Abstract
Systems, methods, and other embodiments for a detachable documentation holder system, including a case assembly, wherein the case assembly includes documentation removably retained within the case assembly, a dock assembly removably connected to one side of the case assembly, wherein the dock assembly is located over the documentation so that the documentation is not visible while being retained within the case assembly, and an adjustable clip assembly operatively connected to a first side of the dock assembly.
Claims
1. A detachable documentation holder system, comprising: a case assembly, wherein the case assembly includes documentation removably retained within the case assembly; a dock assembly removably connected to one side of the case assembly, wherein the dock assembly is located over the documentation so that the documentation is not visible while being retained within the case assembly; and an adjustable clip assembly operatively connected to a first side of the dock assembly.
2. The detachable documentation holder system, according to claim 1, wherein the dock assembly further comprises: a base having a first side and a second side; and an opening located on the base, wherein the adjustable clip assembly is operatively connected to the first side of the base at the opening.
3. The detachable documentation holder system, according to claim 2, wherein the dock assembly further comprises: a dock thumb tab located at one end of the base; and an opening located on the dock thumb tab.

The detachable documentation holder system, according to claim 1, wherein the clip assembly further comprises: a first connector; an extension having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the extension is rotatably connected to the first connector; and a second connector, wherein the second connector is rotatably connected to the second end of the extension; and first and second clip arms operatively connected to the second connector.

The detachable documentation holder system, according to claim 4, wherein the clip assembly further comprises: a plurality of first gear teeth located around a periphery of one end of the first connector; a plurality of second gear teeth located around a periphery of the first end of the extension, wherein the plurality of first gear teeth interact with the plurality of second gear teeth; a plurality of third gear teeth located around a periphery of one end of the second connector; and a plurality of fourth gear teeth located around a periphery of the second end of the extension, wherein the plurality of third gear teeth interact with the plurality of fourth gear teeth.

The detachable documentation holder system, according to claim 3, wherein the case assembly further comprises: a case having a case opening; a plurality of first slots located along second and third sides of the case, wherein the dock assembly is removably connected to the plurality of first slots; a second slot located along one end of the case and located adjacent to the plurality of first slots, wherein the second slot is sized and shaped to retain the documentation; a dock catch protrusion located at one end of the case, wherein the dock catch protrusion is configured to interact with the opening located on the dock thumb tab; a plurality of springs located within the case; and a recess located within the case, wherein the recess is located adjacent to the plurality of springs and wherein the documentation is retained within the recess by the plurality of springs.
7. The detachable documentation holder system, according to claim 1, wherein the detachable documentation holder system further comprises: indicia located on a portion of another side of the case assembly.
8. A method of constructing a detachable documentation holder system, comprising: providing a case assembly, wherein the case assembly includes documentation removably retained within the case assembly; removably attaching a dock assembly to one side of the case assembly, wherein the dock assembly is located over the documentation so that the documentation is not visible while being retained within the case assembly; and attaching an adjustable clip assembly to a first side of the dock assembly.

The method, according to claim 8, wherein the removably attaching a dock assembly further comprises: providing a base having a first side and a second side; and providing an opening located on the base, wherein the adjustable clip assembly is operatively connected to the first side of the base at the opening.
10. The method, according to claim 9, wherein the removably attaching a dock assembly further comprises: providing a dock thumb tab located at one end of the base; and providing an opening located on the dock thumb tab.

The method, according to claim 8, wherein the attaching an adjustable clip assembly further comprises: providing a first connector; providing an extension having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the extension is rotatably connected to the first connector; and providing a second connector, wherein the second connector is rotatably connected to the second end of the extension; and first and second clip arms operatively connected to the second connector.

The method, according to claim 11, wherein the attaching an adjustable clip assembly further comprises: providing a plurality of first gear teeth located around a periphery of one end of the first connector; providing a plurality of second gear teeth located around a periphery of the first end of the extension, wherein the plurality of first gear teeth interact with the plurality of second gear teeth; providing a plurality of third gear teeth located around a periphery of one end of the second connector; and providing a plurality of fourth gear teeth located around a periphery of the second end of the extension, wherein the plurality of third gear teeth interact with the plurality of fourth gear teeth.
13. The method, according to claim 10, wherein the providing a case assembly further comprises: providing a case having a case opening; providing a plurality of first slots located along second and third sides of the case, wherein the dock assembly is removably connected to the plurality of first slots; providing a second slot located along one end of the case and located adjacent to the plurality of first slots, wherein the second slot is sized and shaped to retain the documentation; providing a dock catch protrusion located at one end of the case, wherein the dock catch protrusion is configured to interact with the opening located on the dock thumb tab; providing a plurality of springs located within the case; and providing a recess located within the case, wherein the recess is located adjacent to the plurality of springs and wherein the documentation is retained within the recess by the plurality of springs.
14. The method, according to claim 8, wherein the method further comprises: providing indicia located on a portion of another side of the case assembly.
15. A method of using a detachable documentation holder system, comprising: providing a case assembly; locating documentation within the case assembly, wherein the documentation is removably retained within the case assembly; removably attaching a dock assembly to one side of the case assembly, wherein the dock assembly is located over the documentation so that the documentation is not visible while being retained within the case assembly; attaching an adjustable clip assembly to a first side of the dock assembly, wherein the adjustable clip assembly is removably attached to a desired retaining surface.

The method, according to claim 15, wherein the removably attaching a dock assembly further comprises: providing a base having a first side and a second side; and providing an opening located on the base, wherein the adjustable clip assembly is operatively connected to the first side of the base at the opening.
17. The method, according to claim 16, wherein the removably attaching a dock assembly further comprises: providing a dock thumb tab located at one end of the base; and providing an opening located on the dock thumb tab.

The method, according to claim 15, wherein the attaching an adjustable clip assembly further comprises: providing a first connector; providing an extension having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the extension is rotatably connected to the first connector; and providing a second connector, wherein the second connector is rotatably connected to the second end of the extension; and first and second clip arms operatively connected to the second connector.

The method, according to claim 18 wherein the attaching an adjustable clip assembly further comprises: providing a plurality of first gear teeth located around a periphery of one end of the first connector; providing a plurality of second gear teeth located around a periphery of the first end of the extension, wherein the plurality of first gear teeth interact with the plurality of second gear teeth; providing a plurality of third gear teeth located around a periphery of one end of the second connector; and providing a plurality of fourth gear teeth located around a periphery of the second end of the extension, wherein the plurality of third gear teeth interact with the plurality of fourth gear teeth.

The method, according to claim 17 wherein the providing a case assembly further comprises: providing a case having a case opening; providing a plurality of first slots located along second and third sides of the case, wherein the dock assembly is removably connected to the plurality of first slots; providing a second slot located along one end of the case and located adjacent to the plurality of first slots, wherein the second slot is sized and shaped to retain the documentation; providing a dock catch protrusion located at one end of the case, wherein the dock catch protrusion is configured to interact with the opening located on the dock thumb tab; providing a plurality of springs located within the case; and providing a recess located within the case, wherein the recess is located adjacent to the plurality of springs and wherein the documentation is retained within the recess by the plurality of springs.
