve being knotted with each other.

[0016] The present invention is an alternative design for a scarf. More specifically, the present invention is a versatile scarf garment designed to be worn around the shoulders, arms, and head region in a multitude of different configurations. The present invention enables a wearer to achieve these different configurations through the use of a pair of sleeves and an at least one magnetic button 12. For example, the present invention may be worn as a jacket with extended sleeves, a jacket shawl, a regular shawl, a vest, and a scarf.

[0019] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the magnetic button 12 further comprises a decorative grip 15. The decorative grip 15 serves two main purposes. First, the decorative grip 15 acts as the grasping element for the magnetic button 12 in order to allow the wearer to easily manipulate and handle the magnetic button 12. Second, the decorative grip 15 acts as an aesthetic element, thus allowing the wearer to further customize the magnetic button 12 in order to match his or her specific preferences. The decorative grip 15 is adjacently connected to the first magnetic element 13, opposite the scarf 1. As a result, the decorative grip 15 orients outward from the scarf 1 and the wearer. The design, shape, material composition, and size of the decorative grip 15 may vary in order to meet the needs and preferences of the wearer. For example, the decorative grip 15 may be flower shaped.
