Portable Beverage-Holding Chair Device

Abstract

A portable beverage-holding chair device is provided. The device is comprised of a frame capable of folding through at least one pivot pin. The frame supports a chair body made of waterproof, UV-resistant fabric designed to accommodate the user's lower and upper body. The chair includes arms with integrated circular cup pockets for large-size beverages and rectangular device pockets for storing smart devices. Additional pockets made of mesh or waterproof materials and secured by various fasteners are included for storage. A shade canopy, attachable to the frame with fasteners, provides sun protection, while a bag with closing fasteners and straps enables storage and transport of the chair, with optional wheels for rolling.

Claims

1. A portable beverage-holding chair device comprising: a foldable frame comprised of a pivot pin; a chair body attached to the frame; an arm attached to the frame, the arm comprised of a circular pocket for holding a beverage and a second pocket for holding a smart device.

2. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 1, wherein the foldable frame is comprised of a metal material.

3. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 1, wherein the circular pocket is configured to hold a beverage greater than 32 ounces.

4. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 1, wherein the second pocket is comprised of a rectangular pocket.

5. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 1, wherein the circular pocket and the second pocket are comprised of a mesh material.

6. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 1, wherein the circular pocket and the second pocket are comprised of a fabric material.

7. A portable beverage-holding chair device comprising: a foldable frame comprised of a pivot pin and a foot; a chair body attached to the frame, the body made from a UV-resistant fabric; a canopy comprised of a canopy frame, wherein the canopy frame is attached to the foldable frame; and an arm attached to the frame, the arm comprised of a circular pocket for holding a beverage and a second pocket for holding a smart device.

8. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 7 further comprised of a third pocket.

9. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 7, wherein the third pocket is comprised of an insulated material.

10. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 7, wherein the third pocket is comprised of a fastener.

11. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 7, wherein the canopy and the chair body are made from a same material.

12. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 7, wherein the foot is comprised of a repositionable foot.

13. A portable beverage-holding chair device comprising: a foldable frame comprised of a pivot pin and a foot; a chair body attached to the frame, the body made from a UV-resistant fabric; a canopy comprised of a canopy frame, wherein the canopy frame is attached to the foldable frame; an arm attached to the frame, the arm comprised of a circular pocket for holding a beverage and a second pocket for holding a smart device; a bag comprised of a wheel.

14. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 13, wherein the bag is comprised of a strap.

15. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 14, wherein the strap is comprised of an adjustable strap.

16. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 13, wherein the bag is comprised of a closing fastener.

17. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 16, wherein the closing fastener is comprised of a zipper, a waterproof zipper, a hook and loop fastener, or a drawstring fastener.

18. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 13 further comprised of an additional pocket.

19. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 18, wherein the additional pocket is comprised of a waterproof zipper.

20. The portable beverage-holding chair device of claim 18, wherein the additional pocket is comprised of a mesh.

More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a portable beverage-holding chair device that can accommodate large beverages. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a portable beverage-holding chair device that can store smart devices and other accessories.

[0021] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a portable beverage-holding chair device. The device is comprised of a folding chair frame, which may include at least one pivot pin or similar mechanism allowing the frame to fold. The frame supports at least one chair body that accommodates both the user's lower and upper body, enabling the user to sit on the device. The chair body also includes at least one armrest attached to the frame, allowing the user to rest their arm while seated. The armrest features at least one circular cup holder, adaptable to various diameters, accommodating beverages such as those 32 ounces or larger. Additionally, the armrest may contain at least one device pocket, preferably rectangular in shape, designed to hold smart devices such as cell phones, tablets, and similar items. The device may further include additional pockets positioned anywhere on the chair, which may be made from mesh, fabric, waterproof material, or similar materials. These pockets can be secured with at least one fastener. In one embodiment, the pocket is made of insulated material, either flexible or rigid, allowing it to function as a cooler pocket.

[0022] In another embodiment, the device includes at least one shade canopy. The canopy comprises at least one frame member, which may be removably attached to the chair frame using corresponding fasteners on both the canopy frame member and the chair frame.

[0025] Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a front perspective view of one potential embodiment of a portable beverage-holding chair device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is comprised of a frame 110. The frame 110 may be made out of a metal or plastic material and may be comprised of any style, type, and configuration of folding chair frame 110 known in the art, wherein the frame 110 may be comprised of at least one pivot pin 111 or similar structure that allows the frame 110 to fold. The frame 110 may be comprised of at least one repositionable foot 114. The frame 110 is comprised of at least one chair body 120. The body 120 is comprised of a fabric material that is preferably waterproof and UV-resistant. The body 120 receives the user's lower body and upper body and allows the user to sit on the device 100.

The arm 130 is comprised of at least one circular cup pocket 132. The pocket 132 may be any diameter to accommodate any size of beverage, such as, but not limited to, a beverage 32 ounces or larger. The arm 130 may also be comprised of at least one device pocket 134. The pocket 134 is preferably rectangular and can be sized to accommodate a smart device such as, but not limited to, a cell phone, a tablet, etc. The pockets 132, 134 may be made from a mesh material, a fabric material, an insulated material, etc.

The pocket 136 may be located anywhere on the device 100. The pocket 136 may be comprised of a mesh material, a fabric material, a waterproof material, etc. The additional pocket 136 may further be kept close via at least one fastener 138 such as, but not limited to, a flap, a hook and loop fastener, a snap button fastener, a buckle fastener, a zipper fastener, a waterproof zipper fastener, etc. It should be appreciated that the device pocket 134 may also have the same features as the additional pocket 136. In one embodiment, the pocket 136 is comprised of an insulated material that may be flexible or rigid, allowing the pocket 136 to act as a cooler pocket.

[0028] In one embodiment, the device 100 is comprised of at least one shade canopy 140, as seen in FIG. 3. The canopy 140 is preferably made from the same material as the body 120. The canopy 140 may be any shape but is preferably generally rectangular. The canopy 140 is comprised of at least one canopy frame member 142. The frame member 142 is preferably a folding member in the same configuration and material as the frame 110. The canopy frame member 142 may removably attach to the frame 110 via at least one fastener 144 of the canopy frame member 142 which engages at least one fastener 112 of the frame 110. The bag 150 may be made as the same material as the body 110. The bag 150 is comprised of at least one closing fastener 152 that allows the bag 150 to be secured around the chair body 120, frame 110, and/or canopy 140 and canopy frame member 142. The fastener 152 may include, but is not limited to, a zipper, a waterproof zipper, a hook and loop fastener, a drawstring fastener, etc. The bag 150 may also be comprised of at least one strap 154. The strap 154 may be any style of strap such as, but not limited to, a shoulder strap, a hand strap, etc. The strap 154 may be a fixed length strap or an adjustable length strap, wherein the length of the strap 154 can be adjusted via at least one adjustment fastener 155 such as, but not limited to, a sliding buckle fastener. In one embodiment, the bag 150 is comprised of at least one wheel 156 to allow the bag 150 to be rolled.
