Splash Guard

Abstract

A detachable and washable bathtub splash guard is provided to prevent water from splashing out of the bathtub onto the floor. The splash guard made of a rigid planar shelf and three surrounding walls is attached to the bathtub via affixing apparatus. The shelf space of the splash guard extends into the interior of the bathtub to eliminate safety hazards such as accidental hitting and tripping on it. The splash guard is constructed of non-toxic and more eco-friendly material. The present invention provides for a safe and eco-friendly splash guard for users.

Claims

1. A splash guard for a removable and fully washable compartment, comprising: a base; walls; and affixing apparatus.

2. The base, walls, and affixing apparatus of claim 1 are made of eco-friendly material.

3. The base of claim 1 extends into the interior of a bathtub.

4. The splash guard of claim 1 is affixed to a bathtub with affixing apparatus of claim 1.

[0007] Referring to FIG. 1, the splash guard 2 whose rectangular shaped base sitting on and over a bathtub rim 1 are extended along the open side of the bathtub. The splash guard 2 is attached to the bathtub via affixing apparatus 3. The splash guard 2 includes a rigid planar shelf and three surrounding walls. The three walls extend upwardly from the three outer sides of the base. The base and walls form a tray like structure that provides a sitting area for toys and storage area for users and helps prevent water from spilling and splashing onto the floor.

[0010] The splash guard 2 is constructed of non-toxic and more eco-friendly material such as silicon or similar in nature. The eco-friendly material breaks down easier than plastic, and can be put into the dishwater to prevent mold and mildew. Parents can get closer to their child to wash them.
