DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0030] FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment example of an inventive device 1. The device 1 comprises a main body 2 that has rails 3 ending in legs 4. Running rails 5 are movably arranged along the rails 3 and are held in position on the rail 3 via clamping elements 6. The running rails 5 have each a groove 7 into which the supports 8 are inserted. A bead breaker arm 9 is equally fastened to a running rail 5. The bead breaker arm 9 has a bead breaker blade 10 arranged thereon which can be engaged between the tyre and the wheel rim in order to lever the tyre off the rim. On the upper end of the bead breaker arm 9 the bead breaker blade 10 has a depression provided thereon for accommodating a lever element 11 that engages therewith and serves for exerting pressure on the bead breaker blade 10. In addition, the main body 2 has a centring bar 12 screwed thereon which can accommodate the hub of the wheel rim. Furthermore, the centring bar 12 has a stopper 20 disposed thereon which can press against the rim in order to hold it in position.

[0031] FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment example of a running rail 5 for an inventive device 1. The running rail 5, which can be fastened on a rail 3 by means of a clamping element 6, has a groove 7 that is formed on its top surface and comprises a groove bottom 13 and two groove walls 14. The groove walls 14 have holes 15 provided therein which serve for fastening the support 8 within the groove 7 with the aid of a bolt 21, for example.

[0032] FIG. 3 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment example of a support 8 for an inventive device 1. Like the groove walls 14, the support 8 is equally provided with holes 16 through which a bolt 21 or, alternatively, a split pin may be passed in order to fasten the support 8 to the groove 7.

[0033] FIG. 4 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment example of a bent support 17 for an inventive device 1. The bent support 17 comprises a bent head 18 and is also provided with holes 16, allowing it to be fastened within a groove 7 of a running rail 5. The bent head 18 is pressed against the inner contour of the rim ring in order to hold the rim in a centred position.

[0034] FIG. 5 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment example of a support 8 according to FIG. 3 for an inventive device 1 which is inserted into a running rail 5 according to FIG. 2.

[0035] FIG. 6 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment example of a combination of a bent support 17 and a bead breaker arm 9 including a bead breaker blade 10, to be used in an inventive device 1.

[0036] FIG. 7 shows a schematic representation of another embodiment example of an inventive device 1, equipped for being used with motocross wheels.

[0037] FIG. 8 shows a schematic representation of another embodiment example of an inventive device 1, equipped for being used with scooter wheels. The illustrated embodiment of the inventive device 1 has a smaller centring bar 12 and a taper 19, allowing an improved orientation of the rim.

[0038] FIG. 9 shows a schematic representation of a bead breaker arm 9 for an inventive device 1 including an additional joint 22. The additional joint 22 is arranged on the bead breaker arm in such a manner that a user can utilise the lever element 11 without having to change his or her position since it is sufficient to move the position of the joint 22 in order to be able to exert a maximum force on the bead breaker blade 10.

[0039] All of the characteristics represented herein, as considered either in themselves or in any combination with each other, may be deemed essential to the invention.
