    Abstract

    A lotion applicator device is provided. The device is comprised of a body that may feature a handle with a grip area made of textured or non-slip material for improved handling. The body includes fasteners that engage with a reservoir fastener, which in turn attaches a reservoir containing a liquid, such as a massage oil or a lotion. The liquid is dispensed via a roller ball that moves omnidirectionally across a user's skin, with an optional cap to cover the ball when not in use. The device can be used manually or hands-free by attaching a tertiary fastener to a surface, allowing for easy liquid application. Methods of use involve assembling the components and either manually rolling the ball over the skin or pressing the body against the ball when the device is attached to a surface.

    Claims

    1. A lotion applicator device comprising: a body comprised of a first fastener and a handle, wherein the handle comprised of a grip area; and a reservoir comprised of a roller ball having omnidirectional movement, wherein the reservoir comprised of a second fastener.

    2. The lotion applicator device of claim 1, wherein the first fastener and the second fastener are comprised of a pair of reciprocating fasteners.

    3. The lotion applicator device of claim 2, wherein the first fastener is comprised of a male fastener, a female fastener, a tongue fastener, a groove fastener, a male thread, a female thread, or a magnetic fastener.

    4. The lotion applicator device of claim 2, wherein the second fastener is comprised of a male fastener, a female fastener, a tongue fastener, a groove fastener, a male thread, a female thread, or a magnetic fastener.

    5. The lotion applicator device of claim 1, wherein the grip area is comprised of a raised texture.

    6. The lotion applicator device of claim 1, wherein the grip area is comprised of a recessed texture.

    7. The lotion applicator device of claim 1, wherein the grip area is comprised of a non-slip rubber.

    8. The lotion applicator device of claim 1 further comprised of a cap.

    9. A lotion applicator device comprising: a reservoir comprised of: an interior space a roller ball; and a first fastener; a tertiary fastener comprised of an attachment fastener; and a reservoir fastener comprised of a secondary fastener.

    10. The lotion applicator device of claim 9, wherein the reservoir fastener and the attachment fastener are comprised of a pair of reciprocating fasteners.

    11. The lotion applicator device of claim 9, wherein the first fastener and the secondary fastener are comprised of a pair of reciprocating fasteners.

    12. The lotion applicator device of claim 9, wherein the tertiary fastener is comprised of an adhesive fastener, a magnet fastener, or a suction cup fastener.

    13. The lotion applicator device of claim 9, wherein the roller ball is comprised of an omnidirectional roller ball.

    14. The lotion applicator device of claim 9, wherein a liquid is positioned within the interior space.

    15. The lotion applicator device of claim 14, wherein the liquid is comprised of a massage oil.

    16. The lotion applicator device of claim 14, wherein the liquid is comprised of a massage lotion.

    17. A method of using a lotion applicator device, the method comprising the following steps: providing a lotion applicator device comprised of a body, a first fastener, a reservoir fastener comprising a secondary fastener, a reservoir comprising a second fastener, a roller ball, and a liquid; filling the reservoir with the liquid; securing the secondary fastener of the reservoir fastener to the second fastener of the reservoir; attaching the reservoir fastener to the first fastener of the body; and rolling the roller ball across a user's body surface to dispense the liquid from the reservoir onto the user's body via the roller ball.

    18. The method of using a lotion applicator device of claim 17, wherein the liquid is comprised of a lotion.

    19. The method of using a lotion applicator device of claim 17, wherein the liquid is comprised of an oil lotion.

    20. The method of using a lotion applicator device of claim 17, wherein the roller ball is comprised of an omnidirectional roller ball.

There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a lotion applicator device that allows a user to easily apply lotion to reach-to-reach body areas. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a lotion applicator device that allows a user to easily apply lotion to reach-to-reach body areas in a hands-free manner. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a lotion applicator device that allows a user to easily apply lotion to reach-to-reach body areas, wherein the device provides extended reach.

    [0024] The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a lotion applicator device. The body includes at least one fastener that engages with at least one reservoir fastener, allowing the reservoir fastener to be secured to the body. The top surface of the reservoir fastener contains at least one secondary fastener, which permits the attachment of a reservoir to the body. The reservoir can be of any shape and features an interior space designed to hold at least one liquid, such as but not limited to massage oil, lotion, or similar substances.

The roller ball preferably has omnidirectional movement, allowing it to pick up liquid when moved across the user's body surface and dispense it onto the skin. When not in use, the roller ball may be covered by at least one cap.

Afterward, the reservoir fastener is attached to the first fastener, and the user can grip the body to move the roller ball across the skin, dispensing the liquid onto the body area.

In one embodiment, the device allows for hands-free application. The body of the device also provides extended reach for easy access to difficult areas, thus improving on existing devices and methods in the art.

    [0030] Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a lotion applicator device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is comprised of a body 110. The body 110 may be any shape and size but is preferably generally rectangular. The body 110 may be made of any material such as but not limited to a plastic or a wood material. The body 110 may be comprised of a handle 111. The handle 111 may be comprised of at least one grip area 1110. The grip area 1110 is preferably comprised of a raised and/or recessed texture to improve grip. The grip area 1110 may be made from the same or different material as the remainder of the body 110. In one embodiment, the grip area 1110 is comprised of a non-slip material such as but not limited to a non-slip rubber.

The rolling ball 134 is preferably an omnidirectional movement rolling ball, such that moving the ball 134 across a body surface of a user covers the ball 134 in the liquid 150 and dispenses the liquid 150 onto a user's body. When not in use, the ball 134 may be covered via at least one cap 136. The cap 136 may be any type such as but not limited to a threaded cap, a snap cap, a tethered cap, a magnetic cap, etc.

    [0034] In one embodiment, the roller ball 134 can be moved via grabbing the body 110. In a different embodiment, the device 100 is comprised of at least one tertiary fastener 140. The tertiary fastener 140 may include but is not limited to an adhesive fastener, a magnet fastener, a suction cup fastener, etc. that attaches to any surface. Then, the fastener 132 of the reservoir 130 can attach to at least one attachment fastener 142 of the tertiary fastener 140, as seen in FIG. 3. The fasteners 132, 140 may be any type of reciprocating fastener types such as but not limited to a male fastener and a female fastener, a tongue fastener and a groove fastener, a male thread and a female thread, a pair of magnet fasteners, etc. As a result, the tertiary fastener 140 allows the device 100 to attach to a surface for hands-free liquid 150 application.
