[0069] Referring to FIGS. 4 to 15 of the drawings, a foldable storage box according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The foldable storage box comprises a box body 2 which comprises a bottom support portion 21, a plurality of first side enclosure portions 22, and a plurality of second side enclosure portions 23, the first side enclosure portions 22, and the second side enclosure portions 23 are foldably connected to the bottom support portion 21 to move between a folded state in which the first side enclosure portions 22 and the second side enclosure portions 23 are folded to be stacked on the bottom support portion 21 and an unfolded state in which the first side enclosure portions 22 and the second side enclosure portions 23 are unfolded to define a storage cavity 24 with an access opening 25 for placing and storing items in the storage cavity 24.

[0070] In the unfolded state, the box body 2 provides an organized storage cavity 24 for storing items such as clothing, toys, tools, or office supplies. In the folded state, the box body 2 serves as a compact unit for transport or storage when not in use. Particularly, the first side enclosure portions 22 and the second side enclosure portions 23 are collapsed and overlapped on the bottom support portion 21 to reduce the overall height and volume of the foldable storage box, so that this compact design is ideal for transportation as the collapsed box takes up minimal space in shipping or travel scenarios as well is ideal for storage in confined spaces, such as closets, car trunks, or under furniture.

[0071] In this embodiment, the box body 2 comprises two first side enclosure portions 22 and two second side enclosure portions 23, the two first side enclosure portions 22 are opposite to each other, the two second side enclosure portions 23 are opposite to each other. Each of the two first side enclosure portions 22 is arranged between the two second side enclosure portions 23, and each of the two second side enclosure portions 23 is arranged between the two first side enclosure portions 22. Accordingly, the four side enclosure portions 22 and 23 form an enclosing wall portion connected to the bottom support portion 21 to define the storage cavity 24.

[0072] According to this embodiment, a length of each first side enclosure portion 22 can be larger than a length of each of the two second side enclosure portions 23, so that the enclosing wall portion is formed in a rectangular shape. Alternatively, the length of each first side enclosure portion 22 can be larger than the length of each of the two second side enclosure portions 23, so that the enclosing wall portion is formed in a square shape.

[0073] Each of the first side enclosure portions 22 comprises a first side support plate 221 and a first enclosure cloth 222, both of the first side support plate 221 and the first enclosure cloth 222 are connected to the bottom support portion 21. More specifically, the first side support plate 221 is pivotally connected to the bottom support portion 21, so as to allow the first side support plate 221 to be moved between the folded state and the unfolded state.

[0074] The first side support plate 221 comprises a first rigid panel 2211 and an enclosing cloth 2212 which is connected to the bottom support portion 21, the first rigid panel 2211 is disposed in the enclosing cloth 2212 to enable the first side plate 221 to be rigid and keep an upright posture in the unfolded state. Accordingly, the first rigid panel 2211 ensures the structural stability of the first side support plate 221, the enclosing cloth 2212 provides a smooth and customizable exterior, enhancing visual appeal while offering functional adaptability.

[0075] In this embodiment, the first enclosure cloth 222 is provided adjacent to the first side plate 221 and a bottom of the first enclosure cloth 222 is connected to the bottom support portion 21, but is not fixed with the first side plate 221. The first enclosure cloth 222 can be detachably connected to the first side plate 221 when the box body 2 is in the unfolded state.

[0076] The inclusion of the first rigid panel 2211 in the first side support plate 221 ensures the side walls are structurally sound and remain upright when unfolded. The separation of the first enclosure cloth 222 from the first side support plate 221 enhances flexibility, allowing the cloth to adjust or fold independently when needed.

[0077] Particularly, the first enclosure cloth 222 can be detached from the first side support plate 221, offering multiple operational benefits. The first enclosure cloth 222 is able to be cleaned since they are not covered by the first side plate 221 when they are detached from each other. The rigid side support plate 221 can collapse onto the bottom support portion 21 without interference from the first enclosure cloth 222.

[0078] Accordingly, in the unfolded state, the detachable connection between the first side support plate 221 and the first enclosure cloth 222 provides operational flexibility: the first enclosure cloth 222 can be connected to the first side support plate 221 for added support and a defined storage cavity 24. Alternatively, the first enclosure cloth 222 can remain unattached for specific applications where rigid enclosure of the first side enclosure portions 22 are unnecessary.

[0079] Each of the second side enclosure portions 23 comprises a second rigid panel 231 and a second enclosure cloth 232 which is connected to the bottom support portion 21. The second rigid panel 231 is a rigid second side support plate disposed in the second enclosure cloth 232 and is foldable along with the second enclosure cloth 232, so as to allow each of the second side enclosure portions 23 to be moved between the folded state and the unfolded state. Each second enclosure cloth 232 comprises two second body layers 2321 which are connected to each other to define a pocket for receiving the second rigid panel 231.

[0080] Each of the second rigid panels 231 provides rigidity and support to the second side walls when the box body 2 is in the unfolded state, ensuring the storage cavity 24 maintains its shape and remains functional for securely holding items. This design also allows each second rigid panel 231 and the corresponding second enclosure cloth 232 to be folded together as a single unit.

[0081] In addition, the second enclosure cloth 232 conceals the corresponding second rigid panel 231, ensuring a consistent and polished appearance for the box interior and exterior, enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the box body 2.

[0082] In this embodiment, each of the first enclosure cloths 222, the enclosing cloths 2212, and the second enclosure cloths 232 can be made of a suitable flexible material such as fabric, polyester, nylon, canvas, oxford cloth, spandex, polyvinyl chloride. Each of the first rigid panels 2211 and the second rigid panels 231 can be made of a suitable rigid material such as metal, wood, paper board and plastic. The plastic rigid panel can be but not limited to polypropylene board, high-density polyethylene board, acrylic board, fiberglass reinforced plastic board, and carbon fiber reinforced polymer.

[0083] Accordingly, in the folded state, the two first side support plates 221 are respectively detached from the corresponding two first enclosure cloths 222 and are folded to stack on the bottom support portion 21, and then the two first enclosure cloths 222 and the two second side enclosure portions 23 are folded towards the bottom support portion 21, so as to be folded on the bottom support portion 21 together with the two first side support plates 221, so that the box body 2 is moved to a compact storage state.

[0084] In this embodiment, the folding of the two first side support plates 221 are independent from the folding of the two first enclosure cloths 222, so that the box body 2 is provided with two unfolding modes in the unfolded state. In a first unfolding mode, as shown in FIG. 8A, the two first side support plates 221 are detachably connected to the two first enclosure cloths 222 and are both unfolded to keep the upright posture, the two second side enclosure portions 23 are also in the upright posture, so as to define the storage cavity 24. The first rigid panels 2211 and the second rigid panels 231 will enable the two first side enclosure portions 22 and the two second side enclosure portions 23 to form an rigid surrounding wall portion connected to the bottom support portion 21 for storing items in the storage cavity 24 which is not easy to deform its shape.

[0085] In this mode, the resulting unfolded box body 2 is rigid, with the first rigid panels 2211 and the second rigid panels 231 ensuring that the structure is sturdy, reducing the risk of deformation during use. This mode is ideal for storing items that require stable, rigid support, such as books, electronics, or other items with fixed shapes.

[0086] In a second unfolding mode, as shown in FIG. 8C, the two first side support plates 221 are detached from the two first enclosure cloths 222, so that the two first side support plates 221 can be folded to be stacked on the bottom support portion 21, the two first enclosure cloths 222 can be kept in the upright posture by the two second rigid panels 231 of the two second side enclosure portions 23, so as to define the storage cavity 24 with the two flexible first enclosure cloths 222 for storing items of irregular shapes.

[0087] This mode creates a more flexible structure, with the first enclosure cloths 222 being flexible and able to adapt to irregular shapes of stored items, such as clothing, blankets, or soft goods. The flexibility of the first side wall portions is beneficial when storing items of various shapes that require a soft, pliable structure to accommodate them.

[0088] In addition, the flexibility of the first side wall portions allow the unfolded box body 2 to provide a deformable storage cavity 24, items of rigid protrusions can be disposed into the storage cavity 24 adjacent to the first enclosure cloths 222. The flexibility of the first side wall portions enables the storage cavity 24 to conform to the shape of items, including those with rigid protrusions or other challenging features.

[0089] For example, in the second unfolding mode, items like tools with handles, electronics with bulky connections, or even oddly shaped boxes can be stored in the story cavity 24 without needing to fit perfectly into a rigid, predefined space. The first enclosure cloths 222 stretch and adjust around such protrusions, accommodating them comfortably without straining or distorting the structure of the box body 2.

[0090] Accordingly, even though the storage cavity 24 is deformable, the use of the second rigid panels 231 in the second side walls ensures that the walls themselves do not collapse or bend excessively. This ensures that the overall shape of the box body 2 remains intact while still offering flexibility in the storage cavity 24. As a result, items with protrusions can be stored securely without the risk of the box losing its structural integrity or collapsing under uneven internal pressure.

[0091] This adaptability allows the box body 2 to store a variety of items with protrusions, such as tools with handles or angled parts, electronics with ports or antennas, sports equipment like paddles, rackets, or other gear with rigid features that may not fit easily in a non-deformable box. Miscellaneous items like decorative objects, sculpture parts, or fragile objects with protrusions (e.g., vases with handles or odd shapes).

[0092] The deformable nature of the storage cavity 24 ensures that the box body 2 is able to maximize storage space. Rather than having to leave gaps or create rigid spaces that fit only standard-shaped items, the flexible walls enable the cavity to stretch and adapt to the contents as needed. This leads to more efficient use of the internal volume, as it eliminates wasted space and allows the user to store more items in the same storage unit.

[0093] The flexible first enclosure cloths 222 serve not only to accommodate rigid protrusions but also to provide a soft, cushion-like protection for the items inside. Items with sharp edges or protrusions can be stored more safely, reducing the risk of damage to both the stored items and the box. This is especially important for fragile objects with rigid parts that might otherwise be exposed to the risk of scraping, bending, or puncturing if stored in a rigid box.

[0094] The deformable storage cavity 24 ensures that the box is versatile for different types of storage. It can handle both regular items (like clothing or documents) and irregular items with protrusions. The user can choose whether to store items that need a rigid, structured environment or items that benefit from the deformable flexible nature of the box body 2.

[0095] With the ability to store items with rigid protrusions, the user can enjoy the convenience of not having to worry about finding perfectly sized storage containers for every item. The box body 2 adjusts to the shape of the item, making it easy to store objects without requiring them to conform to a specific shape. This makes the box body 2 suitable for quick, efficient storage in a variety of contexts, such as home organization, office use, or travel storage.

[0096] The bottom support portion 21 comprises a bottom support panel 211 and a bottom cloth 212, the bottom support panel 211 is disposed into two layers of the bottom cloth 212. The bottom cloth 212 can be made of a suitable flexible material such as fabric, polyester, nylon, canvas, oxford cloth, spandex, polyvinyl chloride. The bottom support panel 211 can be made of a suitable rigid material such as metal, wood, paper board and plastic. The plastic rigid panel can be but not limited to polypropylene board, high-density polyethylene board, acrylic board, fiberglass reinforced plastic board, and carbon fiber reinforced polymer.

[0097] The bottom cloth 212 is connected to the first enclosure cloths 222, the enclosing cloths 2212 and the second enclosure cloths 232. For example, the bottom cloth 212 is sewn to the first enclosure cloths 222, the enclosing cloths 2212 and the second enclosure cloths 232.

[0098] According to this embodiment, each first enclosure cloth 222 comprises a first body layer 2221 and an attaching layer 2222 integrally extended from an upper end of the first body layer 2221 and is connected to an inner side of the first body layer 2221. alternatively, an attaching layer 2222 can be mounted to the first body layer 2221. Each first side enclosure portion 22 comprises a detachable coupling means 223 which comprises a first coupling element 2231 provided on the first side support plate 221 and a second coupling element 2232 provided on the attaching layer 2222, the first coupling element 2231 is detachably coupled with the second coupling element 2232, so as to allow each first enclosure cloth 222 to detachably couple with the corresponding first side support plate 221.

[0099] The detachable coupling means 223 can be zipper means, magnetically coupling means, VELCRO Means, snap fasteners, screw fasteners, hook-and-eye fasteners, clip fasteners, or buckle fasteners. In this embodiment, the detachable coupling means 223 is embodied as VELCRO Means, the first coupling element 2231 an the second coupling element 2232 can be respectively a hook layer and a loop layer.

[0100] Particularly, the first coupling element 2231 is provided at an inner side of an upper end 2213 of the first side support plate 221 on the enclosing cloth 2212, the second coupling element 2232 is provided between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221, so as to be at an inner side of the first body layer 2221 and at an outer side of the attaching layer 2222. In other words, a gap 2223 is defined between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221 while the second coupling element 2232 is provided in the gap 2223 between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221, so that when the first coupling element 2231 on the first side support plate 221 is connected to the second coupling element 2232 between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221, the upper end 2213 of the first side support plate 221 is sandwiched and hidden between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221.

[0101] Concealing the upper end 2213 of the first side support plate 221 between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221 of the first enclosure cloth 222 ensures a clean and seamless appearance, with no visible attachment points and achieves protection of the detachable coupling means 223 from dirt, damage, or wear, thereby extending its lifespan. In addition to aesthetic purpose, the connecting manner also enhances the structural stability of the box body 2. This design ensures that the attaching layer 2222 retains the upper end 2213 of the first side support plate 221 in an upright position, preventing the first side support plate 221 from folding unintentionally towards the bottom support portion 21.

[0102] Accordingly, the first coupling element 2231 and the second coupling element 2232 are always hidden both in the folded state and the unfolded state. More specifically, the second coupling element 2232 is always concealed between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221. When in the folded state, the first side support plate 221 is folded on the bottom support portion 21, and the first coupling element 2231 is hidden between the enclosing cloth 2212 and the bottom supporting portion 21. When in the unfolded state, the upper end 2213 of the first side support plate 221 is embedded into the gap 2223 between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221, so that the first coupling element 2231 is also hidden between the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221 of the first enclosure cloth 222.

[0103] Particularly, in the second unfolding mode, the two first side support plates 221 are detached from the two first enclosure cloths 222 and folded on the bottom support portion 21, the two first enclosure cloths 222 can be kept in the upright posture by the two second rigid panels 231 of the two second side enclosure portions 23, so that the two first enclosure cloths 222 and the two second side enclosure portions 23 form the surrounding wall to define the storage cavity 24 together with the bottom support portion 21.

[0104] In this mode, the first coupling element 2231 is hidden between the enclosing cloth 2212 and the bottom supporting portion 21, this ensures that the hook or loop layer of the first coupling element 2231 does not come into direct contact with items in the storage cavity, preventing wear or damage during use.

[0105] In addition, there is no risk of the hook or loop layer coming into contact with items such as those with fur or fabric. This eliminates the possibility of fibers or fur adhering to the first coupling element 2231, preserving the cleanliness and usability of the storage space. The concealed hook or loop layer design makes the storage cavity 24 in the second unfolding mode suitable for a wider range of items, including delicate or furry materials, without concerns about snagging or adhesion.

[0106] The box body 2 further comprises a top wrapping layer 26 which is wrapped on upper edges of the first side enclosure portions 22 and the second side enclosure portions 23. The top wrapping layer 26, which can be made of a suitable flexible material such as fabric, polyester, nylon, canvas, oxford cloth, spandex, polyvinyl chloride, is preferred to be sewn on the upper edges of the first side enclosure portions 22 and the second side enclosure portions 23.

[0107] Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 11, an upper end portion 22221 of the attaching layer 2222 is concealed in the top wrapping layer 26 while a lower end portion 22222 of the attaching layer 2222 is spaced apart from the first body layer 2221 of the first enclosure cloth 222 to define the gap 2223 between the lower end portion 22222 of the attaching layer 2222 and the first body layer 2221 of the first enclosure cloth 222 for holding the upper end 2213 of the first side support plate 221.

[0108] The foldable storage box further comprises two handles 3 which can be mounted to an inner sides of the second side enclosure portions 23, so as to allow the user to hold on the handles 3 for lifting the box body 2.

[0109] The foldable storage box further comprises a plurality of fixing rings 4 and a plurality of fixing hook 5. In this embodiment, four fixing rings 4 can be mounted to a transition position between the adjacent first side enclosure portion 22 and the second side enclosure portion 23, two fixing hooks 5 can be detachably coupled to the fixing rings 4.

[0110] By attaching the fixing hooks 5 to the fixing rings 4, the foldable storage box can be secured to external structures, such as walls, vehicle interiors, or racks. This feature is especially useful in scenarios where the box body 2 needs to remain stable during transport or in a specific location.

[0111] Each fixing hook 5 comprises two hook portions 51 and an adjustable strap 52 connected between the two hook portions 51. Each fixing hook 5 can be mounted to the fixing ring 4 for fixing the foldable storage box to an environment.

[0112] Each fixing hook 5 can be connected to two fixing rings 4 by the two hook portions 51 at two ends thereof, so that the adjustable strap 52 can be wrapped around the box body 2 to compress the box body 2 for more compact storage when the box body 2 is in the folded state.
