More specifically, there is a long-felt need in the art for an attachable tray device that provides an attachable surface for a portable chair.

[0026] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a novel table attachment device. The device is an attachment for collapsible chairs that functions as a portable table. The table attachment device comprises a pivotable primary tabletop, a secondary tabletop, two collapsible legs and an attachment component with adjustable clips that clip onto an armrest of a collapsible chair. Thus, once the device is secured to a collapsible chair, a user can place food, beverages, utensils, and/or other items on the tabletops. The present invention also includes a novel method of conveniently setting up the table attachment device. The method includes the steps of providing a table attachment device comprising a primary tabletop, a secondary tabletop, an attachment component, and collapsible legs with hinged support bars. The method also comprises unfolding the collapsible legs. Further, the method comprises expanding the hinged support bars of the legs, locking them into place. Next, the method comprises attaching the device to the armrest of a collapsible chair via securing the adjustable clips of the attachment component to the armrest. Further, the method comprises pivoting the primary tabletop 90 degrees to reveal the secondary tabletop. Finally, the method comprises utilizing the device to hold food, beverages, and other items.

[0027] Referring initially to the drawings, FIGS. 1-9 illustrates multiple perspective views of one potential embodiment of the table attachment device 100 of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the table attachment device 100 is designed to serve as a portable, easy-to-install surface for use with collapsible chairs. The table attachment device 100 is comprised of a pivotable primary tabletop 110, a secondary tabletop 120, at least two collapsible legs 130, and an attachment component 140 with adjustable clips 142 that securely fasten onto the armrest 202 of a collapsible chair 200. Once the device 100 is secured to the chair 200, a user can conveniently place food, beverages, utensils, or other items on the primary tabletop 110 and/or secondary tabletop 120, enabling a comfortable outdoor or portable dining experience.

[0028] The primary tabletop 110 is typically rectangular, but may assume other shapes, such as circular, oval, or polygonal, depending on the application. The primary tabletop 110 is attached to the secondary tabletop 120 via at least one pivotable fastener 112. This fastener 112 enables the primary tabletop 110 to pivot horizontally by at least 90 degrees, allowing access to the secondary tabletop 120, effectively doubling the available surface area for the user. Alternative pivot mechanisms may include swivel joints, friction hinges, or ball-and-socket joints to allow more versatile movement and angle adjustments of the primary tabletop 110 relative to the secondary tabletop 120.

[0029] The secondary tabletop 120, similar to the primary tabletop 110, is typically rectangular but may be configured in various shapes. The tabletop 120 is attached beneath the primary tabletop 110 via the pivotable fastener 112 and supported by at least two collapsible legs 130. These collapsible legs 130, connected to the underside of the secondary tabletop 120 through fasteners 134, are equipped with hinged support bars 132, allowing the legs 130 to fold inward when not in use, reducing the overall size of the device 100 for easy transportation and storage. The legs 130 may be constructed from lightweight, durable materials such as aluminum or reinforced plastic to ensure portability while maintaining structural integrity. At the distal ends of the collapsible legs 130, endcaps 136 are fitted, typically comprised of rubber or silicone, to enhance stability and prevent slipping on various surfaces. These endcaps 136 may also feature anti-skid textures or shock-absorbing materials to provide additional stability, especially on uneven terrain.

[0030] The attachment component 140, located on the underside of the secondary tabletop 120, is comprised of adjustable clips 142 designed to engage with the armrest 202 of a collapsible chair 200. The adjustable clips 142 may include tension screws or spring-loaded mechanisms to accommodate different armrest widths and shapes, ensuring a secure and stable attachment. The material used for the clips 142 may include impact-resistant plastic or metal alloys to withstand repeated use without compromising the attachment strength.

[0031] As illustrated in FIGS. 6, 7, and 9, the setup of the table attachment device 100 involves unfolding the collapsible legs 130 and expanding the hinged support bars 132 to lock the legs 130 into place. The device 100 is then secured to the armrest 202 by fastening the adjustable clips 142. The user can then pivot the primary tabletop 110 to access the secondary tabletop 120, thus providing additional surface area for holding items.

[0032] The device 100 is highly customizable in terms of color, design, and material. The primary tabletop 110 and secondary tabletop 120 can be manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or other suitable materials such as polypropylene, ABS plastic, or polycarbonate. These materials provide durability and water resistance, ideal for outdoor use. Moreover, the tabletops 110,120 may be made of a waterproof and/or UV-resistant material to enhance longevity when exposed to the elements.

[0033] In addition to its functional features, the table attachment device 100 may comprise various indicia 400, such as logos, emblems, or designs printed, painted, or stamped onto the surface of the primary or secondary tabletops. The indicia 400 can be customized for promotional purposes, such as displaying advertisements or branding for event sponsors. It will also be appreciated that there are a number of additional add-on features that can be incorporated into the device 100 and moreover, the table attachment device 100 can take many different forms as is known in the art.

[0034] FIG. 10 illustrates a flowchart of the method 300 of conveniently setting up the table attachment device. The method 300 includes the steps of, at 301, providing a table attachment device 100 comprising a primary tabletop 110, a secondary tabletop 120, an attachment component 140, and collapsible legs 130 with hinged support bars 132. The method 300 also comprises at 302, unfolding the collapsible legs 130. Further, the method 300 comprises at 303, expanding the hinged support bars 132 of the legs 130, locking them into place. Next, the method 300 comprises at 304, attaching the device 100 to the armrest 202 of a collapsible chair 200 via securing the adjustable clips 142 of the attachment component 140 to the armrest 202. Further, the method comprises 300 at 305, pivoting the primary tabletop 90 degrees to reveal the secondary tabletop. Finally, the method comprises at 306, utilizing the device to hold food, beverages, and other items.
