[0027] The present invention (split-able funnel) provides a significant improvement over traditional funnel designs, addressing the longstanding issue of cleaning difficulty while providing a versatile and user-friendly solution for a wide range of applications. The present invention's innovative design, combining functionality with ease of maintenance, makes it an essential tool in any setting where liquids are transferred.
[0028] The present invention, split-able funnel 100, as shown in
[0029] In one embodiment, the split-able funnel device 100 may comprise: [0030] a body 10 having a conical shape tapering from a wide opening at the top 10a to a narrow stem at the bottom 10b, wherein the body 10 is split longitudinally into two halves to allow for full opening for cleaning and separation for storage; and a splitting mechanism 20, 30 selected from the group consisting of a snap-fit design 20 and a hinged design 30.
[0031] In accordance with this embodiment, the splitting mechanism 20,30 can be implemented in two forms: a snap-fit design 20 or a hinged design 30.
[0032] In the snap-fit design 20, the two halves of the funnel body can be equipped with clips 20a or interlocking grooves 20b along their edges, allowing them to be securely fastened together during use and easily separated for cleaning.
[0033] In the hinged design 30, one edge of each half can be connected by a hinge, enabling the funnel to be opened like a book for cleaning while ensuring the parts remain attached and cannot be lost. The hinge can be any hinge known in the art, including but not limited to piano hinges, butt hinges, continuous hinges, and spring-loaded hinges.
[0034] In some embodiments, the funnel 100 can be constructed from a moldable material, such as plastic, silicone, or any suitable polymer that is durable, flexible, and resistant to chemicals and heat. This choice of material facilitates the manufacturing of the funnel in various sizes and colors, as well as ensuring the product is lightweight, easy to handle, and capable of withstanding the rigors of frequent use and cleaning.
[0035] In some embodiments, the body 100 may include materials designed to withstand temperatures ranging from 20 C. to 100 C.
[0036] In an alternative embodiment, the split-able funnel device 100 may comprise: a body 10 having measurement markings along the interior or exterior surfaces for precise liquid transfer; and a filter mechanism located at the base 10b of the body 10 for separating solids from liquids during a pouring process.
[0037] In another alternative embodiment, the split-able funnel device 100 may comprise: a body 10 designed to minimize drips and spills during pouring, featuring a spout 40 that facilitates controlled pouring; a lightweight construction for ease of handling; and a stackable design for efficient storage. The spout 40 can be any spout known in the art, including but not limited to tapered spouts, wide-mouth spouts, and precision pouring spouts.
[0038] The stackable design for efficient storage may allow multiple funnels 100 to be securely nested within one another. This design can include features such as a tapered shape or interlocking edges that prevent the funnels from shifting or falling over when stacked. Additionally, the stackable design may incorporate a locking mechanism or alignment guides to ensure stability during storage, making it easy to organize and access multiple funnels without taking up excessive space in cabinets or toolboxes.
[0039] In the preferred embodiment, as shown in
[0040] The design of the funnel 100, with its varying sizes, accommodates a wide range of liquid transfer needs, from automotive oils to kitchen ingredients. The controlled pouring facilitated by the conical shape and narrow stem reduces spillage and waste, making the process more efficient and clean.
[0041] While the preferred embodiments have been described, variations to the design and structure of the split-able funnel 100 are possible.
[0042] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
