DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0019] A garment includes pants having a moisture-resistant layer in the back material of the pants to prevent moisture, such as urine and/or sweat, from passing through the back material and onto another surface.
[0020]
[0021]
[0022] The front material 200 includes one or more textile layers that can include cotton, bamboo, polyester, and/or rayon. In some embodiment, the front material 200 only includes a textile layer 202. In some embodiments, the front material 200 can include two textile layers 202, 204. Each textile layer 202, 204 can comprise the same material(s) or one or more different materials than the other textile layer 204, 202. When the front material 200 includes two textile layers 202, 204, textile layer 202 can be referred to as a first textile layer 202 or an inner textile layer 202 and textile layer 204 can be referred to as a second textile layer 204 or an outer textile layer 204.
[0023] The front material 200 can have about 210 grams per square meter (gsm) to about 270 gsm of textile material(s) including about 240 gsm and any value or range between any two of the foregoing values.
[0024] The back material 210 includes first and second textile layers 212, 214 and a plastic-coated layer 216. The plastic-coated layer 216 is disposed between the first and second textile layers 212, 214. The first and second textile layers 212, 214 can an comprise the same material(s) or one or more different materials than the first textile layer 202 and/or than the second textile layer 204. The first textile layer 212 can comprise the same material(s) or one or more different materials than the second textile layer 214.
[0025] The plastic-coated layer 216 includes a textile layer 217 and a plastic coating 218. The textile layer 217 can comprise a bamboo fabric and/or an elastane (e.g., LYCRA) fabric. The plastic coating 218 comprises a water-impermeable plastic material. The plastic coating 218 can function as a moisture barrier that can prevent moisture from the child, such as urine and/or sweat, from reaching the second textile 214.
[0026] The back material 210 can have about 230 gsm to about 300 gsm of material(s) including about 265 gsm and any value or range between any two of the foregoing values. The plastic-coated layer can have about 20 gsm to about 30 gsm of material including about 25 gsm and any value or range between any two of the foregoing values.
[0027] The first and second textile layers 212, 214 can alternately be referred to as inner and outer textile layers 212, 214 and the plastic-coated layer 216 can alternately be referred to as a middle layer 216 (e.g., having a middle textile layer 217).
[0028] The inner textile layer 212 is configured to wick and/or absorb moisture away from the child's body including from a diaper 230 worn by the child. The inner textile layer 212 is configured to wick and/or absorb the moisture towards the middle layer 216 where the plastic coating 218 prevents the moisture from reaching the outer textile layer 214. Alternatively, the plastic coating 218 can reduce the rate at which moisture reaches the outer textile layer 214. Thus, the inner textile layer 212 including the plastic coating 218 can help keep a liquid-saturated diaper 230 from leaking through the back material 210 and onto another surface in contact with the pants 10 such as a crib, a car seat, a stroller, a chair, a rug, and/or another object in direct physical contact with the back material 210.

[0030]
[0031] The front material 200 is disposed on a front side 301 of the pants 10. The back material 210 is disposed on a back side 302 of the pants. The front and back materials 200, 210 are attached (e.g., sewn together) at a seam 310 (e.g., an outseam) that extends along a length of the pants 210. Another seam 320 (e.g., an inseam) attaches the front and back materials 200, 210 on an inside of the first leg 101, as illustrated in
[0032] Side views of the pants 10 including the second leg 102 are the same as those illustrated in
[0033]
[0034]
[0035] The front material 500 is disposed on the front of the one-piece garment 40 and is configured to cover the front of a child's body (e.g., torso, arms, legs). The back material 510 is disposed on the back of the one-piece garment 40 and is configured to cover the back of the child's lower body (e.g., torso, arms, legs). The front and back materials 500, 510 can be attached (e.g., sewn) together at seams on the sides of the one-piece garment 40. Away from the seams, the front and back materials 500, 510 are spaced apart to form a gap 520 to receive the child's body.
[0036] The front material 500 includes one or more textile layers that can include cotton, bamboo, polyester, and/or rayon. In some embodiment, the front material 500 only includes a textile layer 502. In some embodiments, the front material 500 can include two textile layers 502, 504. Each textile layer 502, 504 can comprise the same material(s) or one or more different materials than the other textile layer 504, 502. When the front material 500 includes two textile layers 502, 504, textile layer 502 can be referred to as a first textile layer 502 or an inner textile layer 502 and textile layer 504 can be referred to as a second textile layer 504 or an outer textile layer 504. The front material 500 can include the same textile layer(s) in the upper portion 400 and in the lower portion (or pants) 410. The first and/or second textile layers 502, 504 can be the same as or different than the first and/or second textile layers 202, 204, respectively.
[0037] The front material 500 can have about 210 gsm to about 270 gsm of textile material(s) including about 240 gsm and any value or range between any two of the foregoing values.
[0038] The back material 510 in the upper portion 400 includes one or more textile layers that can include cotton, bamboo, polyester, and/or rayon. In some embodiments, the back material 510 in the upper portion 400 includes a textile layer 512. In some embodiments, the back material 510 in the upper portion 400 can include two textile layers 512, 514. Each textile layer 512, 514 can comprise the same material(s) or one or more different materials than the other textile layer 514, 512. When the back material 510 includes two textile layers 512, 514, textile layer 512 can be referred to as a first textile layer 512 or an inner textile layer 512 and textile layer 514 can be referred to as a second textile layer 514 or an outer textile layer 514.
[0039] The back material 510 in the upper portion 400 can have about 210 gsm to about 270 gsm of textile materials including about 240 gsm and any value or range between any two of the foregoing values.
[0040] The back material 510 in the lower portion (or pants) 410 includes the same materials as the back material 210 of the pants 10, as illustrated in
[0041] A cross section of the pants 10 including the second leg 402 through plane 52 in
[0042]
[0043] The front material 500 is disposed on a front side 601 of the one-piece garment 40. The back material 510 is disposed on a back side 602 of the one-piece garment 40. The front and back materials 500, 510 are attached (e.g., sewn together) at a seam 610 (e.g., an outseam) that extends along a length of the one-piece garment 40. Another seam 620 (e.g., an inseam) attaches the front and back materials 500, 510 on an inside of the first leg 401, as illustrated in
[0044] Side views of the one-piece garment 40 including the second leg 402 are the same as those illustrated in
