[0018] The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.

[0019] As noted above, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a permanent jewelry clasp device that provides a permanent bond without requiring high-risk welding methods. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a permanent jewelry clasp device that allows for consumer-level customization and assembly without requiring professional services. Moreover, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a permanent jewelry clasp device that is both aesthetically customizable and made from durable, hypoallergenic materials suitable for continuous wear.

[0020] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a permanent jewelry clasp device designed for secure fastening of jewelry, such as bracelets, necklaces, and anklets. The device comprises two interlocking halves forming a clasp body, which can feature various customizable shapes and external surface finishes.

[0021] The first half of the clasp body includes a compressible fastener, preferably V-shaped, which contracts inward during insertion into the interior space of the second half and expands outward to secure engagement. The second half contains an internal fastener, such as a tubular post, that interacts with the compressible fastener to create a permanent mechanical lock. Alternative fastener designs, including U-shaped, crescent-shaped, or X-shaped configurations, provide multi-point locking mechanisms. The internal fastener may also have varying shapes, such as concave receptacles or crossbar structures, to complement different fastener designs.

[0022] The opening of the second half may feature a tapered or funnel-shaped design to guide the fastener for proper alignment during insertion. Each half also incorporates a loop fastener for attaching the jewelry chain, with an optional swiveling loop to prevent twisting and tangling, improving comfort and durability.

[0023] A method of use involves providing the clasp device, aligning the compressible fastener with the opening, inserting the fastener to engage the lock, and attaching the jewelry chain to complete the assembly.

[0024] This permanent jewelry clasp device offers a reliable fastening mechanism through its interlocking clasp design, forming a permanent mechanical lock without requiring heat or welding. By enabling users to apply the clasp at home, the device presents a safer and more convenient alternative to conventional permanent jewelry methods.

[0025] Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a permanent jewelry clasp device 100 of the present invention with the first half 110 and second half 120 is attached in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The permanent jewelry clasp device 100 is designed to achieve permanent fastening for jewelry, such as but not limited to bracelets, necklaces, and anklets. The device 100 is comprised of two interlocking halves 110, 120 that form a generally cylindrical clasp body 102. However, the shape of the body 102 may differ and can take various forms, such as oval, square, or other geometric shapes. Additionally, the shape of the body 102 can be designed to resemble any object, logo, letter, number, or symbol, allowing for aesthetic customization to suit different preferences and styles. The exterior surface 103 of the clasp body 102 can be further personalized through the application of various additives 105, such as finish options that include but are not limited to polished, matte, or engraved surfaces. The clasp body 102 can be manufactured from a wide range of materials to balance durability, appearance, and hypoallergenic properties. These materials may include, but are not limited to, gold, rose gold, platinum, silver, sterling silver, stainless steel, titanium, brass, bronze, and coated aluminum.

[0026] The first half 110 of the clasp device 100 is comprised of a fastener 112 that is preferably V-shaped, as seen in FIG. 2. The V-shaped fastener 112 is compressible, meaning it contracts inward toward itself during insertion into an interior space 121 of the second half 120 via an opening 122. The compressible nature of the fastener 112 allows it to easily pass through the opening 122. After insertion into the interior space 121, the fastener 112 expands back to its original shape within the interior space 121, ensuring secure engagement.

[0027] More specifically, once expanded within the interior space 121, the fastener 112 engages an internal fastener 124 located within the interior space 121, as seen in FIG. 1. The internal fastener 124 is preferably, but not limited to, a tubular fastener or post. The post-like internal fastener 124 is positioned to engage the interior angle 113 of the V-shaped fastener 112, effectively preventing the fastener 112 from backing out of the interior space 121 through the opening 122. The engagement between the V-shaped fastener 112 and the internal fastener 124 creates a permanent mechanical lock, ensuring a permanent and secure connection between the halves 110, 120.

[0028] In one variation, the V-shaped fastener 112 may be replaced with a U-shaped or crescent-shaped fastener, which also expands outward upon insertion into the second half 120. Additionally, the fastener 112 may be configured as an X-shaped compressible fastener, with two intersecting arms that compress inward and spring outward into multiple contact points within the second half 120, creating a multi-point locking mechanism for enhanced security.

[0029] Similarly, the internal fastener 124 may vary in shape to complement the design of the compressible fastener 112. Instead of a tubular post, the internal fastener 124 may take the form of a concave receptacle to accommodate a rounded or crescent-shaped fastener 112, or it may be configured as a crossbar structure for engaging the arms of an X-shaped fastener 112. These variations allow for different levels of engagement force.

[0030] To further facilitate proper insertion and alignment, the opening 122 of the second half 120 may feature a tapered or funnel-shaped opening 122. This gradual narrowing helps guide the fastener 112 into the correct position during insertion, reducing the risk of misalignment or jamming.

[0031] Each half 110, 120 is further comprised of a fastener 130 for connecting the halves 110, 120 to a jewelry chain. The fastener 130 is preferably a loop, allowing for a secure attachment point for the jewelry chain. In one embodiment, the fastener 130 is a swiveling loop to prevent the jewelry chain from twisting or tangling during movement. The swiveling functionality improves both comfort and durability, as it reduces strain on the chain and prevents it from becoming kinked or damaged. The smooth, rounded edges of the loop fastener 130 also help minimize friction against the chain, further enhancing the overall wear experience and protecting the jewelry from unnecessary wear and tear.

[0032] The present invention is also comprised of a method of using 200 the permanent jewelry clasp device 100, as seen in FIG. 3. First, a device 100 is provided, comprised of a clasp body 102, a first half 110 with a compressible fastener 112, and a second half 120 with an internal space 121 and an opening 122 [Step 202]. Then, the jewelry chain is attached to the fastener 130 on each half 110, 120 [Step 204]. However, in a different embodiment the chain may be fixedly attached to each half 110,120. Then, the compressible fastener 112 of the first half 110 is aligned with the opening 122 of the second half 120 [Step 206]. Next, the compressible fastener 112 is inserted into the opening 122 of the second half 120 by applying inward pressure to compress the fastener 112 as it passes through the opening 122 [Step 208]. Once the fastener 112 enters the interior space 121, the pressure is released, allowing the fastener 112 to expand to its original shape and engage the internal fastener 124, forming a secure mechanical lock within the interior space 121 [Step 210].
