[0051] Referring now to
[0052] In exemplary embodiments where first layer 102 and second layer 104 are detachably fastened to one another, the detachable connection of first layer 102 and second layer 104 with fastening member 106 may allow first layer 102 and second layer 104 to be detached and cleaned independently. For example, in some non-limiting embodiments, first layer 102 may comprise a polymeric material, which may be polyester, nylon, vinyl, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, another polymeric material, or a combination thereof, such that first layer 102 is durable and waterproof. First layer 102 may further be hydrophobic. These materials and properties allow first layer 102 to adequately protect chair 1 from its surrounding environment, weather conditions, dirt, and wear and tear from regular use. These materials and properties may also protect a user from residual moisture or dirt on a chair that accumulated prior to implementation of chair cover 100 on chair 1. In such an embodiment, first layer 102 may not be easily or safely cleaned with common methods such as a washing machine. Instead, first layer 102 may require cleaning via other cleaning methods such as by hand, hose, power washer, or the like.
[0053] However, these cleaning methods may not be suitable for second layer 104, which may be comprised of a plush and comfortable material. In some non-limiting embodiments, as shown in
[0054] As further shown in
[0055] In some non-limiting embodiments, as shown in
[0056] As shown in
[0057] Referring now to
[0058] In some non-limiting embodiments, as shown in
[0059] Referring now to
[0060] In some non-limiting embodiments, chair cover 100 may be further sized and configured to lay flat for use as a throw blanket or picnic blanket when chair cover 100 is in a state such that chair cover 100 is not attached to a chair.
[0061] In some non-limiting embodiments, chair cover 100 may include at least one wrap configured to cover a user when a user sits in chair 100. The at least one wrap may be comprised of the same or similar material as second layer 104 to provide increased warmth and comfortability. In some non-limiting embodiments, the at least one wrap may be similar to a sleeping bag, a blanket or another similar cover for a user. The wrap may also further include apertures for extremities such as arms or the head of a user. In some non-limiting embodiments, chair cover 100 may further include at least one pouch configured to contain the at least one wrap when the at least one wrap is not in use.
[0062] In some non-limiting embodiments, chair cover 100 may further include a durable waterproof shell configured to cover first layer 102, second layer 104, and chair 1 when chair 1 is not in use. In some non-limiting embodiments, chair cover 100 may further include at least one pouch configured to contain the shell when the shell is not in use.
[0063] In some non-limiting embodiments, chair cover 100 may also include a head rest to further increase user comfortability. In some non-limiting embodiments, the head rest may be detachably attached via a hook and loop fastening system, snap buttons, or another suitable detachable attachment member.
[0064] While several examples of the chair cover and blanket with detachable layers are shown in the accompanying figures and described in detail hereinabove, other aspects will be apparent to, and readily made by, those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the disclosure. Accordingly, the foregoing description is intended to be illustrative rather than restrictive. The invention described hereinabove is defined by the appended claims and all changes to the invention that fall within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are to be embraced within their scope.
