    20. A method for producing a motor vehicle, the method comprising the steps of: providing a vehicle body, on which a windshield base is defined in a region below a windshield; fastening a carrier frame to the body, wherein the carrier frame extends along the windshield base, and wherein at least one imaging unit is arranged in the carrier frame; and fastening an instrument panel to the body.

    21. The method according to claim 20, wherein the instrument panel is fastened to the body after the carrier frame, which includes one or more preassembled imaging units, has been fastened to the body.

    22. The method according to claim 20, wherein at least one holding device comprising a first holding element and a second holding element is used, wherein, in order to fasten the carrier frame to the body, the method further comprises, in order, the steps of: adjusting the second holding element relative to the rest of the body; fastening, via welding, the second holding element to the first holding element; and fastening the carrier frame to the second holding element.

    Description

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0029] FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a motor vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention;

    [0030] FIG. 2 is a schematic exploded view of a detail of the motor vehicle according to the exemplary embodiment; and

    [0031] FIG. 3 is a schematic method sequence for producing the motor vehicle.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0032] The structure of the motor vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment is described purely schematically below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. The schematic illustration in the figures is limited to the components that are essential in the context of the present invention.

    [0033] According to the schematic illustration in FIG. 1, the motor vehicle 1 is in the form of a car. The motor vehicle 1 comprises a body 2 and a windshield 3. A windshield base 4 is defined in the lower region of the windshield 3 or at the transition of the windshield 3 to the body 2.

    [0034] An instrument panel 5 and a carrier frame 6 are located in the region of the windshield base 4.

    [0035] The instrument panel 5 extends over a substantial region of the vehicle interior. Corresponding display and operator control elements can be arranged in the instrument panel 5.

    [0036] FIG. 2 shows a schematic exploded view of the vehicle 1 in the region of the windshield base 4. The end wall of the body 2, the carrier frame 6 and multiple imaging units 7 are shown. As illustrated in the illustration in FIG. 2, multiple (in the shown exemplary embodiment three) imaging units 7 are arranged in the carrier frame 6. The imaging units 7 are displays which can project a corresponding image onto the inner side of the windshield 3. For the sake of clarity, the instrument panel 5 is hidden in FIG. 2.

    [0037] Provision is in particular made for the imaging units 7 to not be integrated into the instrument panel 5 and to not be fastened to the instrument panel 5. Rather, the carrier frame 6 is fastened directly to the body 2. For this purpose, multiple holding devices 8 are used.

    [0038] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the individual holding device 8 comprises a first holding element 9 and a second holding element 10. The first holding element 9 is fixedly connected to or formed integrally with the rest of the body 2. The second holding element 10 is fastened, in particular welded, to the first holding element 9. The carrier frame 6 is in turn fastened to the second holding elements 10 and possibly to further positions of the body 2.

    [0039] FIG. 3 purely schematically illustrates the sequence of the method for producing the described motor vehicle 1.

    [0040] In method step 100, the body 2 is first provided, on which the windshield base 4 is defined in the region below the windshield 3.

    [0041] In the method step 200, the carrier frame 6, including the preassembled imaging units 7, is fastened to the body 2. For this purpose, in method step 201, the second holding elements 10 are first adjusted relative to the rest of the body 2 and, in method step 202, fastened to the first holding elements 9. Then, in method step 203, the carrier frame 6, including the preassembled imaging units 7, is fastened to the second holding elements 10 and thus the carrier frame 6, including the preassembled imaging units, is fastened to the body 2.

    [0042] It is only then that the instrument panel 5 is fastened to the body 2 in method step 300.
