[0029] Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a beauty sleep or anti-aging pillow attachment 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The anti-aging sleep pillow attachment 100 is designed to be used as an ergonomic attachment for an existing bed pillow. More specifically, the pillow attachment 100 can be added to a user's existing pillow by placing the attachment 100 on the top of the existing pillow, and provides physiologically correct positioning while sleeping to provide deeper sleep and anti-aging features. The pillow attachment 100 includes a top surface 102 and a bottom surface 104. The bottom surface 104 is planar, and can be placed on a flat sleeping surface or on a sleeping pillow with which the attachment 100 is to be used by a user. A user can place his or her head on the top surface 102 and can easily transition between the supine position, prone position, lateral left position and lateral right position.

[0030] The top surface 102 includes a central section 106 for positioning the back of the head of a user in a supine position as shown best in FIG. 3 and for positioning the face of the user in a prone position as shown best in FIG. 4. The central section 106 can be preferably filled with copper and bamboo in addition to memory foam material. Bamboo helps in reducing acne and maintaining blood flow in skin when a user sleeps on the central section 106. The central section 106 can have a slight concave recess or shape for preventing any rolling or undesired movement of the head during sleeping. From the central section 106, a downward sloping neck support 108 is extended for supporting the neck and shoulders of the sleeping user using the attachment 100 as best shown in FIG. 3.

[0031] The neck support 108 can be of varied lengths to accommodate users of various neck and shoulders length. The neck support 108 conforms to the shape of the neck of a user and provides the necessary support while sleeping in any of the supine position, prone position, lateral left position and lateral right position. In combination, the central section 106 and neck support 108 are configured for maintaining neutral cervical curvature and alignment for the user's bodily comfort. Further, the neck support 108 slightly elevates the neck and back of the user, thereby assisting in reducing morning facial puffiness.

[0032] The pillow attachment 100 includes a right section 110 extending to the right of the central section 102. The right section 110 includes two right arms 112, 114 with a substantially U-shaped right space 116 between the two right arms 112, 114 for accommodating the face of the user sleeping on the attachment 100 in a lateral right position as shown in FIG. 5. Accordingly, when the user sleeps in the lateral right position, the face of the user does not press against the pillow on which the user sleeps. Similarly, the pillow attachment 100 includes a left section 118 extending to the left of the central section 102. The left section 118 includes two left arms 120, 122 with a substantially U-shaped left space 124 between the two left arms 120, 122 for accommodating the face of the user sleeping on the attachment 100 in a lateral left position. Accordingly, when the user sleeps in the lateral left position, the face of the user does not press against the pillow on which the user sleeps. Both of the pairs of the two right arms 112, 114 and the two left arms 120, 122 slope slightly upwards extending from the central section 106 and then slope downwards. The shape of the arms provide support and assist to maintain the natural face position of the user while sleeping laterally. The central section 102, the right section 110, and the left section 118 combined together, provide adequate support to the face and head of the user while maintaining natural movements during sleeping.

[0033] Each arm 112, 114, 120, 122 of the pillow attachment 100 includes a symmetrical shape and includes two edges. The edges 1120, 1140 forming the U-shaped right space 116 are smooth and can have a substantially arcuate shape, such that the chin of the user can be positioned correctly along the edge 1140. The edges 1122, 1142 have a slight convex protrusion 1124, 1144 respectively. Similarly, the edges 1200, 1220 forming the U-shaped left space 124 are smooth and can have a substantially arcuate shape such that the chin of the user can be positioned correctly along the edge 1220. The edges 1202, 1222 have a slight convex protrusion 1204, 1224 respectively. The right arms 112, 114 and the left arms 120, 122 can be made from pressure-relieving memory foam for optimal support and comfort.

[0034] The right arm 114 along the edge 1142 and the neck support 108 include a right shoulder section 126 therebetween. The right shoulder section 126 conforms to the shape and structure of a right shoulder of a user sleeping in a lateral right position. Similarly, the left arm 122 along the edge 1222 and the neck support 108 includes a left shoulder section 128 therebetween. The left shoulder section 128 conforms to the shape and structure of a left shoulder of the user sleeping in a lateral left position. As a user rolls and transitions from the supine position to any of the lateral left or right-side positions, the user's shoulder naturally falls comfortably into the appropriate shoulder section 126, 128, thereby maintaining proper cervical alignment and support.

[0035] In the present embodiment, the central section 106 can include cooling flow channels for increasing the breathability and air flow to prevent sweating. Further, the central section 106 also includes embedded cooling gel that acts as a temperature regulator, by pulling away heat from the face and head of the user. Using the pillow attachment 100 in any of the aforementioned sleeping positions, prohibits the facial skin from being pressed against the pillow and thus prohibits wrinkles from being formed and helps in preventing skin aging. Further, the pillow attachment 100 provides an effective natural acne treatment. The pillow attachment 100 is designed to support the face and skin of the user, thereby isolating same from stress and pressure which prevents continuous and repeated pressure on the facial skin.

[0036] The height of the central section 106 is in the range of generally from about 2 inches to about 6 inches. The height of the side sections 110, 118 is in the range generally from about 3 inches to about 7 inches, and extends between the convex protrusions 1124, 1144 on the right-side section 110, and extends between the convex protrusions 1204, 1224 on the left-side section 118. The dimensions of the central section 106 can be in the range of 6 to 10 inches in length, and in the range of 4 to 8 inches in width. The central section 106, made from a combination of bamboo and copper along with memory foam and natural fibers, helps in preventing hair fall as well. A slight concave recess in the central section 106 secures the head 302 of the user 300 and does not allow the user's head 302 to roll sideways.

[0039] FIG. 4 illustrates a perspective view of the user 300 sleeping in a prone position with the face 312 resting on the central section 106 of the pillow attachment 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The pillow attachment 100 is an anti-aging pillow attachment, as it is designed to relieve strain on the face 312 of the user 300. The attachment 100 prevents the pillow or bedding 200 from exerting pressure on the side 314 of the face 312 of the user 300. As stated, the central section 106 can be made from a combination of bamboo and copper along with memory foam and natural fibers. Copper is a well-known essential mineral with skin-enhancing properties and is naturally found in human skin. Further, copper is known to play an important role in the skin's renewal process and is also clinically proven to promote the natural growth of proteins in the skin. Further, the contour of the central section 106 maintains the user's face 312 in a desired orientation on the pillow attachment 100, so as to maintain the anti-wrinkling effect over the course of sleeping events while using the pillow attachment 100. To sleep in a prone position, the attachment 100 can be used in a position where the neck of the user 300 rests on the neck support 108, or the attachment 100 can be used sideways with the shoulders resting on either the right-side section 110 or the left-side section 118. As shown, the user 300 lies on attachment 100 along the right-side section 110, with the side 314 of the face 312 resting on the central section 106. The U-shaped right space 116 is used for supporting the neck 306 of the user 300 and the right arms 112, 114 support the left shoulder 310 and the right shoulder 308, respectively, of the user 300.

The present embodiment is explained with the right lateral side position of a user 300 using the right-side section 110 as an example. The same disclosure is applied when the user 300 sleeps in the left lateral side position using the left-side section 118. When the user 300 sleeps in the right lateral side position 502, the right shoulder 308 is comfortably positioned in the right shoulder section 126. The chin 316 of the user 300 is supported by the edge 1140 of the right arm 114. The face 312 is partially supported by the central portion 106, and is partially supported by the right arm 112 such that the face 312 is positioned on the U-shaped right space 116, and does not press against the pillow 200. This helps in preventing sleep wrinkles while providing a safe, sound and deep sleep to the user. The neck 306 is supported by the right arm 114 and the central portion 106.

[0041] FIG. 6 illustrates a perspective view showing the pillow attachment 100 inserted into an optional pillowcase 600 in accordance with the disclosed architecture. As per the preferences of the users, the attachment 100 comes with an optional pillowcase 600 that includes an opening 602 through which the attachment 100 can be inserted. The pillowcase 600 can be made from a soft material such as silk. The pillowcase 600 is used for securing and enclosing the attachment 100 for the users who like to sleep on a silk pillowcase. The silk pillowcase advantageously improves hair, skin and quality of sleep of the user.

[0042] FIG. 7 illustrates a perspective view of another embodiment of the pillow attachment of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The pillow of the present invention is available in sizes small, medium and large, depending on the size of the user's neck height. Further, the height of the central section, right-side section, and the left-side section can be designed to support the user. Accordingly, the pillow add-on 700 of the present embodiment includes larger dimensions and height. The design of the pillow add-on 700 is the same as of the pillow attachment 100, described supra, in various other embodiments of the present invention.

[0043] In one embodiment, the device 100 is comprised of a pillowcase 800 configured to enclose a conventional or ergonomic pillow 802, as seen in FIG. 8. The pillowcase 800 may include at least one closure fastener 804, such as but not limited to any combination of a zipper, hook-and-loop fastener, buttoned flap, or magnetic closure, for securing the pillowcase 800 around a pillow 802. The closure fastener 804 may be positioned along any area of the pillowcase 800 such as but not limited to an edge or rear portion of the pillowcase 800 to facilitate insertion and removal of the pillow 802 from the same.

[0044] The pillowcase 800 may be comprised of a soft, breathable material such as but not limited to any combination of cotton, bamboo fiber, silk, or any combination thereof. Surfaces 806 of the pillowcase 800 such as but not limited to the outer and/or inner surfaces may be coated or treated with one or more skin-enhancing or functional coatings 808, as seen in FIG. 9. In one embodiment, the coating 808 is a copper-infused coating to promote skin health and support collagen production. In another embodiment, coating 808 is an antimicrobial and/or antibacterial coating such as but not limited to any combination of silver ions or zinc oxide to inhibit microbial growth and reduce acne-causing bacteria. Additional coatings 808 may include but are not limited to any combination of hypoallergenic finishes, anti-static agents, moisture-wicking treatments, and cooling-phase change materials to enhance user comfort and hygiene during sleep.

[0045] The pillowcase 800 is further comprised of a plurality of receiving pockets 810 configured to accept one or more foam inserts 812, as seen in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9. The foam inserts 812 may be comprised of any material such as but not limited to any combination of memory foam, polyurethane foam, gel-infused foam, or other pressure-relieving materials. The inserts 812 may be formed in various geometries such as but not limited to any combination of rectangular, wedge-shaped, angled, or contoured. In one embodiment, one or more foam inserts 812 may include a top surface 814 that is angled between 1 and 179 degrees relative to horizontal axis of the pillow 802 and/or pillowcase 800. The angled top surface 814 may be configured to adjust cranial or cervical positioning to achieve desired effects, redistribute localized pressure, or enhance ergonomic contouring depending on the specific orientation and placement of the insert within the corresponding receiving pocket.

[0046] In one preferred embodiment, the pillowcase 800 may be comprised of two lateral left pockets 810 and two lateral right pockets 810 positioned symmetrically on opposite sides of the pillowcase 800, as seen in FIG. 9. The lateral pockets 810 may be configured to receive foam inserts 812 in a manner (as seen in FIG. 8) that promotes cranial elevation wherein the head of the user is positioned above the neck of the user, thereby assisting in reducing morning facial puffiness and pressure-induced wrinkling. The elevation of the head relative to the neck may further contribute to maintaining neutral cervical curvature during supine or lateral sleeping positions. Specifically, the right-side inserts 812 may be configured to reduce pressure on the face of the user when the user is in a right lateral sleeping position by supporting the facial and cervical regions. Similarly, the left-side inserts 812 may be configured to reduce pressure on the face of the user when the user is in a left lateral sleeping position by supporting the facial and cervical regions.

[0047] The top two pockets 810 of the pillowcase 800 may be positioned at an angle to create a slight elevation of the face, thereby preventing excessive facial compression. This angular elevation may function to maintain the integrity of delicate facial lymphatic vessels during sleep. Such lymphatic vessels in the facial region are small and susceptible to compression. When compressed by a conventional flat pillow surface, these vessels may partially collapse or narrow, leading to reduced lymphatic drainage and a buildup of interstitial fluid within the facial tissues. This effect may manifest as puffiness upon waking. Elevating the face using angled foam inserts 812 housed within the top pockets 810 may alleviate such compression, allowing the lymphatic vessels to reopen and restoring normal lymphatic outflow. As a result, facial puffiness commonly observed after prolonged facial compression during sleep may be diminished. This structure also assists in the prevention of sleep-induced facial wrinkles by minimizing prolonged direct pressure on the facial dermis.

[0048] Additionally, a lower central pocket 815 may be located along the bottom portion of the pillowcase 800, as seen in FIG. 9, oriented to support the cervical region of the user. The lower central pocket 815 may be configured to receive two half-cylindrical neck pillows 816, although the neck pillows 816 may be any size, shape and configuration. The neck pillows 816 may be arranged in parallel or adjacent configuration to contour the natural curvature of the user's neck and to provide elevated and targeted cervical support. The lower central pocket 815 and pillows 816 may be positioned and structured to create a downward slope extending from the central region of the pillowcase 800 toward the neck region of the user, thereby replicating the sloping neck support described in earlier embodiments. This slope supports the neck and a portion of the shoulders of the user, helping to maintain neutral cervical alignment and spinal posture.

[0049] In another embodiment, the pillowcase 800 is comprised of a higher central pocket 830 that may be configured to receive a foam insert 832 made of the same material as the foam inserts 812 and/or neck pillow 816, and may provide a raised surface that elevates the head slightly for breathing purposes. The insert 832 may be any type of raised and/or sloped geometry that may form an angle between 1 and 89 degrees relative to horizontal axis of the pillow 802 and/or pillowcase 800.

[0050] In one embodiment, the foam inserts 812,832 and pillows 816 may be permanently affixed within the respective pockets 810,830,815 via a sealed stitch 818, thereby securing the inserts in a fixed position for consistent support and alignment. In another embodiment, the foam inserts 812,832 and pillows 816 may be removable from the pockets 810,830,815 to allow for user customization, laundering, or replacement. In such embodiments, the pockets 810,830,815 may include a pocket fastener 820, such as but not limited to any combination of a zipper, button closure, snap fastener, hook-and-loop mechanism, or magnetic flap, to allow selective opening and closure of the pockets for insert access.

[0051] As a result, this embodiment provides an anti-aging sleep surface on an existing pillow 802 that prevents prolonged facial compression during sleep. By elevating the head relative to the neck and supporting the cervical spine, this embodiment minimizes wrinkle formation, promotes proper cranial and spinal alignment, and enhances overall sleep quality.
