Abstract

A ventilation device includes: a lid configured to open and close a ventilation port, a drive mechanism configured to displace the lid between an opening position and a closing position; a sealing member located between the base portion and the lid and surrounding the ventilation port; and a pressing portion configured to press the lid toward the base portion.

Claims

1. A ventilation device comprising: a base portion having a ventilation port for allowing an inside and an outside of a container body to communicate with each other; a lid configured to open and close the ventilation port; a drive mechanism configured to displace the lid between an opening position and a closing position; a sealing member located between the base portion and the lid and surrounding the ventilation port; and a pressing portion configured to press the lid toward the base portion.

2. The ventilation device of claim 1, wherein the pressing portion is provided in the drive mechanism.

3. The ventilation device of claim 2, wherein the drive mechanism includes a drive source and a drive shaft driven by the drive source, and the pressing portion includes a spring provided along the drive shaft.

4. The ventilation device of claim 1, wherein a raised portion projecting toward the sealing member is provided between the lid and the base portion.

5. The ventilation device of claim 4, wherein the pressing portion is configured to press a center part of the lid toward the base portion, and a projecting height of the raised portion increases from the center part of the lid toward an outer edge of the lid.

6. The ventilation device of claim 1, wherein the drive mechanism is configured to move the lid in a first direction so as to adjust a distance between the lid and the base portion.

7. The ventilation device of claim 6, wherein the lid has an opening, and the drive mechanism is configured to rotate the lid so as to adjust an overlapping area of the opening and the ventilation port.

8. The ventilation device of claim 7, wherein the drive mechanism includes a drive source and a drive shaft rotationally driven by the drive source, and the drive mechanism is configured to allow the lid to perform a rotating motion in which the lid rotates while the drive shaft rotates and configured to allow the lid to perform a reciprocating motion in which the lid reciprocates in the first direction while the drive shaft rotates.

9. The ventilation device of claim 8, wherein the drive mechanism includes a rod coupled with one of the drive shaft and the lid and a cam mechanism coupled with the other one of the drive shaft and the lid and having a contact surface which the rod comes into contact with, and the contact surface includes a first transmission portion that transmits a rotational force of the drive shaft to the lid in order to allow the lid to perform the rotating motion and a second transmission portion that transmits the rotational force of the drive shaft to the lid in order to allow the lid to perform the reciprocating motion.

10. The ventilation device of claim 9, further comprising: a low-friction portion configured to reduce a friction force between the rod and the contact surface of the cam mechanism.

11. The ventilation device of claim 9, wherein the rod includes three or more rods coupled with the drive shaft.

12. The ventilation device of claim 7, wherein the drive mechanism is configured to perform a first operation to move the lid from a first position to compress the sealing member to a second position more distant from the base portion than the first position, and a second operation to rotate the lid to a predetermined rotational angle while maintaining the lid at the second position after the first operation.

13. The ventilation device of claim 12, wherein after the second operation, the drive mechanism is configured to perform a third operation to move the lid to the first position while maintaining the lid at the predetermined rotational angle.

14. The ventilation device of claim 13, wherein the predetermined rotational angle includes a first rotational angle at which an entire part of the ventilation port is closed by the lid.

15. The ventilation device of claim 7, further comprising: a control unit configured to control the drive mechanism to bring a rotational angle of the lid to a set target value.

16. The ventilation device of claim 1, further comprising: a refrigerant leakage sensor configured to detect leakage of a refrigerant; and a control unit configured to control the drive mechanism to turn the lid to a closing position when the refrigerant leakage sensor detects leakage of the refrigerant.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

[0025] An embodiment of the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. The present disclosure is not limited to the embodiment shown below, and various changes can be made within the scope without departing from the technical concept of the present disclosure. Since each of the drawings is intended to illustrate the present disclosure conceptually, dimensions, ratios, or numbers may be exaggerated or simplified as necessary for ease of understanding.

(1) OVERALL CONFIGURATION OF CONTAINER

[0026] A ventilation device (40) is applied to a container (1). An overall configuration of the container (1) of this embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. In the following description, the terms for directions such as front, back, right, left, top, and bottom refer to the directions of the arrows in FIG. 1.

[0027] The container (1) is used for marine transportation. The container (1) is a refrigeration container that cools the inside air. The container (1) includes a container body (2) and a container refrigeration apparatus (10). The container body (2) stores stuff such as foods and plants. The container refrigeration apparatus (10) cools an internal space (3) inside the container body (2). As shown in FIG. 2, the container body (2) includes a front surface on which a front opening (4) is formed. The container refrigeration apparatus (10) is attached to the container body (2) so as to close the front opening (4) of the container body (2).

(2) CONTAINER REFRIGERATION APPARATUS

[0028] The container refrigeration apparatus (10) includes a casing (11). The casing (11) forms the lid of the front opening (4) of the container body (2). The casing (11) includes a casing body (12) and a partition plate (13). The casing body (12) separates the internal space (3) and an external space (5) that is outside the container body (2). The partition plate (13) is located on the back side (the rear side) of the casing (11).

[0029] The container refrigeration apparatus (10) includes a compressor (25), an external heat exchanger (26), and an external fan (27) as external devices. The container refrigeration apparatus (10) includes an internal heat exchanger (29) and an internal fan (30) as internal devices.

(2-1) Casing Body

[0030] As shown in FIG. 2, the casing body (12) includes a flat plate portion (12a) and a recessed portion (12b). The flat plate portion (12a) is an upper part of the casing body (12) that is substantially flush with the front opening (4) of the casing (11). As shown in FIG. 1, the flat plate portion (12a) is provided with an inspection window (22) and the ventilation device (40). The inspection window (22) is disposed in a right part of the flat plate portion (12a). The ventilation device (40) is disposed in a left part of the flat plate portion (12a). The inspection window (22) is a transparent window that allows inspection of the inside of the casing body (12). The ventilation device (40) ventilates the internal space (3).

[0031] The recessed portion (12b) is a lower part of the casing (11). The recessed portion (12b) is recessed backward from the lower end of the flat plate portion (12a). An external storage space (14) is formed in front of the recessed portion (12b). An internal storage space (15) is formed above the recessed portion (12b) and between the flat plate portion (12a) and the partition plate (13). The lower end of the recessed portion (12b) forms a bottom plate (12c). The bottom plate (12c) extends between the right and left ends of the casing body (12).

[0032] The casing body (12) includes an external casing (16), a heat insulating layer (17), and an internal casing (18), which are stacked in the thickness direction (the front-back direction). The external casing (16) faces the external space (5). The internal casing (18) faces the internal space. The heat insulating layer (17) is provided between the external casing (16) and the internal casing (18). The external casing (16) is made of an aluminum material. The internal casing (18) is made of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP). The heat insulating layer (17) is made of a foamed resin.

(2-2) Partition Plate and Air Passage

[0033] As shown in FIG. 2, the partition plate (13) is a plate member behind the recessed portion (12b). The partition plate (13) extends in the top-bottom direction while being located at a predetermined distance away from the back surface of the recessed portion (12b). An internal passage (19) through which the inside air flows is formed between the casing body (12) and the partition plate (13). An inflow port (20) is formed between the upper end of the partition plate (13) and the upper wall (2a) of the container body (2). The inflow port (20) allows the internal space (3) and the inflow end of the internal passage (19) to communicate with each other. An outflow port (21) is formed between the lower end of the partition plate (13) and the lower wall (2b) of the container body (2). The outflow port (21) allows the internal space (3) and the outflow end of the internal passage (19) to communicate with each other.

(2-3) Components in External Space

[0034] The external storage space (14) accommodates the compressor (25), the external heat exchanger (26), and the external fan (27). The compressor (25) is installed on the bottom plate (12c) of the casing (11). The compressor (25) is located in a lower part of the external storage space (14). The compressor (25) is located in a right part of the external storage space (14).

[0035] The external fan (27) is located in an upper part of the external storage space (14). The external fan (27) is a propeller fan. As shown in FIG. 2, an external passage (28) through which the external air flows is formed behind the external fan (27).

[0036] In the external storage space (14), the external heat exchanger (26) is located at the level between the external fan (27) and the compressor (25). The external heat exchanger (26) is located in the external passage (28). The external heat exchanger (26) is a fin-and-tube heat exchanger.

(2-4) Components of Internal Space

[0037] The internal storage space (15) accommodates the internal heat exchanger (29) and the internal fan (30). The internal heat exchanger (29) is supported by the casing (11) so as to extend between the casing body (12) and the partition plate (13). The internal heat exchanger (29) is a fin-and-tube heat exchanger.

(2-5) Refrigerant Circuit

[0038] As shown in FIG. 3, the container refrigeration apparatus (10) includes a refrigerant circuit (R). The refrigerant circuit (R) is filled with a refrigerant. The refrigerant circulates in the refrigerant circuit (R) to create a vapor compression refrigeration cycle.

[0039] The density of the refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit (R) is higher than that of air. The refrigerant in this example is carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2), which is a natural refrigerant. The natural refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential of zero and a low global warming potential, and has a small impact on the environment. The refrigerant may be propane (R290), ammonia (R717), methane (R50), ethane (R170), butane (R600), or isobutane (R600a). The refrigerant may be difluoromethane (R32), 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf), or 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234ze). The refrigerant may be a single component refrigerant or may be a refrigerant mixture mixed with another refrigerant. The mixed refrigerant may be a refrigerant composed of two types of substances: 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf) and difluoromethane (R32). The mixed refrigerant may be a refrigerant (R454C) composed of two types of substances: 78.5 wt % of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf) and 21.5 wt % of difluoromethane (R32).

[0040] The refrigerant circuit (R) includes, as main components, the compressor (25), the external heat exchanger (26), an expansion valve (31), and the internal heat exchanger (29).

[0041] The compressor (25) compresses a sucked refrigerant. The compressor (25) discharges a compressed refrigerant. The discharge portion of the compressor (25) is connected with a discharge pipe (32). The suction portion of the compressor (25) is connected with a suction pipe (33). The external heat exchanger (26) functions as a radiator (condenser) through which the refrigerant dissipates heat to the air.

The receiver (36) is a container that stores an excessive refrigerant of the refrigerant circuit (R).

The gas end of the internal heat exchanger (29) communicates with the suction pipe (33). The internal heat exchanger (29) functions as an evaporator through which the refrigerant absorbs heat from the air.

The inflow end of the bypass pipe (37) communicates with the discharge pipe (32), and the outflow end of the bypass pipe (37) communicates with the liquid pipe (35). The bypass pipe (37) sends the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (25) to the internal heat exchanger (29) by allowing the refrigerant to bypass the external heat exchanger (26).

(2-6) Operation

[0047] The container refrigeration apparatus (10) performs a cooling operation and a defrosting operation.

[0048] When the cooling operation is performed, the refrigeration cycle is created in which the refrigerant compressed in the compressor (25) is condensed in the external heat exchanger (26), then decompressed in the expansion valve (31), and then evaporated in the internal heat exchanger (29). The air having flowed out from the internal space (3) to the internal passage (19) is cooled by the internal heat exchanger (29) that functions as an evaporator. The cooled air is sent to the internal space (3).

[0049] When the defrosting operation is performed, the refrigerant compressed in the compressor (25) flows through the bypass pipe (37) and then flows through the internal heat exchanger (29). The frost on the surface of the internal heat exchanger (29) is melted by the heat of the refrigerant flowing through the inside of the internal heat exchanger (29).

(3) VENTILATION DEVICE

[0050] The ventilation device (40) will be described in detail below. In the following description, the axial direction refers to the direction in which the axis (X) of the drive shaft (72) extends. The circumferential direction refers to the direction in which the drive shaft (72) rotates. The radial direction refers to the direction in which the axis (X) of the drive shaft (72) is connected with the outer circumferential surface of the drive shaft (72).

(3-1) Overall Configuration

[0051] The ventilation device (40) shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 is a container ventilation device that ventilates the internal space (3) of the container body (2). The ventilation device (40) of this embodiment has a supply function of supplying the outside air from the outdoor to the internal space (3) and an exhaust function of discharging the inside air to the external space (5).

[0052] As shown in FIG. 2, the ventilation device (40) is provided in a ventilation mounting opening (6) formed in the front surface of the casing body (12). The ventilation mounting opening (6) penetrates through the casing body (12) in the front-back direction. (3-2) Ventilation Case

[0055] The ventilation case (41) houses the drive mechanism (70), the supply duct (45), and the exhaust duct (46). The ventilation case (41) includes a frame body (41a) that is shaped in a rectangular tube, a side plate (41b) that closes a back opening of the frame body (41a), and a flange (41c) that extends radially outward from the front edge of the frame body (41a). The frame body (41a) is embedded in the heat insulating layer (17). The side plate (41b) is shaped in a rectangular plate. A case-side supply opening (42) is formed in an upper part of the side plate (41b). A case-side exhaust opening (43) is formed in a lower part of the side plate (41b). The case-side supply opening (42) and the case-side exhaust opening (43) have a rectangular shape that is elongate in the right-left direction.

[0056] The case-side supply opening (42) is part of the supply passage (P1). The case-side supply opening (42) is open toward the primary side (the upstream side) of the internal fan (30) in the internal passage (19). The case-side exhaust opening (43) is part of the exhaust passage (P2). (3-3) Supply Duct and Exhaust Duct

The supply duct (45) and the exhaust duct (46) are housed in the ventilation case (41). The cross sections of the supply duct (45) and the exhaust duct (46) become smaller toward the front side. The supply duct (45) is attached to the side plate (41b) so as to be connected to the case-side supply opening (42). The exhaust duct (46) is attached to the side plate (41b) so as to be connected to the case-side exhaust opening (43).

(3-4) Base Portion

[0059] The base portion (47) closes the front opening portion of the ventilation case (41). The base portion (47) faces the external space (5) and is part of the external casing (16). The base portion (47) is made of an aluminum material. The base portion (47) includes a substrate (47a) shaped in a rectangular plate and a circular base-side recessed portion (47b) recessed backward from a center part of the substrate (47a). The substrate (47a) is fastened to the flange (41c) of the ventilation case (41). The substrate (47a) is exposed to the external space (5).

A supply port (48) and an exhaust port (49) are formed on the back part of, i.e., the bottom part of the base-side recessed portion (47b). The supply port (48) and the exhaust port (49) are opposite to each other while sandwiching the axis (X).

The edge forming member (50) includes a tubular boss portion (51) fitted into the first insertion hole (47c) and an edge forming plate (52) extending radially outward from the front end of the boss portion (51). In this embodiment, the edge forming member (50) is fixed to the base portion (47).

[0064] The edge forming plate (52) includes a disk portion (52a) and a first extension portion (52b) and a second extension portion (52c) that extend radially outward from the disk portion (52a). The disk portion (52a) is formed in a center part of the edge forming plate (52). As viewed in the axial direction, the disk portion (52a) is in a circular shape, and the first extension portion (52b) and the second extension portion (52c) are substantially in a fan shape or an arc shape. (3-6) Lid

The lid (60) opens and closes the supply port (48) and the exhaust port (49) as ventilation ports. The lid (60) has a disk shape of which the center is the axis (X). The lid (60) is driven by the drive mechanism (70) to perform a rotating motion and a reciprocating motion. In the rotating motion, the lid (60) rotates about the axis (X). In the reciprocating motion, the lid (60) moves in the axial direction along the axis (X). The lid (60) is made of an aluminum material, for example.

(3-7) Packing

[0070] The packing (65) is disposed in the base-side recessed portion (47b). The packing (65) is located between the base portion (47) and the lid (60) and surrounding the supply port (48) and the exhaust port (49) as ventilation ports. More precisely, the packing (65) is located between the lid (60) and the edge forming plate (52) and surrounds the supply communication port (53) and the exhaust communication port (54). The packing (65) seals the gap between the lid (60) and the base portion (47). The sealing member (65) reduces communication through a gap between the external space (5) and the internal space (3).
