2. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the bottom portion accommodates greater amount of adhesive therein than the mid portion of the bottle.
3. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the top portion cross-section is greater than the mid portion cross-section.
4. The bottle according to claim 3 wherein the bottom portion cross-section is approximately the same as the top portion cross-section.
5. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the top portion cross-section is greater than the mid portion cross-section.
6. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the bottom portion with increased bottom portion cross-section extends in the longitudinal direction.
7. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the bottom portion with increased bottom portion cross-section extends in the longitudinal direction approximately the same distance as the top portion with increased top portion cross-section.
8. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein each side extends substantially straight in the longitudinal direction; and wherein each side indent has a concave profile.
9. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the bottom portion with increased bottom portion cross-section extends in the longitudinal direction different distance as the top portion with increased top portion cross-section.
10. The bottle according to claim 1 wherein the top portion includes a textured top portion outer surface to allow gripping surface.
11. The bottle according to claim 10 wherein the textured top portion outer surface is knurled.
12. The bottle according to claim 1, wherein the bottom portion, mid portion and top portion each have a bottom portion cross-section, a mid portion cross-section and a top portion cross-section, respectively; and wherein the bottom portion cross-section is greater than the mid portion cross-section to provide stability to the bottle.
13. A bottle for dispensing adhesives comprising: a bottle body having an inner volume to accommodate adhesive therein and including a bottom portion, a mid portion and a top portion extending from a bottom surface of the bottle body to a shoulder surface of the bottle body in a longitudinal direction; and a neck portion extending from the shoulder surface of the bottle body having an opening for dispensing the adhesive from the bottle; wherein a bottle wall of the bottle body has approximately the same thickness throughout the bottom portion, the mid portion and the top portion; and wherein the bottle includes sides with each side having a side indent to allow improved squeezing of the bottle.
14. The bottle according to claim 13 wherein the textured top portion outer surface is knurled.
15. The bottle according to claim 13, wherein the bottom portion, mid portion and top portion each have a bottom portion cross-section, a mid portion cross-section and a top portion cross-section, respectively; and wherein the top portion cross-section is greater than the mid portion cross-section and includes a textured surface for improved grip to remove a top from the bottle.
16. A bottle for dispensing adhesives comprising: a bottle body having an inner volume to accommodate adhesive therein and including a bottom portion, a mid portion and a top portion extending from a bottom surface of the bottle body to a shoulder surface of the bottle body in a longitudinal direction; and a neck portion extending from the shoulder surface of the bottle body having an opening for dispensing the adhesive from the bottle and threading for accommodating a cap or a pump; wherein the bottom portion, mid portion and top portion each have a bottom portion cross-section, a mid portion cross-section and a top portion cross-section, respectively; wherein the bottom portion cross-section is greater than the mid portion cross-section;. wherein the top portion cross-section is greater than the mid portion cross-section; wherein the bottom portion cross-section and the top portion cross-section are about equal; and wherein the top portion extends a greater distance in the longitudinal direction than the bottom portion.
17. The bottle according to claim 16 wherein the textured top portion outer surface is knurled.
18. The bottle according to claim 16 wherein the bottle includes sides with each side having a side indent to allow improved squeezing of the bottle.
19. The bottle according to claim 16 wherein the top portion cross-section includes a textured top portion outer surface.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0055] Referring to
[0056] The bottom portion 18, mid portion 20 and top portion 22 each have a bottom portion cross-section 38, a mid portion cross-section 40 and a top portion cross-section 42, respectively, and each portion 18, 20, 22 extends in the longitudinal direction 30, as shown in
[0057] The bottle body 12 includes a bottle wall 44 forming the bottle body 12, as best seen in
[0058] Referring to
[0059] In accordance with some embodiments, the bottom portion 18 and the top portion 22 extend approximately the same amount, as seen in
[0060] Referring to
[0061] In operation, the bottle 10 is filled with substance 11, such as adhesive, for example. As the substance 11 fills the inner volume 14 of the bottle 10, the greater bottom portion cross-section 38 allows more substance 11 to be accommodated in the bottom portion 18 of the bottle 10, thereby making the bottle 10 heavier and more stable when placed on a surface. Additionally, the gripping surface 46 allows the user to obtain a better grip of the bottle when removing the cap to replace with a pump or vice versa. The texturing of the gripping surface 46 minimizes slipping when the user is holding the bottle 11 and unscrewing the cap or pump therefrom.
[0062] One advantage of the bottle 10 is that the bottom portion 18 provides additional stability to the bottle 11. Such stability is particularly desired when the bottle is used with a dispensing pump, which may be relatively heavy and especially heavier proportionally when placed on a smaller sized bottle shown in
[0063] Another advantage of the bottle 10 is that the gripping surface 46 provides gripping means for the user when either the cap or dispensing pump need to be unscrewed from the bottle and replaced with the other. Such additional gripping is particularly desired after the bottle with adhesive has been used and adhesive may have potentially dripped on the threading 36 binding the pump or cap to the neck portion 32 of the bottle 10.
[0064] A further advantage of the bottle 10 is that the indented sides 52, 54 provide additional squeezing assistance and allow the bottle 10 to flex more easily to expel the adhesive 11 therefrom.
[0065] Additionally, while the principles of the present disclosure have been described herein, it is to be understood by those skilled in the art that this description is made only by way of example and not as a limitation as to the scope of the disclosure. Other embodiments are contemplated within the scope of the present disclosure in addition to the exemplary embodiments shown and described herein. Modifications and substitutions by one of ordinary skill in the art are considered to be within the scope of the present disclosure.
