Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Allium plant named G22087 is disclosed, characterized by large dark pink flowers held on stiff, thick flowering stems. Plants are stiffly upright with wider than average foliage for garden chives. Flowering occurs constantly through Summer. The new variety is an Allium, normally used for outdoor ornamental purposes.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS

(1) The accompanying photograph in FIG. 1 illustrates a typical flowering plant of G22087 grown outdoors in Columbus, OH at approximately 8-months old in a 1-gallon pot.

(2) FIG. 2 illustrates a close-up view of the flowers.

(3) The photographs were taken using conventional techniques and although colors may appear different from actual colors due to light reflectance it is as accurate as possible by conventional photographic techniques.

DETAILED BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION

(4) In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart 2007 except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used. The following observations and measurements describe G22087 plants grown outdoors in Camarillo, California. The growing temperature ranged from approximately 10 C. to 25 C. during the day and from approximately 6 C. to 12 C. during the night. General light conditions are normal sunlight and numerical values represent averages of typical plant types. Measurements were taken during June of 2024. Botanical classification: Allium schoenoprasum G22087.

(5) Root description: Moderately, fleshy root system colored near Orange-White 159C and Yellow-White 158D. No rhizomes.
