    Abstract

    The present invention relates to a ponytail extension device and a method of fastening thereof. The ponytail extension device comprises a main part (10) and a sister part (20), wrapping around a user's actual hair. The main part (10) comprises a hair attachment mechanism (2) adapted enable attachment of the main part (10) to the actual hair of the user. The sister part (20) comprises securing elements (9) adapted to secure at least a section of a left edge (20L) and section of an opposing right edge (20R) of the sister part (20). The main part (10) and the sister part (20) are fastened with an overlap, wherein the fastening can be either permanent or detachable. The sister part (20) is positioned under the main part (10), such that the overlapped region of the sister part (20) is located between the main part (10) and the user's actual hair.

    Claims

    1. A ponytail extension device, comprising: a main part (10), a sister part (20), wherein the main part (10) and sister part (20) are adapted to encircle a part of the actual hair of a user, wherein the main part (10) comprises a hair attachment mechanism (2) on the top side, adapted to enable attachment of the main part (10) to the actual hair of the user; wherein the sister part (20) comprises one or more securing elements (9) adapted to secure at least a section of a left edge (20L) and section of an opposing right edge (20R) of the sister part (20); and wherein the main part (10) and sister part (20) are fastened such that there is an overlap thereof; wherein the sister part (20) is arranged under the main part (10) so as to arrange the overlapped region of the sister part (20) between the main part (10) and the actual hair of the user; and wherein the fastening of the main part (10) and the sister part (20) can be either permanent or detachable.

    2. The ponytail extension device according to claim 1, wherein the main part (10) comprises a first hair fastening element (1) on the top side, adapted to secure at least a section of a left edge (10L) and an opposing right edge (10R) of the main part (10).

The ponytail extension device according to claim 2, wherein the hair attachment mechanism (2) and the first hair fastening element (1) are configured such that they can either be integrated into one and the same mechanism or function as separate components utilizing the same technical principle.

    4. The ponytail extension device according to claim 1, wherein the sister part (20) is longer than the main part (10) as seen from an axis or profile extending along the ponytail of the user.

    5. The ponytail extension device according to claim 4, wherein the main part (10) and sister part (20) are fastened such that a relative movement thereof is enabled.

    6. The ponytail extension device according to claim 1, wherein the main part (10) and sister part (20) are fastened such that the main part (10) and sister part (20) are enabled to be encircled around the actual hair of the user independent of each other.

    7. The ponytail extension device according to claim 1, wherein the sister part (20) is configured to allow the attachment of multiple sister parts (20) in a stacked or layered arrangement; and wherein the fastening of the multiple sister parts (20) is either permanent or detachable.

    8. The ponytail extension device according to claim 1, wherein the sister part (20) comprises securing elements (9) arranged on either the surface or inside the fabric or lace.

A method for fastening a ponytail extension device; wherein the ponytail extension device comprises a main part (10) and a sister part (20), wherein respective parts are adapted to encircle a part of the actual hair of a user, wherein; the main part (10) comprises a hair attachment mechanism (2) adapted to enable attachment of the main part (10) to the actual hair of the user; the sister part (20) comprises securing elements (9) adapted to secure at least a section of a left edge and section of an opposing right edge of the sister part (20); and, wherein the main part (10) and sister part (20) are fastened such that there is an overlap thereof; wherein the sister part (20) is arranged under the main part (10) as to arrange the overlapped region of the sister part (20) between the main part (10) and the actual hair of the user; wherein the method comprise the step of A. forming a ponytail or braid of a user's actual hair; B. performing, in any order: encircling a section of the far end of the ponytail with the sister part (20) such that the main part (10) is closer to the scalp; and fastening the sister part (20) using the securing elements (9); fastening the main part (10) to the hair of the user using the hair attachment mechanism (2) such that the sister part (20) is closer to the far end of the actual hair.
