Abstract
A reinforced sports board comprises a foam core, a deck, and a bottom board. The deck is entirely bonded to the entire top surface of the foam core. The deck includes a first top foam skin, a second top foam skin, and a non-foamed plastic layer positioned between them, with the first top foam skin situated between the non-foamed plastic layer and the foam core. The bottom board is entirely bonded to the entire bottom surface of the foam core.
Claims
1. A sports board comprising: a foam core; a deck, fully bonded to all top surfaces of the foam core, wherein the deck includes a first top foam skin, a second top foam skin, and a non-foamed plastic layer between them, with the first top foam skin positioned between the non-foamed plastic layer and the foam core board; a bottom board, fully bonded to all bottom surfaces of the foam core board.
2. The sports board as recited in claim 1, wherein the deck comprises a non-foamed plastic film, and the non-foamed plastic film is fully bonded to the second top foam skin.
3. The sports board as recited in claim 1, wherein the deck comprises a non-foamed plastic film, and the non-foamed plastic film is fully bonded to the second top foam skin, and wherein the entire peripheral edge of the deck extends to the peripheral surface of the foam core and is flush with the bottom surface of the foam core.
4. The sports board as recited in claim 1, wherein the entire peripheral edge of the bottom board extends outward beyond the bottom surface of the foam core and bends upward so that the portion of the bottom board near the peripheral edge is integrally attached to the deck
5. The sports board as recited in claim 4, wherein the bottom board comprises a bottom foam skin and a non-foamed plastic plate, and the bottom board is located between the non-foamed plastic plate and the foam core.
6. The sports board as recited in claim 5, wherein the bottom board is only bonded to the bottom surface of the foam core and is not bonded to the peripheral surface of the foam core.
7. The sports board as recited in claim 6, wherein the peripheral edge of the bottom board does not exceed half the vertical width of the peripheral surface of the foam core.
8. A sports board, comprising: a foam core; a deck fully bonded to all top and peripheral surfaces of the foam core, wherein the entire peripheral edge of the deck extends to the peripherical surface of the foam core and is flush with the bottom surface of the foam core; a bottom board, fully bonded to all bottom surfaces of the foam core, wherein the entire peripheral edge of the bottom board extends outward beyond the bottom surface of the foam core and bends upward, so that the portion of the bottom board near the peripheral edge is integrally attached to the deck.
9. The sports board as recited in claim 8, wherein the bottom board comprises a bottom foam skin and a non-foamed plastic plate, the bottom foam skin positioned between the non-foamed plastic plate and the foam core, wherein the bottom board is only bonded to the bottom surface of the foam core and is not bonded to the peripherical surface of the foam core.
10. The sports board as recited in claim 9, wherein the peripheral edge of the bottom board does not exceed half of the vertical width of the peripherical surface of the foam core.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0019]
[0020] As shown in
[0021] The inner surface 20 of the deck 2 is integrally bonded to the entire top surface 11 of the foam core 1, and preferably further bonded to the entire peripheral surface 13 of the foam core board 1. As shown in
[0022] As shown in
[0023] Preferably, the deck 2 further includes a non-foamed plastic film 24. The non-foamed plastic film 24 can be made of polyethylene, with a thickness of approximately 0.1-0.2 mm and may feature a printed pattern. The non-foamed plastic film 24 is integrally bonded directly to the entire top surface of the second top foam skin 22 by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer or other layer between them.
[0024] In one embodiment, the non-foamed plastic layer 23 is positioned between the first top foam skin 21 and the second top foam skin 22, and they are bonded together by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer between them.
[0025] In one embodiment, the entire deck 2 is bonded to the foam core 1 by heat pressing, without any adhesive layer between them.
[0026] In one embodiment, the thickness of the first top foam skin 21 may be thinner than that of the second top foam skin 22.
[0027] In one embodiment, the first top foam skin 21 is softer and more easily compressed than the second top foam skin 22.
[0028] Since the non-foamed plastic layer 23 of the present invention can cover only the entire top surface 11 of the foam core 1 or both the entire top surface 11 and the entire peripheral surface 13 of the foam core 1, as illustrated in
[0029] As shown in
[0030] The non-foamed plastic plate 31, made of polyethylene with a thickness of approximately 0.3 to 1 mm, may feature printed patterns. It has a harder and more wear-resistant texture compared to the bottom foam skin 32, making it suitable for sliding on various surfaces such as water, snow, grass, or sand. Additionally, the thickness of the non-foamed plastic plate 31 is greater than that of the non-foamed plastic film 24 but less than that of the second top foam skin 22, and similar to the non-foamed plastic layer 23.
[0031] The bottom foam skin 32 is positioned between the non-foamed plastic plate 31 and the foam core 1, made of plastic foam materials such as expanded polyethylene (EPE), expanded polypropylene (EPP), and the like.
[0032] Moreover, before the bottom board 3 is bonded to the foam core 1, the thickness of the bottom foam skin 32 is approximately equivalent to that of the second top foam skin 22. However, after the bottom board 3 is bonded to the foam core 1, due to the pressure applied during bonding, the bottom foam skin 32 is compressed to be very thin, approximately only 0.3 to 0.5 mm (or even thinner). This results in the thickness of the bottom foam skin 32 being not only less than that of the second top foam skin 22 but also less than the thickness of the non-foamed plastic plate 31 and the non-foamed plastic layer 23.
