Abstract
A two-piece detachable coverall device is provided. The device is comprised of a coverall body comprised of an upper half and a lower half. The halves can be separated via a set of reciprocating fasteners. The upper half covers the torso, while the lower half covers the legs, each with adjustable fasteners for tightening. The separable design of the halves allows easy use of the restroom without having to remove the entire garment and/or a portion of the garment completely. This method of use involves detaching the upper and lower halves, using the restroom, and then reattaching the halves once finished.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0021] The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.
[0022] As noted above, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an improved coverall. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a two-piece detachable coverall device. Further, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a two-piece detachable coverall device that allows a user to use the restroom without removing the device. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a two-piece detachable coverall device that improves hygiene and user convenience by not requiring that the user remove the device completely from their body prior to using the restroom.
[0023] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a two-piece detachable coverall device. The device is comprised of a body that is comprised of a pair of coveralls. More specifically, the body is formed by an upper half that removably attaches to a lower half via at least one set of reciprocating fasteners. The upper half of the body covers the torso of the user and is comprised of at least one neck hole that allows a user's neck to extend outwards from the upper half. The neck hole may also be comprised of a collar in one embodiment. The upper half is also comprised of at least one sleeve that may be any sleeve type such as, but not limited to, short sleeve, long sleeve, three-quarter sleeve, etc. In one embodiment, the sleeve can be tightened around the arm, forearm, wrist, etc., of the user via at least one fastener. The upper half may also be comprised of at least one separable fastener that allows the upper half to be partially (or in one embodiment, completely) opened for cooling purposes.
[0024] The body is also comprised of a lower half that covers the lower body of a user. The lower half is comprised of at least one leg which may be a short leg, a long pant leg, a three-quarter pant leg, etc. In one embodiment, the leg can be tightened around the leg or ankle of the user via at least one fastener such as, but not limited to, a button fastener, a hook and loop fastener, an elastic fastener, etc. The lower half may also be comprised of at least one waistband. In one embodiment, the lower half is also comprised of at least one belt loop that may receive a belt. In one embodiment, the lower half may be comprised of at least one fly closure that allows the lower half to be partially unfastened.
[0025] As noted, the lower half and the upper half removably attach to one another via at least one pair of reciprocating fasteners. The fasteners may be any type of reciprocating fasteners known in the art. This includes, but is not limited to, a hook fastener, a loop fastener, a zipper fastener, a button fastener, a snap-button fastener, a magnet fastener, etc. As a result, the fasteners allow the upper half to be easily separated from the lower half. This allows a user to easily use the bathroom by simply separating the halves from one another, without having to remove the entire device (as is the case with existing coveralls). The fastener of the upper half may be positioned anywhere on the upper half but is preferably positioned circumferentially around the bottom edge of the upper half. The fastener of the lower half may be positioned anywhere on the lower half but is preferably positioned circumferentially around the top edge of the lower half.
[0026] Any portion of the upper half and/or lower half may be comprised of at least one pocket. The pocket may be an open pocket or may be a closed pocket. In a closed embodiment, the pocket may be secured closed via at least one fastener, such as, but not limited to, a zipper, a snap-button, a hook fastener, a loop fastener, a magnet, a button fastener, an eyelet fastener, etc. In a further embodiment, a closed pocket version may be comprised of at least one flap, wherein at least one fastener is positioned on the flap and at least one fastener is positioned on the pocket such that the flap is removably secured to the pocket.
[0027] The present invention is also comprised of a method of using the device. First, a device is provided comprised of a coverall body having an upper half that is removably attached to a lower half via at least one set of reciprocating fasteners. Then, a user can place the upper half around their torso and the lower half around their lower body, wherein the upper half can then be connected to the lower half by connecting the fasteners. Then, a user can separate the fasteners from one another to separate the upper half from the lower half. Next, a user can use the restroom, wherein the upper half and lower half remain on/around the user's body. Finally, the user can re-attach the upper half to the lower half via securing the fasteners back together.
[0028] Accordingly, the two-piece detachable coverall device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides an improved coverall that allows a user to use the restroom without completely removing a portion of the device. As a result, the device improves hygiene and user convenience by not requiring that the user remove a portion of the device completely from their body prior to using the restroom like with existing overalls. In this manner, the two-piece detachable coverall device overcomes the limitations of existing coveralls known in the art.
