Abstract
A skin treatment applicator device includes an elastomeric band which can be extended across a user's back. The elastomeric band is stretchable to such that tension in the elastomeric band enables the elastomeric band to be compressed against the user's back. A block is attached to the elastomeric band and the block is placed against the user's back when the user stretches the elastomeric band across their back. A plurality of bristles is each attached to the block thereby enabling the plurality of bristles to be pressed against the user's back when the user stretches the elastomeric band across their back. Each of the plurality of bristles is comprised of a fluid impermeable material thereby enabling the plurality of bristles to spread a fluid skin treatment across the user's back.

Description
(i) BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
[0011] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
[0012]
[0013]
[0014]
[0015]
[0016]
(j) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0017] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0018] As best illustrated in
[0019] A block 22 is provided and the block 22 is attached to the elastomeric band 12. The block 22 is centrally located on the elastomeric band 12 thereby enabling the block 22 to be placed against the user's back 16 when the user 18 stretches the elastomeric band 12 across their back 16. The block 22 has a coupled surface 24 which is attached to a front surface 26 of the elastomeric band 12. Additionally, the block 22 is centrally located between a first end 28 and a second end 30 of the elastomeric band 12 and the block 22 is centrally located between a top edge 32 of the elastomeric band 12 and a bottom edge 34 of the elastomeric band 12.
[0020] The block 22 has an outer edge 36 which extends between the coupled surface 24 and an exposed surface 38 of the block 22. The outer edge 36 has a lower portion 40 lying on a plane which is oriented perpendicular to the coupled surface 24. Additionally, the outer edge 36 has an upper portion 42 which angles inwardly between the lower portion 40 and the exposed surface 38. In this way the exposed surface 38 has a surface area that is less than the surface area of the coupled surface 24.
[0021] A plurality of bristles 44 is provided and each of the plurality of bristles 44 is attached to the block 22. In this way the plurality of bristles 44 can be pressed against the user's back 16 when the user 18 stretches the elastomeric band 12 across their back 16. Each of the plurality of bristles 44 is comprised of a fluid impermeable material, including but not being limited to rubber or silicone, thereby enabling each of the plurality of bristles 44 to be exposed to the fluid skin treatment 20 without absorbing the fluid skin treatment 20. In this way the bristles 44 are enabled to spread the fluid skin treatment 20 across the user's back 16. Additionally, each of the plurality of bristles 44 is comprised of a deformable material to enable the plurality of bristles 44 to resist abrading the user's back 16 thereby enhancing comfort for the user 18 when the plurality of bristles 44 is urged across the user's back 16.
[0022] Each of the plurality of bristles 44 has a coupled end 46 which is coupled to the exposed surface 38 of the block 22. The plurality of bristles 44 is arranged in a plurality of columns 48 and rows 50 on the exposed surface 38 of the block 22 which covers the full surface area of the exposed surface 38. Additionally, each of the plurality of bristles 44 has a free end 52 which tapers to a point to enhance applying the fluid skin treatment 20 to the skin 54 on the user's back 16. The fluid skin treatment 20 may comprise skin lotion, body wash, skin oil or any other type of fluid that is commonly applied to human skin for health and beauty purposes.
[0023] In use, the fluid skin treatment 20 is applied to the plurality of bristles 44 and each of the first end 28 and the second end 30 of the elastomeric band 12 is gripped to enable the user 18 to extend the elastomeric band 12 across their back 16. In this way the plurality of bristles 44 can be pressed against the user's back 16 thereby enabling the fluid skin treatment 20 to be applied to the user's back 16. The user 18 urges the elastomeric band 12 to travel back and forth across their back 16 to spread the fluid skin treatment 20 across their back 16 in a manner that would not be possible without assistance. In this way the user 18 can apply skin lotion, for example, on the entire area of their back 16 without requiring assistance.
[0024] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
