COSMETIC CONTAINER HAVING A PATTERN LAYER

Abstract

A cosmetic container includes a casing including a base having a receptacle on a bottom, and a cover pivotably secured to the base for opening or closing the base; a metal tray disposed in the receptacle and including a first pattern layer on a bottom, the first pattern layer having a design or alphabets formed thereon; and a transparent cosmetic product disposed in the metal tray and on the first pattern layer. The cover includes a hinge tube on an edge and a latch on the edge opposing the hinge tube. The base includes a cavity on an edge hingedly secured to the hinge tube, and a recess on the edge releasably secured to the latch.

Claims

1. A cosmetic container, comprising: a casing including a base having a receptacle on a bottom, and a cover pivotably secured to the base for opening or closing the base; at least one metal tray disposed in the receptacle, each metal tray including at least one first pattern layer on a bottom, each first pattern layer having a design or alphabets formed thereon; and at least one transparent cosmetic product each disposed in the at least one metal tray and on the at least one first pattern layer.

2. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the at least one first pattern layer is formed on the bottom of the at least one metal tray by laser impinging.

3. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the at least one first pattern layer is formed on the bottom of the at least one metal tray by screen printing.

4. The cosmetic container of claim 1, further comprising a plastic sheet formed on an underside of the at least one first pattern layer, the plastic sheet including an adhesive layer secured onto the bottom of the at least one metal tray.

5. The cosmetic container of claim 1, further comprising a second pattern layer formed on an underside of the at least one metal tray.

6. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the at least one transparent cosmetic product is solid or powdered block.

7. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the cover includes a hinge tube on an edge, and the base includes a cavity on an edge hingedly secured to the hinge tube.

8. The cosmetic container of claim 7, wherein the cover further comprises a latch on the edge opposing the hinge tube, and the base further comprises a recess on the edge releasably secured to the latch.

9. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the cover and the base are formed integrally.

10. The cosmetic container of claim 1, wherein the at least one metal tray is made of aluminum or iron.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0019] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 8, a cosmetic container 100 in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a casing 10 as discussed in detail below.

[0020] The casing 10 includes a cover 11 and a base 12. The cover 11 includes a hinge tube 111 on an edge and a latch 112 on the edge opposing the hinge tube 111. The base 12 includes a cavity 121 on an edge hingedly secured to the hinge tube 111, a recess 122 on the edge releasably secured to the latch 112 by snapping, and a receptacle 123 on a bottom defined by the raised edge. Thus, the cover 11 can be pivoted to close or open the base 12.

[0021] As shown in FIG. 7 specifically, in another configuration the cover 11 and the base 12 are formed integrally.

[0022] There is further provided a metal tray 20 in the receptacle 123. The metal tray 20 includes a first pattern layer 21 on a bottom. The first pattern layer 21 has a design or alphabets formed thereon. In the embodiment, the metal tray 20 is made of aluminum or iron. The first pattern layer 21 is formed on the bottom of the metal tray 20 by laser impinging (see FIG. 4). A surface of the first pattern layer 21 is uneven due to the pattern.

[0023] A transparent cosmetic product 30 is disposed in the metal tray 20 and on the first pattern layer 21. The transparent cosmetic product 30 is implemented as solid (e.g., mascara, lipstick, etc.) or powdered block (e.g., powder, blush, etc.).

[0024] As shown in FIG. 5 specifically, there is further provided a plastic sheet 40 formed on an underside of the first pattern layer 21. The plastic sheet 40 includes an adhesive layer 41 secured onto the bottom of the metal tray 20. The adhesive layer 41 is a double-sided tape or glue.

[0025] As shown in FIG. 6 specifically, the first pattern layer 21 is formed on the bottom of the metal tray 20 by screen printing. Thus, a surface of the first pattern layer 21 is flat without being adversely affected by the pattern of the first pattern layer 21.

[0026] As shown in FIG. 8 specifically, both the cover 11 and the base 12 are formed of a transparent material. A second pattern layer 22 is formed on an underside of the metal tray 20. Thus, a user may see the design or the alphabets of the second pattern layer 22 through the base 12.

[0027] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 specifically, when a user uses the cosmetic container 100, the user may take the transparent cosmetic product 30 on the first pattern layer 21. The design or the alphabets of the first pattern layer 21 will not be compromised even when the transparent cosmetic product 30 is consumed. The user can clearly see the design or the alphabets of the first pattern layer 21 through the transparent cosmetic product 30. Thus, integrity of the first pattern layer 21 is maintained.

[0028] Referring to FIG. 9, a cosmetic container in accordance with a second preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The characteristics of the second preferred embodiment are substantially the same as that of the first preferred embodiment except the following: there are a plurality of (e.g., two) metal trays 20 in the base 12. Each metal tray 20 includes the first pattern layer 21 with the transparent cosmetic product 30 disposed thereon. This embodiment aims to increase variants of the cosmetic container.

[0029] Referring to FIG. 10, a cosmetic container in accordance with a third preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The characteristics of the third preferred embodiment are substantially the same as that of the first preferred embodiment except the following: The metal tray 20 includes a plurality of (e.g., three) first pattern layers 21 each with the transparent cosmetic product 30 disposed thereon. This embodiment aims to increase variants of the cosmetic container.
