    Abstract

The appealing abstract feature of the Air Pillow is the connecting internal bladder and pump. The pump allows the consumer to customize his or her pillow to their individual level of comfort and guaranteed to stay in that position until manually readjusted.

    Claims

    1. My claim is directed specifically to the Silicone internal bladder.

    2. My claim is directed specifically to the pump.

    3. My claim is directed specifically to the rubber tubing that connects the internal bladder and the pump.

    Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTON OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

[0016] Drawing 1. Identifies the internal bladder. There is only one (1) view because the bladder is flat until pumped up and the front and back look the same. The section on the right of drawing 1, marked (a) identifies where the tubing will connect to the bladder.

[0017] Drawing 2. Identifies the pump which will activate the bladder. There is only one (1) view of the pump as the back side has a flat surface. The section on top of drawing 2, identified as (b) is where the pump will connect to the pump.

[0018] Drawing 3. Identifies the rubber tubing that connects the bladder to the pump. There is only one (1) view because the tubing is the same all around.

[0019] All drawings are not to scale.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTON OF THE INVENTION

[0020] The Air Pillow can be produced easily using conventional and readily available materials and manufacturing that already exist. No new production technology would be required.

[0021] The fact that the Air Pillow has an internal bladder with attachable pump, is what distinguishes this pillow from any other.

[0022] The Air Pillow bladder will be produced from Silicone. Silicone compounds are polymers with stability and flexibility and are extremely resistant to both high and low temperatures as well as being resistant to oils, dilute acids, and sunlight.

[0023] The pump will also be produced form silicone as well at the tubing which attaches the bladder to the pump.

[0024] The bladder and pump are surrounded by pillow stuffing such as down, goose down, cotton, etc. The housing of the bladder, pump and stuffing will consist of various fabrics such as cotton, cotton/polyester, satin, flannel, etc.

[0025] Manufacturing the Air Pillow will come from the use of the traditional Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce to structure their databases of manufactures. Under the SIC system, each manufacturing category is assigned a numerical classification code. The following represents the number of manufactures classified in the broad category corresponding to Air Pillow. [0026] 2,437 Manufactures of Fabricated Rubber Products, n.e.c (SIC 3069) [0027] 1,904 Manufactures of Textile House furnishings, Except Curtains and Drapes (SIC 2392)

[0028] In 1997 the U.S. Department of Commerce implemented a new classification system, the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) which is a more comprehensive way for the Department of commerce to report economic statistics. Both systems continue to be used and will be used to identify a suitable manufacture for the Air Pillow.
