The Simple Jumpsuit: Jumpsuit with detachable top & bottom

Abstract

The utility model relates to the technical field of garments and apparel. It introduces a functional jumpsuit that aims to solve the problems of when someone needs to go to the bathroom. Normally jumpsuits are inconvenient to remove and need to be taken off from the upper body. Unlike other jumpsuits, my invention has a top and a bottom garment that easily separates by using an invisible zipper in the front of the garment; and a design where the back of the garment is not connected. A fabric belt is attached to both sides of the bottom, or the top that you wrap around to give the illusion of a full jumpsuit. The utility design features an elastic waistband for greater ease in disrobing/getting dressed. This jumpsuit is fashion forward and comes in different styles where the user can mix and match connected tops and bottoms.

Claims

1. An easy jumpsuit to where anywhere and remove easily: a. Remove the jumpsuit without completely disrobing to use the bathroom or any other activity where you would have to completely disrobe in the past (FIGS. 2, 3A, & 3B). b. The top and bottom separate easily via an open-ended invisible zipper at front of the garment so you can remove one piece of the garment without removing the other (FIG. 2). c. The back of the garment is not connected to each other (FIGS. 3A & 3B). d. Elastic waistband in the back which aids in removing and putting on the bottom part of the garment (FIGS. 3A & 3B). e. The illusion belt is only physically attached to one piece of the garment (either the top or the bottom based on the style user purchases), so it is easy to remove top or bottom separately (FIGS. 3A & 3B; 6A & 6B). f. Ease of removal since the zipper is in the front of the garment (FIG. 2). g. Ease of putting back on since the zipper attaches at front side (FIG. 2).

2. Illusion of a fully connected jumpsuit: Back of top of the garment is not connected to the back of the bottom of the garment, so it gives the illusion of a jumpsuit with the fabric belt attached and tied (FIGS. 4 & 6).

3. Versatility: The user can both pair with other styles from the Thrse Inc line, connecting with the hidden zipper, or wear either piece with their own wardrobe since zipper is hidden on both pieces of garment, and user can conceal what they wish with attached fabric belt (FIGS. 2, 3A, & 3B, 4, 5A, 5B, 6).

[0009] When zipped, the garment looks like a normal jumpsuit. You cannot tell that it separates as it is joined together by an invisible zipper at the front of the garment.

[0011] The bottom of the top piece of the garment has an invisible open-ended zipper stitched into the interior of the front of the top and the front of the bottom piece of the garment has an open invisible zipper stitched into the flat waistband. When unzipped, the garment becomes 2 separate pieces and is easily removable by the user without completely disrobing.

[0021] This embodiment illustrates that when the belt is tied (whether it be the style with the belt attached to the top, or the style with the belt is attached to the bottom), the coverage is seamless and appears to be a full jumpsuit. For illustration purposes, the belt is tied to the side, but the tie finishing can be done anywhere (i.e. front, back, other side, off center, etc)

[0025] This illustrates the versatility of connecting top and bottom of different designs together. We use this figure to demonstrate the extreme of a backless type of execution. Though the back is obviously not connected in this execution, it still has the look and feel of a one-piece jumpsuit as it connects through the front zip (as demonstrated in FIG. 1) and the placement of fabric belt tied in the back provides seamless coverage.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

[0026] The Easy Jumpsuit: Jumpsuit with removable/detachable top and bottom provides a method for the user to easily disrobe either the top or the bottom without taking off the whole piece, or completely disrobing.

[0027] The user simply unzips the open invisible zipper and pulls the bottom down to use the bathroom, or whenever they would like to just remove the bottom portion, and simply pulls bottom back up, and zips back up to turn back into a one piece.

[0028] Although this was mainly invented to solve the problem of having to go to the bathroom, which is a major pain point with most jumpsuit users, it also has other use cases such as trying on other clothing in a fitting room or changing top or bottom singularly vs disrobing completely.

[0029] With the open-ended invisible zipper connector in the front of the garment, joining the two pieces of the garment together, the elastic waistband, and the fabric belt connected to the top or the bottom of the garment (based on style purchased), not only can the user easily remove each piece with one easy movement, but they can also wear each piece separately with another item while keeping the zipper concealed. Key Aspects of Invention

The zipper is in the same color as the garment and once the garment is zipped, it is completely seamless and it looks like one piece vs two pieces.
