DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0030] The invention will be understood from the following detailed description of embodiments of the invention, which are meant to be descriptive and not limiting. For the sake of brevity, some well-known features are not described in detail.
[0031] The reference numbers have been used to point out elements in the embodiments described and illustrated herein, in order to facilitate the understanding of the invention. They are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting. Also, the foregoing embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated in conjunction with systems and methods thereof, which are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting.
[0032]
[0033] A milking machine 10 according to one embodiment of the invention includes a milking cluster 62B, each for one cow; and prior art vacuum pump 68A, serving other milking clusters for other cows.
[0034] Milking cluster 62B includes prior art milking claw 60 for being connected to vacuum pump 68A; four teat cups 14B, each for connecting to one udder of the cow; four springy stretchable milk tubes 12B1, each extending from one teat cup 14B; and four air inlets 18B1, each extending from one of teat cups 14B.
[0035] However, milking claw ends 13A of milk tubes 12B1 are not connected directly to milking claw 60, but rather through milk tubes 12B2 being connected at their other end zones to milking claw 60; and air inlets 18B1 are not connected directly to milking claw 60, but rather through connection air tubes 18B2 being connected at their other end zones to milking claw 60
[0036] Milking cluster 62B may be regarded as including one milking claw 60; four milking assemblies 66B1; and a connection assembly 66B2, for connecting milking claw 60 to four milking assemblies 66B1.
[0037] Detailing the above, each milking assembly 66B1 includes one teat cup 14B, one milking tube 12B1, one air inlet 18B1, and a quick connection member 28A, such as a male thread; and connection assembly 66B2 includes four milk tubes 12B2, four connection air tubes 18B2, and four quick connection members 28B, each being connectable to one quick connection member 28A of one milking assembly 66B1.
[0038] In contrast to prior teat cup 14A being rigid and non-shape changeable, teat cup 14B is telescopic as including telescopic members 42A and 42B.
[0039]
[0040] The central portion 13B of milk tube 12B1 is disposed within teat cup 14B (including telescopic members 42A and 42B).
[0041]
[0042] At the marketed state of
[0043] Referring again to
[0044] Quick connection member 28B of connection assembly 66B2 further includes a central milk passage 32B for being connected to its milk tube 12B2; and an air passage 32A for being connected to its air tube 12B2. Air passage 32A may surround milk passage 32B.
[0045]
[0046] Connecting milking assembly 66B1 to connection assembly 66B2 is applied by a first step 54A and then a second step 54B.
[0047] At first step 54A the farmer draws telescopic member 42A of teat cup 14B away from telescopic member 42B against springy force of milk tube 12B1.
[0048] As detailed following, first step 54A stretches milk tube 12B1; seals milking claw end 13A of milk tube 12B1 to telescopic member 42B of teat cup 14B; seals udder end 13C of milk tube 12B1 to telescopic member 42A of teat cup 14B; and locks telescopic members 42A and 42B of teat cup 14B one to the other.
[0049] At the second step 54B, the farmer slightly rotates connection member 28A of milking assembly 66B1 in relation to connection member 28B of connection assembly 66B2.
[0050] As detailed following, second step 54B induces sealing of milk tube 12B1 of milking assembly 66B1 to milk tube 12B2 of connection assembly 66B2, and induces sealing of air inlet 18B1 of milking assembly 66B1 to air tube 18B2 of connection assembly 66B2.
[0051]
[0052] At first step 54A the farmer draws telescopic member 42A of teat cup 14B away from 42B against springy force of milk tube 12B1.
[0053] Upon first step 54A, telescopic member 42A pulls the udder end 13C of milk tube 12B1, and telescopic member 42B pulls the milking claw end 13A of milk tube 12B1, thus first step 54A stretches (72) milk tube 12B1.
[0054]
[0055] First step 54A further seals milking claw end 13A of resilient milk tube 12B1 to an end 45B of rigid telescopic member 42B of teat cup 14B; and seals resilient udder end 13C of milk tube 12B1 to an end 45A of rigid telescopic member 42A of teat cup 14B.
[0056] Referring again to
[0057] Further upon first step 54A, protrusion 48A of elastic ring 46 enters a niche 48B of telescopic member 42B, thus first step 54A locks telescopic members 42A and 42B of teat cup 14B one to the other. Thus protrusion 48A and niche 48B constitute locking members.
[0058] Thus, elastic ring 46 functions as a seal and as well for locking the stretched state. The sealing of milking tube 12B1 to the telescopic members is advantaged in that the drawing away of the telescopic rigid members one from the other provides the pressing of each of the ends of the milking tube on one of the telescopic members.
[0059] According to another embodiment, elastic ring 46 may be fixed to telescopic member 42B, thus niche 48B is of telescopic member 42A.
[0060] At the second step 54B, the farmer slightly rotates connection member 28A of milking assembly 66B1 in relation to connection member 28B (
[0061] Upon second step 54B, milking claw end 13A of milk tube 12B1 of milking assembly 66B1 is sealed to milk passage 32B tube 12B2 of connection assembly 66B2, and air inlet 18B1 of milking assembly 66B 1 is sealed to air passage 32A of connection assembly 66B2.
