DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0092]
[0093] In general, a drawer front panel 8 can also be used as an alternative or in addition to the drawer back panel 2. However, the connection of the drawer base 1 with the drawer back panel 2 is particularly preferred, in particular since in drawers 32 the drawer back panel 2 is less visible and/or generally does not include a decorative layer. The dimensioning of the drawer back panel 2 can be taken into account in a flexible manner by segmenting the drawer base 1. In general, a drawer side panel 3 can also be included in the transport position 4 via hinged connections 21, 22.
[0094] In one embodiment, the drawer base 1 comprises two drawer base segments 6, 7, which are hinge-connected together to transfer the assembly from the transport position 4 into the use position 5.
[0095] The assembly comprises a first hinged connection 21 between a first drawer base segment 6 of the drawer base 1 and the drawer back panel 2, wherein the first hinged connection 21 is formed by a film hinge 23 in the form of an adhesive as PU adhesive. The first hinged connection 21 is designed such that in the transition between the transport position 4 and the use position 5 of the assembly a pivoting movement of 90 degrees can be carried out, which can generally be fixed via a furniture fitting 29 or a drawer side panel 3, so that the final position of the drawer back panel 2 of 90 degrees in the use position 5 is stabilized compared to the transport position 4 in the assembly, for example by a connection of the drawer back panel 2 to the drawer side panel 3.
[0096] In general, it is also conceivable that the end position is limited by tension or geometry via the film hinge 23 or a notch in the drawer back panel 2 or the drawer base 1 in the region of the film hinge 23 to a pivoting movement beyond 90 degrees. For example, a notch in the drawer back panel 2 has a cut angle other than 180 degrees compared to a notch in the drawer base 1, although this is generally not required.
[0097] The assembly comprises a second hinged connection 22 between the two drawer base segments 6, 7, which is designed such that a pivoting movement of substantially 180 degrees can be carried out in the transition between the transport position 4 and the use position 5 of the assembly. The two drawer base segments 6, 7 are slotted relative to each other in such a way that a notch angle of 180 degrees exists between the drawer base segments 6, 7 (various such possible connections of plate parts via hinged connections 21, 22 via flexible layers such as adhesive hinges or film hinges 23 are shown in particular in
[0098] The first hinged connection 21 and the second hinged connection 22 are formed by a film hinge 23, which is in the form of PU adhesive.
[0099] The two drawer base segments 6, 7 and the drawer back panel 2 each have a first cover surface 17 and a second cover surface 18, wherein in the transport position 4 of the assembly the first and second cover surfaces 17, 18 of the drawer back panel 2 and of the second drawer base segment 7 are arranged parallel to the first drawer base segment 6 (i.e. to its first and second cover surfaces 17, 18). In the use position 5, the first cover surface 17 and the second cover surface 18 of the drawer base 1 are arranged orthogonally to the first cover surface 17 and the second cover surface 18 of the drawer back panel 2, of the drawer side panels 3 and of the drawer front panel 8. It is also conceivable to provide the drawer front 8 with a different layer structure 24 than the drawer base 1 or the drawer back panel 2.
[0100] The drawer base 1, the drawer back panel 2 and the drawer front panel 8 of the exemplary embodiment according to
[0101] In general, the cover layer 26 in the layer structure 24 can be omitted. In general, the adhesive layer 27 can be arranged on the carrier layer 25 and/or on the cover layer 26. In general, the adhesive layer 27 can be arranged only partially or completely on the component parts involved in the folding. In general, the adhesive layer 27 can be arranged inside (i.e., between drawer layers 11) or outside (i.e., outside the drawer layers 11) in the use position 5 or the transport position 4. The adhesive layer 27 can generally be arranged locally or flatly in the folding direction 30 from the use position 5 into the transport position 4 and/or facing away from a folding direction 30 from the use position 5 into the transport position 4.
[0102]
[0103] In the transport position 4, the assembly comprises exactly two drawer layers 11, wherein in general more than two drawer layers 11 are also conceivable via further folds (or inclusion of the drawer side surfaces 3). The drawer base 1 is arranged in both drawer layers 11 over the two drawer base segments 6, 7. The drawer back panel 2 and the drawer front panel 8 according to the exemplary embodiment of
[0104] A drawer layer 11 comprises two parts 13, 14 spaced apart from one another by a gap 12, wherein the gap 12 is formed in the range of or smaller than a material thickness of the drawer base 2 and can be used for a proper folding process despite the compact transport position. A longitudinal extension 15 of a first part 13 in the form of the drawer back panel 2 (or the drawer front panel 8) is unequal and smaller than a longitudinal extension 15 of a second part 14 in the form of the second drawer base segment 7 (or the second drawer base segment 7 with the drawer front panel 8 arranged thereon).
[0105] As can be seen in the enlarged detail, the two parts 13, 14 are connected to each other by a transport lock 16 for secure alignment. The number or design of the transport lock 16 is generally arbitrary and can, for example, be in the form of an adhesive tape.
[0106] In the transport position 4 of the assembly, the two drawer layers 11 are in flat contact with one another, wherein it is preferably provided that at least one drawer layer 11 comprises two parts 13, 14, wherein the flat contact is present substantially over an entire longitudinal extension 15 of a first part 13 and a second part 14.
[0107] The assembly comprises two drawer layers 11, wherein the carrier layer 25 or the cover layer 26 or the adhesive layer 27 is arranged in the transport position 4 by folding between the two drawer layers 11 facing each other.
[0108]
[0109]
[0110]
[0111] The drawer base is hinge-connected to the drawer back panel or drawer front panel 8 by a film hinge 23 or adhesive hingesuch as a flexible foil or a film made of a hot-melt adhesiveso that the drawer back panel and the drawer front panel 8 rest flat on the drawer base 1 via the hinged connection in the transport position 4.
[0112]
[0113] In general, the set may alternatively or additionally comprise furniture fittings 29 in the form of front panel holders and/or back panel holders. In general, one of the side panels 3 may comprise a fastening means 31 such as a furniture fitting for fixing the drawer base 1.
[0114] An envelope of the assembly is rectangular in the transport position 4, with all opposite side surfaces 28 (indicated by dashed lines) being congruent to one another.
[0115]
[0116] In
[0117] As can be seen in
[0118] A method for producing the assembly can be explained as follows: The two drawer base segments 6, 7 and the drawer back panel 2 (and optionally the drawer front panel 8 of the embodiment according to
[0119] Two further exemplary methods for producing the assembly without segmenting the drawer base 1 can be carried out as follows: The drawer base 1 and the drawer back panel 2 are provided by machining from a plate-shaped starting material, wherein the drawer base 1 is hinge-connected to the drawer back panel 2 via a flexible layer to form a film hinge 23 or adhesive hinge, so that the drawer back panel 2 rests on the front side of the drawer base in the use position 5. A plate-shaped starting material is provided with a flexible layer, wherein the plate-shaped starting material is machined in certain regions so that the flexible layer in the form of a film hinge 23 or adhesive hinge connects the drawer base 1 to the drawer back panel 2 in such a way that the drawer back panel 2 rests on the front side of the drawer base 1 in the use position 5.
[0120] In
[0121]
[0122] The drawer side panels 3 are arranged externally on the assembly, wherein it is also conceivable to integrate at least one of the drawer side panels 3 via a hinged connection 21 such as a film hinge 23 in the transport position 4 of the assembly.
[0123]
[0124] In
[0125]
[0126]
[0127] The drawer 32 comprises the assembly in the use position 5, wherein the drawer base 1, the drawer back panel 2 and the drawer front panel 8 (generally optionally formed by a plurality of drawer front panel segments 10) are fastened to the drawer side panels 3 by furniture fittings 29. The material of the drawer side panels 3 is generally arbitrary, wherein frames can be formed in one piece or in several pieces.
[0128] A method for assembling the drawer 32 can be explained as follows: The assembly is provided in the transport position 4, wherein the second drawer base segment 7 and the drawer back panel 2 are folded onto the first drawer base segment 6 with flat contact over an entire longitudinal extension 15 of the second drawer base segment 7 and the drawer back panel 2. The assembly is transferred from the transport position 4 into the use position 5, wherein the drawer back panel 2 (and the drawer front panel 8) is folded out by 90 degrees relative to the first drawer base segment 6 and the second drawer base segment 7 is folded out by 180 degrees relative to the first drawer base segment 6. The drawer base 1, the drawer back panel 2 and the drawer front panel 8 are arranged on the drawer side panels 3 via fastening means 31 such as furniture fittings 29for example front fittings and back panel holders.
[0129] The drawer front panel 8 can be connected to a second drawer base segment 7 in the transport position 4, as in
[0130]
[0131] In
[0132] In
[0133] As transport lock 16 for the embodiments of the transport positions 4 according to
[0134]
[0135]
[0136] As can be seen in the schematic illustration at the top left, the film hinge 23 can only extend in some regions over a material thickness of the drawer base 1, the drawer back panel 2 or the drawer front panel 8 or can be arranged in some regions on the drawer layers 11. Preferably, however, the film hinge 23 extends over the entire material thickness, as can be seen in the schematic illustration at the bottom left.
[0137] Since the drawer base 1 is preferably inserted in regions within drawer side panels 3 or the drawer back panel 2 is arranged in regions within a furniture fitting 29, the film hinge 23 preferably extends only in regions over a width (orthogonal to the longitudinal extension 15 and the material thickness) of the drawer base 1 and/or the drawer back panel 2 for a firm fit.
[0138] The number of material layers of a layer structure 24 is also arbitrary, as can be seen in the two left-hand schematic figures. The layer structure 24 can, for example, consist only of a carrier layer 25, have a decorative layer 26 in addition to the carrier layer 25 and/or alternatively or additionally comprise an adhesive layer 27. Preferably, however, the layer structure 24 is designed without an adhesive layer, wherein in the transport position 4 the adhesive layer 27 is arranged on the end face (i.e. in the region of the hinged connection 21, 22 to the adjacent assembly butt to butt in the use position 5see schematic illustration bottom right) or on the outside of the end facesas can be seen in the two left-hand schematic illustrations. In the use position 5, the adhesive layer 27 is arranged in two layers between the drawer base segments 6 and 7.
[0139] However, the film hinge 23 can also be arranged between drawer layers 11 and/or form the adhesive layer 27 of the layer structure 24, wherein the adhesive layer 27 preferably only forms a layer of the layer structure 24 in some regionsas can be seen in the schematic illustration in the top center. However, an adhesive layer 27 is also conceivable which extends over the entire longitudinal extension 15 of the drawer base 1 and/or the drawer back panel 2.
[0140] In order to counteract a potential bulge formation of the film hinge 23 in a folded state of the film hinge 23 (in particular in transport position 4), the drawer base 1 and/or the drawer back panel 2 (or the drawer front panel 8 or the drawer side panel 3) can comprise a front-side chamfer (see schematic illustration top right) and/or a recess in the material thickness (see schematic illustration bottom center). A bulge formation can undesirably counteract a surface contact of drawer layers 11.
[0141] Preferably, the carrier layer 25 or the cover layer 26 together with the film hinge 23 form a substantially flat surface in the use position 5 (without a protrusion of a bulge or a depression caused by folding), as can be seen in the schematic illustration at the bottom right. If necessary, free positions may be provided for this purpose. In general, for example, T-shaped, V-shaped or I-shaped film hinges 23 are possible.
[0142] Particularly preferred is the frontal arrangement of the film hinge 23 on the outside in the transport position 4 according to the schematic illustrations on the left and the schematic illustration bottom right in the use position 5. In this case, a flat contact between the parts or segments can be generated in the transport position 4 without requiring an elastic deformation of the drawer layers 11.
[0143]
[0144] These embodiments are characterized in combination of the individual partial aspects in that the film hinge 23 can be arranged on inclined surfaces 33, which are arranged as a recess 34 or with steps 35 or tongue and groove 36 on at least one drawer base segment 6, 7 or the drawer back panel 2. In addition, covering means 37 in the form of adhesives, foils and profiles for covering an edge surface 38if necessary via holding devices 39 of the drawer base 1 or the drawer back panel 2are shown.
[0145]
[0152]
[0153] These concern the following folding solutions based on the top illustration: [0154] A fold by means of a hot-melt adhesive hinge, which is arranged on the front side of beveled edge surfaces (inclined surfaces 33) of the plate parts, wherein a tongue and groove profiling 36 is provided for stabilizing the plate parts relative to one another in the unfolded state. The tongue and groove 36 is due to a bending out of a lip arranged below, which is overcome when the plate parts are folded. [0155] A fold similar to the previous embodiment, wherein stabilization of the plate parts relative to each other is ensured by a mechanical lockingon the side facing away from the cover layer 26. This effectively prevents unwanted loosening of the folding connection. [0156] A fold by means of an adhesive hinge, which is arranged on the edge surfaces/butt surfaces of the plate parts and adjacent back sides of the plate parts. Optionally, an adhesive tape can be used to cover only the edge surfaces/butt surfaces. This exemplary embodiment represents a particularly economical solution. [0157] A fold by means of a hot-melt hinge, which is arranged on beveled edge surfaces (inclined surfaces 33) of the plate parts. In general, it is possible to create a groove on the visible side and/or the cover layer 26, which is filled with another hot-melt adhesive, in particular one that is color-matched to the cover layer 26, so that a visually appealing folded connection can be achieved. [0158] A fold by means of a hot-melt adhesive hinge, which is arranged on the abutting surface or edge surface of the drawer back panel 2 and on the end region of the drawer base 1. The resulting additional adhesive surface on the back of the adhesive surface enables additional stabilization of the plate parts.
[0159] In the illustration at the bottom right, a section of a position of use 5 can be seen, wherein the drawer base 1 is hinge-connected to the drawer back panel 2 by a film hinge 23 or adhesive hingesuch as a flexible foil or a film made of a hot-melt adhesivewherein the drawer base 1 is hinge-connected to the drawer back panel 2 in such a way that the drawer back panel 2 rests indirectly flat on the front side of the drawer base 1 in the position of use 5. In general, it is also possible, for example, for the support to be provided at an angle, linearly, in sections and/or directly.
[0160]
[0161] These concern the following folding solutions based on the top illustration: [0162] A fold by means of a hot-melt adhesive hinge (analogous to the previously described embodiment), wherein the edge surfaces or abutting surfaces each have an inclined surface 33 away from an orthogonal orientation to the plate planes, whereby production of the folded connection is facilitated and in particular both plate parts can be profiled simultaneously with a milling tool while lying on top of one another. [0163] A fold analogous to the previous exemplary embodiment, wherein a recess 34 is provided in the edge region of the drawer base 1 for engagement of the drawer back panel 2 (in the region of the inclined surfaces 33). This results in increased stabilization of the plate parts relative to one another in the unfolded statein particular when the drawer back panel 2 is loaded in the direction of a back side of the drawer 32 (caused, for example, by sliding objects during an opening and/or closing process of the drawer 32). [0164] A fold analogous to the preceding exemplary embodiment, wherein in addition a shoulder in the form of steps 35 is arranged on the front side of the plate part of the drawer back panel 2, which engages in a corresponding recess in a depression arranged at the end of the drawer base 1. This allows locking of the plate parts in the opened (or unfolded) state and prevents unintentional release of the folding connectionparticularly during assembly of the drawer 32.
[0165]
[0166] These concern the following termination solutions: Top left shows a wood-based panel (generally a plate) with a coating on both sides (generally, only a coating on one side can be provided or no coating can be provided at all), wherein the edge surface 38 or end surface is provided with a colorant as a covering means 37. Colorants can be, for example, paints, inks, varnishes, stains, colored hot-melt adhesives or the like. The edge surface 38 can be orthogonal, angular, chamfered, cambered, rounded, etc. and/or provided with a profile. In addition, the wood-based plate can be seen as an alternative or supplementary design with an edge band arranged on the edge surface 38 as a covering means 37. The edge band can be attached using an adhesive or directly extruded.
[0167] On the right, a wood-based plate with a rounded geometry is shown, which is coated on one side with a foil as a covering means 37, wherein the foil is pulled over the edge surface 38of the drawer back panel 2 or the drawer base 1and covers the end region of the plate. The visible rounding can generally also be profiled in the form of a chamfer, a crown or an inclined surface. For example, in the case of an angled edge surface 38, the foil can extend only in the region of the edge surface 38. In addition, a wood-based plate can be seen which is coated on one side and on the (top-located) edge surface 38 (for example the drawer back panel 2) a separate profile is arranged as a covering means 37, which is held by clamping or fixed via adhesive as a holding device 39.
[0168] At the bottom left, a wood-based plate with a coating on one side is shown, wherein a groove is provided on the edge surface 38, into which a profile engages as a covering means 37 and is held by a pine cone connection as a holding device 39. In addition, a wood-based plate is shown which comprises a dovetail-like profile on the edge surface 38 as a holding device 39, which is encompassed by a covering means 37 in the form of a U-shaped profile.
[0169] A method for applying a coating to the edge surface 38 (the end face or also to an abutting surface) is generally arbitrary, but it has proven particularly advantageous if the edge surface 38 (sharp-edged, trapezoidal, round, rounded, etc.) is sealed by applying paints by means of roller coating, spray coating and/or vacuum technology, adhesives or liquid plastics by means of roller coating such as hot coating or spray coating and thermal transfer films by means of hot transfer rollers or hot transfer belts.
[0170] When applied via vacuum painting, for example, a loss- and overspray-free multi-dimensional coating is achieved, wherein undercuts in particular can be coated with high quality and coating materials such as solvent-free systems, water-based paints, UV paints or oils can be used.
[0171] In a roller application painting process, the coating medium can be applied in direct contact via a rubber roller (e.g. with EPDM, PUR, Hypalon, foam rubber or the like)if necessary using dosing rollers or scoop trays to transfer the material. Metal rollers in the form of steel rollers, chrome-plated rollers or similar can also be used. The application quantity can be adjusted by the pressure and speed of the rollers as well as the viscosity of the coating material. With a transfer wheel, material is applied directly to the surface to be coated by a rotating disc, wherein the transfer wheel is adapted to the geometry of the medium to be coated. In spray application, material is deposited directly onto a medium by means of standing drops. Alternatively, drops can be atomized using compressed air to apply finer layers. In casting processes, the coating medium is poured onto a substrate through a casting head, wherein an application quantity can be defined via the gap openings of the casting head and the feed speed.
[0172] The following materials are generally to be mentioned as coating media (in particular for the film hinge 23 or the edge surface finish)not exhaustively: aqueous dispersion adhesives/coating systems, UV emulsions (aqueous), UV water-based coating systems, UV systems (radiation-curing using LED/mercury lamps, doped lampse.g. Ga, Fe), PUR systems (hot-melt adhesives, thermally curing, 2K systems), polyester systems, epoxy systems, SH coating systems, powder coatings, etc.

[0174] In the lower illustration, the wood-based plate is provided on one side with a coating foil, wherein the edge surface 38 is covered with a double-folding profile as a covering means 37, which can be milled from a plate and has a double-folding profile projection. The double folding profile projection can be pivoted by 180 and results in apreferably partialdoubling of the drawer back panel 2 (at its back side relative to the drawer 32). This increases the flexural rigidity of the plate. The film hinge 23 can be in the form of a hot-melt adhesive, wherein an additional fixation by an adhesive can be provided as a holding device 39 in order to further increase the stability of the plate. Alternatively or additionally, it is conceivable to realize the film hinge 23 as a coating film in the form of the covering means 37, wherein optionally an additional adhesive can be used as a holding device 39 of the flanks.
[0175] The present invention is not limited to wood-based plates. For example, plastic plates, metallic plates or the like can also be used.
[0176] In general, a flat laminationwithout adhesive on narrow edgescan be provided. In general, lamination material can be placed over the narrow edge. The layer structure 24 of the plate material is generally arbitrary. For example, a film hinge 23 may be in the form of a coating and/or a flexible foil.
[0177] For example, the drawer front panel 8 can be designed in such a way that means for fastening to drawer side panels 3 are pre-assembled, which enable a positionally secure fixation of the drawer front panel 8 during folding from the transport position 4 into the use position 5.
