Abstract

A ring preferably made of elastic material, the ring including a groove having a first shape and a removable ring insert that fits within the groove.

Claims

1. A ring comprising a ring base including a groove having a first shape, and a removable ring insert in the shape of the first shape so that the ring insert fits tightly within the groove.

2. The ring of claim 1 wherein the removable ring insert is made of an elastic material.

3. The ring of claim 2 wherein the ring base is made of an elastic material.

4. The ring of claim 2 wherein the removable ring insert is made of silicone rubber.

5. The ring of claim 4 wherein the ring base is made of silicone rubber.

6. The ring of claim 1 wherein the ring insert fits flush within the groove.

[0013] FIG. 1 shows a basic embodiment of a first ring 10 as described herein, the first ring 10 including a first ring base 12 and a first ring insert 14. The first ring insert 14 is removable from the first ring base 12 as shown, for example, in FIG. 2. The first ring insert 14 fits within a first groove 16 along the first ring base 12. In some embodiments, the first ring insert 14 fits flush within the first groove 16 as shown in FIG. 1. Different ring inserts can be interchanged and used with the same ring base. In this way, a ring can be accompanied by multiple ring inserts, each having a different color or style.
