DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
[0032] The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.
[0033] As noted above, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that provides users with an improved lint roller with tabs on each sheet to easily pull away used sheets from the roller. There is also a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that utilizes a non-adhesive material for the tabs that make them easy to grab without sticking to the hands. Further, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that allows users to easily remove unwanted particles from clothing and reveal a fresh, clean sheet on the lint roller with minimal effort. Moreover, there is a long-felt need in the art for a device that offers a much more convenient method of removing used lint roller sheets from the roller. Further, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that accommodates the visually impaired users and those with limited physical dexterity. Finally, there is a long-felt need in the art for a lint roller tab device that can be flush with the lint sheet or integral with the lint sheet.
[0034] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a novel lint roller tab device. The device is a lint roller with tabs between each adhesive sheet designed to make removing the adhesive sheets easier. The lint roller tab device comprises a body component that is configured in a rectangular shape with a bottom half and a top half. The bottom half of the body component would be a transparent, plastic structure that attaches in some way to the lint sheet. The top half of the body component would be a non-transparent, plastic structure that protrudes from the lint roller or is embedded into the previous lint sheet. Thus, each lint roller tab device functions as a suitable way of pulling a used lint sheet off of a lint roller, through different types of tabs protruding from the lint sheet. The present invention also includes a novel method of pulling a lint sheet off a lint roller. The method includes the steps of using a lint roller to get rid of dust, dog hair, or other materials on clothing until the lint sheet is full. The method also comprises grabbing the device that is protruding from the used lint sheet. Further, the method comprises pulling the device until the perforated end of the lint sheet becomes visible. Finally, the method comprises tearing the perforated end to separate the lint sheet from a new lint sheet and whereas the new device for the next lint sheet is now protruding.
[0035] Referring initially to the drawings,
[0036] Generally, the lint roller tab device 100 comprises a body component 102, and a securing means 108. The body component 102 is thin and rectangular so as to be protruding partially from the lint sheet 106. Further, as shown in
[0037] As shown in
[0038] Additionally, a securing means 108 is positioned on the bottom half 206 of the body component 102 to attach it to the lint sheet 106. The securing means 108 could be any suitable adhesive material known in the art on the back face 202 of the bottom half 206 of the body component 102. Thus, the adhesive material adheres the body component 102 to the lint sheet 106. The securing means 108 could also just be simply embedding the body component 102 within the lint sheet 106, as an integral component. In this case, the body component 102 is flush with the lint sheet 106. The securing means 108 could also be positioned on the top half 204 of the body component 102 to connect the top half 204 with the previous lint sheet 106 in order to keep it flush to the lint sheet 106 as well.
[0039] Generally, the body component 102 is configured in a rectangular shape, but can also be configured in any other suitable shape as is known in the art, such as square, oval, circular, etc. The body component 102 is typically rectangular in shape because most tabs are rectangular and for ease. However, the other shapes are also suitable. The size of the body component 102 is a matter of choice. It generally has dimensions of height and width to accommodate standard-sized lint sheets 106 but not too small so that the body component 102 is easy to miss.
[0040] As shown in
[0041] As shown in
[0042] As shown in
[0043] In one embodiment, the lint roller tab device 100 comprises a plurality of indicia 500. The body component 102 of the device 100 may include advertising, a trademark, or other letters, designs, or characters, printed, painted, stamped, or integrated into the body component 102, or any other indicia 500 as is known in the art. Specifically, any suitable indicia 500 as is known in the art can be included, such as, but not limited to, patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letters, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, etc., that may or may not be lint sheet, tab, or brand related.
