    DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

[0053] Hereinafter, a configuration of a wristwatch 1000, a method of producing a cushion 200, and a method of producing the wristwatch 1000 will be described with reference to the drawings. In each of the following figures, three axes orthogonal to each other are referred to as an X axis, a Y axis, and a Z axis. A direction parallel to the X axis is referred to as an X direction, a direction parallel to the Y axis is referred to as a Y direction, and a direction parallel to the Z axis is referred to as a Z direction. An arrow direction is referred to as a + direction, and a direction opposite to the + direction is referred to as a direction. A view from the +Z direction is also referred to as a plan view or a planar view. In addition, in the present application, a watch including a band and a cushion are collectively referred to as a wristwatch.

[0054] First, as a first embodiment, a configuration of the wristwatch 1000 will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. FIG. 1 is a view showing a state in which a metal band watch 100A or a leather band watch 100B is stored and protected in the cushion 200. FIG. 2 is a view showing a state in which a part of the cushion 200 is opened in a wristwatch 1000A protecting the metal band watch 100A. FIG. 3 is a view showing a state in which a part of the cushion 200 is opened in a wristwatch 1000B protecting the leather band watch 100B.

[0055] As shown in FIG. 1, in the wristwatch 1000, multiple parts of the cushion 200 are folded, so that the watch 100 is protected by the cushion 200. The protection means to prevent the watch 100 from being damaged or deteriorating in appearance due to contact with external objects. It is not required to prevent damage to the watch 100 when an excessive force is applied. The wristwatch 1000 has the cushion 200 and either the metal band watch 100A or the leather band watch 100B.

[0056] The wristwatch 1000 illustrated in FIG. 1 is stored in, for example, a packaging box at the stage of being sold, and is sold in a state in which the aesthetic quality is high. That is, it is important that the watch 100 is protected when it is in the wristwatch 1000. Examples of the watch 100 include a mechanical watch, a quartz watch, and a smart watch. The watch 100 may be an analog watch or a digital watch.

[0057] As shown in FIG. 2, the wristwatch 1000A protects the metal band watch 100A. The metal band watch 100A has a case 102 and a metal band 103A which is an annular band connected to the case 102. Although the metal band 103A is particularly suitable in a case where the attachment and detachment is possible by using a plate spring, the present disclosure may be applied to a case where the attachment and detachment is possible by other methods. In the case of an analog watch, the case 102 houses, for example, a movement including a mainspring, in addition to a dial 101. In the case of a digital watch, the case 102 houses, for example, a liquid crystal panel, a battery, a processor, a memory, and the like. In the present application, the case 102 and components housed in the case 102 are collectively referred to as the case 102.

[0058] In the wristwatch 1000A, by opening a part of the cushion 200, specifically, fourth cushions 204, from the state shown in FIG. 1, the dial 101 and the case 102 of the metal band watch 100A stored inside can be seen as shown in FIG. 2.

[0059] As shown in FIG. 3, the wristwatch 1000B protects the leather band watch 100B. The leather band watch 100B has a case 102 and a leather band 103B which is a flat band connected to the case 102. The leather band is made of a leather material. The leather band 103B has a first band 103B1 connected to one end of the case 102 and a second band 103B2 connected to the other end of the case 102. The leather band 103B is configured such that the first band 103B1 and the second band 103B2 can be connected and disconnected in a buckle manner, but may have a configuration in which the connection and disconnection are achieved by other methods.

[0060] In the wristwatch 1000B, by opening a part of the cushion 200, specifically, the fourth cushions 204, from the state shown FIG. 1, the dial 101 and the case 102 of the leather band watch 100B stored inside can be seen as shown in FIG. 3.

[0061] Next, the configuration of the cushion 200 of the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 4. A cut line 200c at the outer edge of the cushion 200 indicates the outer peripheral shape, that is, cut portions. A sewing line 200b on the inner side of the outer edge of the cushion 200 indicates sewn portions.

[0062] As shown in FIG. 4, the cushion 200 includes a first cushion 201, a second cushion 202, a third cushion 203, and the fourth cushions 204, and protects the metal band watch 100A. The first cushion 201 to the fourth cushions 204 are composed of a single-piece material. The material of the cushion 200 may be any material that has a cushioning property capable of protecting the watch 100. Here, as an example, a nonwoven fabric is used, but the material is not limited thereto.

[0063] The first cushion 201 is disposed in a space surrounded by the second cushion 202. To be specific, the first cushion 201 is connected to the second cushion 202 at a portion 201a of its end portion in a second direction, that is, the Y direction.

[0064] The first cushion 201 is longer in a first direction, that is, the X direction, than in the Y direction. For example, the portion in the +X direction and the portion in the X direction of the first cushion 201 are formed in substantially triangular shapes. In the case of the wristwatch 1000A, the first cushion 201 supports the inner side of the annular metal band 103A (see FIG. 7A).

[0065] The second cushion 202 is formed so as to surround the first cushion 201 and is connected to the portion 201a of the end portion of the first cushion 201 in the Y direction as described above. That is, the first cushion 201 is positioned in a frame shape of the second cushion 202. The second cushion 202 is longer in the X direction than in the Y direction. In the case of the wristwatch 1000A, the second cushion 202 surrounds the outer side of the annular metal band 103A (see FIG. 7B).

[0066] The third cushion 203 is connected to an end portion of the second cushion 202 in the Y direction. The third cushion 203 is longer in the X direction than in the Y direction.

[0067] The fourth cushions 204 include a fourth cushion 204A on one side and a fourth cushion 204B on the other side. The fourth cushion 204A on the one side is connected to an end portion of the third cushion 203 in the +X direction. The fourth cushion 204B on the other side is connected to an end portion of the third cushion 203 in the X direction.

[0068] In the case of the wristwatch 1000A, the case 102 is placed between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204 (see FIG. 7C). In addition, the metal band 103A is placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203 (see FIG. 7C).

[0069] As described above, since the case 102 and the metal band 103A are sandwiched and supported by using the cushion 200 including the first cushion 201 to the fourth cushions 204, it is possible to prevent the metal band watch 100A having the annular metal band 103A from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0070] In addition, in the case of the wristwatch 1000B, the first cushion 201 is placed between the first band 103B1 and a combination of the case 102 and the second band 103B2 (see FIG. 9A). In addition, the first band 103B1 is sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203. Further, the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204.

[0071] As described above, also in the case where a watch has the case 102 and the first band 103B1 and second band 103B2 made of leather, the case 102 and the bands 103B1 and 103B2 are sandwiched by using the first cushion 201 to the fourth cushions 204, and thus it is possible to prevent the watches 100A and 100B from being damaged or deteriorating. Further, since the bands 103B1 and 103B2 can be protected in a straightened state without being curled, it is possible to prevent a permanent bend of the bands 103B1 and 103B2. In general, it is strongly demanded to prevent a permanent bend of the leather band until the user actually wears the band, and this configuration can satisfy the demand.

[0072] A method of producing the cushion 200 will now be described with reference to FIG. 5.

[0073] As shown in FIG. 5, in step S11, masses of fibers are defibrated into a fiber material (defibration step). Specifically, for example, the cushion 200 is manufactured from used clothes which are masses of fibers. Used clothes are subjected to defibration in a dry defibration machine, resulting in individual fibers, from which the cushion 200 is manufactured. A so-called DFT (Dry Fiber Technology) is used for the manufacturing.

[0074] The dry defibration machine defibrates mill ends containing cotton, which will become a fiber material, in a dry manner to produce a defibrated material containing fibers. In the present embodiment, a defibration mechanism including rotary blades is used as the dry defibration machine. The defibration mechanism produces fibers by shredding and defibrating mill ends with the rotary blades. Entangled fibers contained in the mill ends are untangled by the dry defibration machine, and the mill ends become a fiber material.

[0075] Note that cotton is preferable because cotton does not easily damage the watches 100A and 100B when it comes into contact with the watches 100A and 100B and is environmentally friendly. The material is not limited to cotton, and various fibers such as hemp, silk, wool, a urethane material, and an acrylic material may be used. From the viewpoint of environmental contribution, it is preferable to use mill ends, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The cushion 200 may be manufactured by using raw cotton or used clothes.

[0076] In step S12, a binder is added to the fiber material, and then the fiber material is deposited to form a deposited material (deposition step). In particular, the fiber material and the binder are deposited by airflow and gravity by using a deposition mechanism to form the deposited material. A deposition belt having a plurality of holes is disposed below the deposition mechanism. A suction unit for sucking air is disposed below the deposition belt. Due to the suction of air by the suction unit, the fiber material and the binder are deposited on the deposition belt to form the deposited material. The deposited material contains a relatively large amount of air and is soft and swollen.

[0077] A suction belt for attracting the deposited material upward by suction is disposed next to the deposition belt. A plurality of holes are formed in the suction belt. A suction unit is disposed above the suction belt. A humidifying unit for moisturizing the deposited material is disposed below the suction belt. With this configuration, mist is supplied from below the deposited material to moisturizing the deposited material, and then the deposited material is compressed at a predetermined pressure and heated, whereby a cushion material 200a that will later become the cushion 200 is completed.

[0078] In step S13, sewing is performed along the shape of the cushion 200 (a production step, a sewing step). To be more specific, as shown in FIG. 4, the cushion material 200a which is substantially quadrangular is sewn along the sewing line 200b. Thus, the cushion material 200a sewn along the sewing line 200b is completed.

[0079] If the periphery of the cushion 200 is not sewn, there is a possibility that the cushion 200 frays at an end. The basis weight of the cushion 200 is preferably 300 g/m.sup.2 to 600 g/m.sup.2. The thickness of the cushion 200 is preferably 0.2 cm to 1.0 cm. The density of the cushion 200 is preferably 0.09 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.13 g/cm.sup.3. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0080] In step S14, the material is cut into the shape of the cushion 200 (a production step, a cutting step). To be more specific, as shown in FIG. 4, the cushion material 200a is cut along the cut line 200c positioned on the outer side of the sewing line 200b. Thus, the cushion 200 including the first cushion 201, the second cushion 202, the third cushion 203, and the fourth cushions 204 is completed. The first cushion 201 is cut so as to be longer in the first direction than in the second direction and to be connected to the second cushion 202 at the portion 201a of its end portion in the second direction.

[0081] As the cutting method, a cutter may be used, but laser cutting is preferable. By performing laser cutting, the periphery of the cushion 200 can be thermally fused and hardened, and the periphery of the cushion 200 can be prevented from fraying. Therefore, the aesthetic quality can be enhanced. In the case where at least one of the two materials, the fibers and the binder, is made of a material that is melted by heat, the laser-cut portion is once melted, and the periphery of the cushion 200 can be further hardened.

[0082] With reference to FIGS. 6 and 7A to 7E, a method of producing the wristwatch 1000A protecting the metal band watch 100A will now be described.

[0083] As shown in FIG. 6, in step S21, the cushion 200 is formed using the method of producing the cushion 200, shown in FIG. 5.

[0084] In step S22, the inner side of the loop of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A is supported. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7A, first, the cushion 200 of the present embodiment is prepared. Next, both end portions 201b of the first cushion 201 in the X direction are bent in the +Z direction. Thereafter, the first cushion 201 is fitted into the loop of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A. Thus, the loop of the metal band 103A is supported on its inner side by the first cushion 201.

[0085] In step S23, the outer side of the metal band 103A is supported. In step S24, the second cushion 202 is folded. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7B, the second cushion 202 is folded in a valley fold in plan view along the boundary with the third cushion 203. Thus, the outer side of the metal band 103A is supported by the third cushion 203. Further, the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A is fitted into the frame shape forming the boundary between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202, whereby the movement of the metal band 103A, that is, the metal band watch 100A is restricted. Further, since the frame shape forming the boundary between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 is not rectangular but is a shape the center of which is narrower, even if the width of a metal band 103A is different, the width of the metal band 103A matches somewhere in the frame shape, so that the movement of the metal band watch 100A can be further restricted.

[0086] In step S25, the fourth cushions 204 are folded in valley folds in plan view along the boundaries with the third cushion 203 to hold the case 102 of the metal band watch 100A. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 7C, the fourth cushions 204A and 204B are folded toward the second cushion 202. Thus, the case 102 is protected by the fourth cushions 204.

[0087] In step S26, slits 204A1 and 204B1 formed in the fourth cushions 204A and 204B are inserted into each other. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 7D, the slit 204A1 of the folded fourth cushion 204A and the slit 204B1 of the fourth cushion 204B are inserted into each other, and the fourth cushions 204A and 204B are fixed so as not to open. Thus, as shown in FIG. 7E, the wristwatch 1000A having a three dimensional structure in which the entire metal band watch 100A is protected by the folded cushion 200 is completed.

[0088] As described above, since the wristwatch 1000A is produced by using the cushion 200, it is possible to protect the metal band watch 100A with the metal band 103A in a loop shape.

[0089] Next, with reference to FIGS. 8 and 9A to 9D, a method of producing the wristwatch 1000B protecting the leather band watch 100B will be described.

[0090] As shown in FIG. 8, in step S31, the cushion 200 is formed using the method of producing the cushion 200, shown in FIG. 5.

[0091] In step S32, the first cushion 201 is sandwiched between the first band 103B1 connected to one end of the case 102 and a combination of the case 102 of the leather band watch 100B and the second band 103B2 connected to the other end of the case 102. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 9A, the first band 103B1 of the leather band watch 100B is inserted between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202.

[0092] Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 9B, the second cushion 202 is folded in a valley fold in plan view along the boundary with the third cushion 203. Thus, the first cushion 201 is sandwiched between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 and the second band 103B2. Further, the first band 103B1 is protected by the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203.

[0093] In step S33, the second band 103B2 is sandwiched. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 9C, the fourth cushions 204A and 204B are folded in valley folds in plan view along the boundaries with the third cushion 203. Thus, the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are protected by being sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204A and 204B.

[0094] In step S34, the slits 204A1 and 204B1 formed in the fourth cushions 204A and 204B are inserted into each other. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 9D, the slit 204A1 of the folded fourth cushion 204A and the slit 204B1 of the fourth cushion 204B are inserted into each other, and the fourth cushions 204A and 204B are fixed so as not to open. Thus, the wristwatch 1000B having a three dimensional structure in which the entire leather band watch 100B is protected by the folded cushion 200 is completed.

[0095] As described above, since the wristwatch 1000B is produced by using the cushion 200, the leather band watch 100B having the flat bands 103B1 and 103B2 can be protected.

[0096] Next, as a second embodiment, a configuration of another cushion 200A will be described with reference to FIG. 10. A line 200Ac at the outer edge of the cushion 200A indicates an outer peripheral shape, that is, cut portions. A line 200Ab on the inner side of the outer edge of the cushion 200A indicates sewn portions.

[0097] As shown in FIG. 10, the cushion 200A includes a first cushion 201, a second cushion 202, and a third cushion 203. The first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203 are composed of a single-piece material. The material of the cushion 200A is, for example, a nonwoven fabric.

[0098] The first cushion 201 is connected to the second cushion 202. Specifically, the first cushion 201 is connected to the second cushion 202 at its end portion in the second direction, that is, the Y direction.

[0099] The first cushion 201 is long in the first direction, that is, the X direction, than in the Y direction. Both end portions 201d1 and 201d2 of the first cushion 201 in the X direction have, for example, curved shapes so as to easily support the bands 103A and 103B of the watches 100A and 100B. In the case of a wristwatch 1000C, the first cushion 201 supports the inner side of the annular metal band 103A (see FIG. 11A).

[0100] As described above, the second cushion 202 is connected to an end portion of the first cushion 201 in the Y direction. The second cushion 202 is shorter in the X direction than in the Y direction. In the case of the wristwatch 1000C, the second cushion 202 supports the outer side of the annular metal band 103A (see FIG. 11B).

[0101] The third cushion 203 is connected to an end portion of the second cushion 202 in the X direction. The third cushion 203 is longer in the X direction than in the Y direction.

[0102] In the case of the wristwatch 1000C, the case 102 is placed between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 (see FIG. 11B). In addition, the metal band 103A is placed between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 (see FIG. 11B).

[0103] As described above, since the case 102 and the metal band 103A are sandwiched and supported by using the cushion 200A including the first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203, it is possible to prevent the metal band watch 100A having the annular metal band 103A from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0104] In addition, in the case of a wristwatch 1000D, the first cushion 201 is placed between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 and the second band 103B2 (see FIG. 12A). Further, the first band 103B1 is sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202.

[0105] Further, the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202.

[0106] As described above, also in the case where a watch has the case 102 and the first band 103B1 and second band 103B2 made of leather, the case 102 and the bands 103B1 and 103B2 are sandwiched by using the first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203, and thus it is possible to prevent the leather band watch 100B from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0107] With reference to FIGS. 11A to 11E, a method of producing the wristwatch 1000C protecting the metal band watch 100A will now be described.

[0108] In the step shown in FIG. 11A, the inner side of the loop of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A is supported. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 11A, first, the cushion 200A of the present embodiment is prepared. Next, the first cushion 201 is fitted into the loop of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A. Thus, the loop of the metal band 103A is supported on its inner side by the first cushion 201.

[0109] In the step shown in FIG. 11B, the first cushion 201 fitted into the loop of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A is folded toward the second cushion 202, to be specific, the second cushion 202A positioned in the +Y direction in the second cushion 202. Thus, the outer side of the metal band 103A is supported, that is, protected by the second cushion 202.

[0110] In the step shown in FIG. 11C, the second cushion 202B positioned in the Y direction in the second cushion 202 is folded toward the metal band watch 100A. Thus, the case 102 is sandwiched and protected by the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202.

[0111] In the step shown in FIG. 11D, the third cushion 203 is folded toward the metal band watch 100A, in other words, toward the second cushion 202 to protect the entire metal band watch 100A.

[0112] In the step shown in FIG. 11E, a distal end 203a of the third cushion 203 is, for example, engaged with the first cushion 201 to fix the third cushion 203 so as not to open. Thus, the wristwatch 1000C having a three dimensional structure in which the entire metal band watch 100A is protected by the folded cushion 200A is completed.

[0113] In this way, since the wristwatch 1000C is produced by using the cushion 200A, the metal band watch 100A having the metal band 103A in a loop shape can be protected.

[0114] A method of producing a wristwatch 1000D protecting the leather band watch 100B will now be described with reference to FIGS. 12A to 12C.

[0115] In the step shown in FIG. 12A, the first cushion 201 is sandwiched between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 of the leather band watch 100B and the second band 103B2. Thus, the first band 103B1 is sandwiched and protected by the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202.

[0116] In the step shown in FIG. 12B, the second cushion 202B positioned in the Y direction in the second cushion 202 is folded toward the leather band watch 100B. The case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched and protected by the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202.

[0117] In the step shown in FIG. 12C, the third cushion 203 is folded toward the leather band watch 100B, in other words, toward the second cushion 202 to protect the entire leather band watch 100B. Thereafter, the distal end 203a of the third cushion 203 is, for example, engaged with the first cushion 201 to fix the third cushion 203 so as not to open. Thus, the wristwatch 1000D having a three dimensional structure in which the entire leather band watch 100B is protected by the folded cushion 200A is completed.

[0118] As described above, since the wristwatch 1000D is produced by using the cushion 200A, it is possible to protect the leather band watch 100B having the flat first band 103B1 and second band 103B2.

[0119] Next, as a third embodiment, a configuration of another cushion 200B will be described with reference to FIG. 13. A line 200Bc at the outer edge of the cushion 200B indicates the outer peripheral shape, that is, cut portions. A line 200Bb on the inner side of the outer edge of the cushion 200B indicates sewn portions.

[0120] As shown in FIG. 13, the cushion 200B includes a first cushion 201, a second cushion 202, a third cushion 203, and a bridge cushion 205. The first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203 and the bridge cushion 205 are composed of a single-piece material. The material of the cushion 200 is, for example, a nonwoven fabric.

[0121] The first cushion 201 is connected to the second cushion 202 with the bridge cushion 205 in between. To be specific, the first cushion 201 is connected to the bridge cushion 205 at a portion 201a of its end portion in the second direction, that is, the Y direction. The first cushion 201 has a protruding portion on the side opposite to the bridge cushion 205. The protruding portion is a portion extending in the X direction.

[0122] The first cushion 201 is longer in the first direction, that is, the X direction, than in the Y direction. In the case of a wristwatch 1000E, the first cushion 201 supports the inner side of the annular metal band 103A (see FIG. 14C).

[0123] As described above, the bridge cushion 205 is connected to the portion 201a of the end portion of the first cushion 201 in the Y direction. In addition, the bridge cushion 205 is connected to the second cushion 202 at its end portion in the Y direction. The bridge cushion 205 is used to provide a space between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202. The bridge cushion 205 allows for better retention of the metal band 103A and provides a cleaner view of the wristwatches 1000E and 1000F when the cushion 200B is folded.

[0124] As described above, a portion 202a of the end portion of the second cushion 202 in the +Y direction is connected to the bridge cushion 205. The second cushion 202 is longer in the X direction than in the Y direction. In the case of the wristwatch 1000E, the second cushion 202 supports the outer side of the annular metal band 103A (see FIG. 14C).

[0125] The third cushion 203 is connected to an end portion of the second cushion 202 in the +X direction. The third cushion 203 is longer in the X direction than in the Y direction.

[0126] In the case of the wristwatch 1000E, the case 102 is placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203 (see FIG. 14E). In addition, the metal band 103A is placed between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 (see FIG. 14E).

[0127] As described above, since the case 102 and the metal band 103A are sandwiched and supported by using the cushion 200B including the first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203 and the bridge cushion 205, it is possible to prevent the metal band watch 100A having the annular metal band 103A from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0128] In addition, in the case of the wristwatch 1000F, the first cushion 201 is placed between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 and the second band 103B2 (see FIG. 15B). In addition, the first band 103B1 is sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 (see FIG. 15E). In addition, the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203 (see FIG. 15E).

[0129] As described above, also in the case where a watch has the case 102 and the first band 103B1 and second band 103B2 made of leather, the case 102 and the bands 103B1 and 103B2 are sandwiched by using the first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203 and the bridge cushion 205, and thus it is possible to prevent the leather band watch 100B from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0130] With reference to FIGS. 14A to 14E, a method of producing the wristwatch 1000E protecting the metal band watch 100A will now be described.

[0131] In the step shown in FIG. 14A, the inner side of the loop of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A is supported. To be specific, as shown in FIG. 14A, first, the cushion 200B is prepared. Next, both ends of the first cushion 201 in the X direction are curled in the X direction such that the direction of the portion 201a of the end portion which is a connecting portion with the bridge cushion 205 is the center of the curl. Thereafter, the curled first cushion 201 is fitted into the inner side of the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A. Thus, the loop of the metal band 103A is supported on its inner side by the first cushion 201.

[0132] In the step shown in FIG. 14B, the bridge cushion 205 is folded in the Z direction, and the second cushion 202 is folded from the Z direction to the +Y direction so that the bridge cushion 205 and the second cushion 202 are placed on the back side of the first cushion 201, that is, in the Z direction relative to the first cushion 201. Thus, the outer side of the metal band 103A is protected by the second cushion 202 (see FIG. 14C).

[0133] In the step shown in FIG. 14D, the third cushion 203 is folded toward the metal band watch 100A. Thus, the case 102 is sandwiched and protected by the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203.

[0134] As shown in FIG. 14E, it is preferable that the distal end of the third cushion 203 is folded toward the second cushion 202 such that the third cushion 203 surrounds the metal band 103A. Thus, the wristwatch 1000E having a three dimensional structure in which the entire metal band watch 100A is protected by the folded cushion 200B is completed.

[0135] Since the wristwatch 1000E is produced by using the cushion 200B as described above, the metal band watch 100A having the metal band 103A in a loop shape can be protected.

[0136] A method of producing the wristwatch 1000F protecting the leather band watch 100B will now be described with reference to FIGS. 15A to 15F.

[0137] In the step shown in FIG. 15A, the first cushion 201 is sandwiched between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 of the leather band watch 100B and the second band 103B2.

[0138] In the step shown in FIG. 15B, the bridge cushion 205 is folded in the Z direction, and the second cushion 202 is folded from the Z direction to the +Y direction so that the bridge cushion 205 and the second cushion 202 are placed on the back side of the first cushion 201, that is, in the Z direction relative to the first cushion 201. Thus, the first band 103B1 is protected by the second cushion 202.

[0139] In the step shown in FIG. 15C, part of the first cushion 201 on the X direction side is folded toward the case 102 and the second band 103B2. Thus, the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched and protected by the first cushion 201.

[0140] In the step shown in FIG. 15D, the third cushion 203 is folded toward the leather band watch 100B. Thus, the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched and protected by the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203.

[0141] As described above, by disposing the bridge cushion 205 between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202, it is possible to provide a space between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202, and when the cushion 200B is folded, the wristwatch 1000F can be seen clearly (see FIG. 15E and FIG. 15F).

[0142] Thus, the wristwatch 1000F having a three dimensional structure in which the entire leather band watch 100B is protected by the folded cushion 200B is completed. Since the wristwatch 1000F is produced by using the cushion 200B as described above, it is possible to protect the leather band watch 100B having the flat first band 103B1 and second band 103B2.

[0143] As described above, the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment includes the case 102, the annular metal band 103A connected to the case 102, and the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 that protect at least the metal band 103A, the first cushion 201 is longer in the first direction than in the second direction, is connected to the second cushion 202 at the portion 201a of its end portion in the second direction, and supports the inner side of the annular metal band 103A, and the second cushion 202 supports the outer side of the annular metal band 103A. According to this configuration, since the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 are used to support both the inner side and the outer side of the annular metal band 103A, it is possible to suppress damage to or deterioration in the wristwatch 1000 having the annular metal band 103A. In addition, since the inner side and the outer side of the metal band 103A can be supported without being affected by the size of the metal band 103A, the protection and packaging are possible without preparing multiple types of cushions 200 to be used.

[0144] In the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, the band is preferably the metal band 103A. Since this configuration enables the inner side and the outer side of the metal band 103A to be supported, even when an external impact is applied to the heavy wristwatch 1000, the wristwatch 1000 can be prevented from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0145] Further, in the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, the band may be of a plate spring type. According to this configuration, since the band of a plate spring type is supported on the inner side and the outer side, even when an external impact is applied to the wristwatch of a plate spring type, it is possible to prevent the wristwatch from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0146] It is preferable that the wristwatch 1000 according to the present embodiment includes the third cushion 203 and fourth cushions 204 connected to the second cushion 202, that the first cushion 201 is positioned in the frame portion of the second cushion 202 and is placed on the inner side of the metal band 103A, that the case 102 is placed between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204, and that the metal band 103A is placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203. According to this configuration, since the case 102 and the metal band 103A are sandwiched and supported by using the first cushion 201 to the fourth cushions 204, it is possible to suppress damage to and deterioration in the wristwatch 1000 having the annular metal band 103A.

[0147] In addition, in the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, the first cushion 201, the second cushion 202, the third cushion 203, and the fourth cushions 204 may be separate parts, but are preferably composed of a single-piece nonwoven fabric. When a single-piece nonwoven fabric is used, the entire watch 100A can be covered, and the watch 100A can be prevented from being detached from the cushion 200. In addition, by using nonwoven fabric, when it comes into contact with the glass surface of the watch 100A or the metal band 103A, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of scratches.

[0148] Further, the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment includes the case 102, the first band 103B1 connected to one end of the case 102, the second band 103B2 connected to the other end of the case 102, and the first cushion 201, the second cushion 202, and the third cushion 203 that protect at least the first band 103B1 and the second band 103B2, the first cushion 201 is longer in the first direction than in the second direction, is connected to the second cushion 202 at the portion 201a of its end portion in the second direction, and is placed between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 and the second band 103B2, the third cushion 203 is connected to the second cushion 202, the portion connecting the case 102 and the first band 103B1 passes between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202, and the first band 103B1 is sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203. According to this configuration, since the case 102 and the bands 103B1 and 103B2 are sandwiched by using the first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203, it is possible to prevent the wristwatch 1000 from being damaged or deteriorating. Further, the first band 103B1 and the second band 103B2, which are made of leather, can be stored without being permanently bent.

[0149] In addition, in the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, it is preferable that the first band 103B1 and the second band 103B2 are bands made of leather. According to this configuration, also in the case of a configuration including the first band 103B1 and the second band 103B2 which are made of leather and are separate parts on both sides of the case 102, the case 102 and the bands 103B1 and 103B2 are sandwiched by using the first cushion 201 to the third cushion 203, and thus it is possible to prevent the wristwatch 1000 from being damaged or deteriorating. In the wristwatch 1000 according to the present embodiment, it is preferable that the wristwatch 1000 includes the fourth cushions 204 connected to the third cushion 203, that the first cushion 201 is positioned in the frame shape of the second cushion 202, that the portion connecting the case 102 and the first band 103B1 passes through the frame shape so as to extend around the first cushion 201, that the first cushion 201 is placed between the case 102 and the first band 103B1, that the first band 103B1 is sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203, and that the case 102 and the second band 103B2 are sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204. According to this configuration, since the case 102 and the bands 103B1 and 103B2 are sandwiched by using the first cushion 201 to the fourth cushions 204, it is possible to prevent the wristwatch 1000 from being damaged or deteriorating.

[0150] In addition, in the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, the first cushion 201, the second cushion 202, the third cushion 203, and the fourth cushions 204 may be separate parts, but are preferably composed of a single-piece nonwoven fabric. When a single-piece nonwoven fabric is used, the entire watch 100B can be covered, and the watch 100B can be prevented from being detached from the cushion 200. In addition, by using nonwoven fabric, when it comes into contact with the glass surface of the watch 100B or the bands 103B1 and 103B2, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of scratches.

[0151] In addition, in the wristwatch 1000 according to the embodiment, it is preferable that the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 are connected to each other with the bridge cushion 205 in between, that the first cushion 201 has the protruding portion on the side opposite to the bridge cushion 205, and that the second cushion 202 is longer in the first direction than in the second direction. According to this configuration, since the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 are connected to each other with the bridge cushion 205 in between, a space can be provided between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 when they are folded, which enables the bands 103A, 103B1, and 103B2 to be held. In addition, it is possible to improve the aesthetic quality of the external appearance after folding.

[0152] Further, since the metal band watch 100A and the leather band watch 100B can be protected and packaged by the common cushion 200, 200A, or 200B, it can be easily handled, and the cost can be suppressed.

[0153] Further, the method of producing the cushion 200 of the present embodiment includes a defibration step of defibrating masses of fibers into a fiber material, a deposition step of depositing the fiber material to form a deposited material, and a production step of forming the deposited material into the cushion 200 having the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202. The production step includes a cutting step of performing cutting such that the first cushion 201 is longer in the first direction than in the second direction and is connected to the second cushion 202 at the portion 201a of its end portion in the second direction. According to this method, since the cushion 200 having the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 is produced, it is possible to provide the cushion 200 adapted to and capable of protecting both the watch 100A having a band in a loop shape and the watch 100B having bands not in a loop shape.

[0154] In addition, in the method of producing the cushion 200 of the present embodiment, it is preferable that the production step includes a sewing step of sewing the front and back sides of the portions that will become the edge of the cushion 200, and that the cutting step is performed after the sewing step. According to this method, since the edge of the cushion 200 is sewn, when the cushion 200 is cut along the edge thereof, it is possible to prevent the fibers from fraying at the edge of the cushion 200, and the shape of the cushion 200 can be maintained.

[0155] In addition, in the method of producing the cushion 200 of the present embodiment, it is preferable that the fiber material containing a fiber resin is deposited in the deposition step, and that the deposited material produced by depositing the fiber material is laser-cut in the cutting step. According to this method, since the deposited material containing a fiber resin is laser-cut, the cushioning property can be maintained, and the aesthetic quality of the cut portion can be enhanced.

[0156] In addition, in a method of producing the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, the wristwatch 1000 includes the case 102 and the annular metal band 103A connected to the case 102, the cushion 200 is produced by using the method of producing the cushion 200 described above, the first cushion 201 is inserted into the loop of the metal band 103A such that the first cushion 201 supports the inner side of the loop, and the second cushion 202 surrounds the outer side of the loop. According to this method, since the wristwatch 1000 is produced by using the cushion 200 mentioned above, it is possible to provide the wristwatch 1000 capable of protecting the metal band watch 100A having the metal band 103A.

[0157] In addition, in a method of producing the wristwatch 1000 of the present embodiment, the wristwatch 1000 includes the case 102, the first band 103B1 connected to one end of the case 102, and the second band 103B2 connected to the other end of the case 102, the cushion 200 is produced by using the method of producing the cushion 200 described above, the first cushion 201 is sandwiched between the first band 103B1 and the combination of the case 102 and the second band 103B2, and the first band 103B1 is sandwiched between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202. According to this method, since the wristwatch 1000 is produced by using the cushion 200 mentioned above, it is possible to provide the wristwatch 1000 capable of protecting the leather band watch 100B having the bands 103B1 and 103B2.

[0158] Hereinafter, modifications of the above-described embodiments will be described.

[0159] The shape of the cushion and the way of folding the cushion are not limited to those described in the implementation examples and the accompanying drawings. Changes may be made without departing from the essential characteristics of the present disclosure. Therefore, the implementation examples disclosed in the present disclosure and the accompanying drawings are not intended to limit the technical spirit of the present disclosure, but to explain the technical spirit of the present disclosure. Hence, the scope of the technical spirit of the present disclosure is not limited by the implementation examples described above and the accompanying drawings.

[0160] For example, the wristwatches 1000E and 1000F are not limited to ones including the bridge cushion 205 as described above, and may have configurations without the bridge cushion 205 in a case where a space is not necessary between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 when the cushion 200B is assembled.

[0161] In addition, the frame shape is not limited to ones in which the second cushion 202 surrounding the first cushion 201 is continuous over 360 in plan view. For example, it can be said that the second cushion 202 has a frame shape even if a part thereof is discontinuous, such as a C-shape.

[0162] As described above, the case 102 of the wristwatch 1000A is not limited to being placed between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204, and may be placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203 by reversing the bending direction of the third cushion 203 with respect to the second cushion 202. In this case, the cushion 203 may be referred to as a fourth cushion, and the cushion 204 may be referred to as a third cushion.

[0163] In addition, it is naturally included in the scope of the technical idea of the present disclosure to produce a wristwatch 1000 by combining a watch and the above-mentioned cushion rotated by 180.

[0164] As described above, in the method of producing the wristwatch 1000, the method of folding the cushion 200 in order has been described, but the order is not limited thereto, and the cushion may be folded in a different order as long as the protection and packaging can be achieved as the wristwatch 1000.

[0165] As shown in FIG. 7C, the configuration is not limited to ones in which the case 102 is placed between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204, and in which the metal band 103A is placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203. A configuration in which the case 102 is placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203, and in which the metal band 103A is placed between the first cushion 201 and the fourth cushions 204 is also possible by reversing the bending direction at the portion between the second cushion 202 and the third cushion 203. Also in this case, the cushion 203 may be referred to as a fourth cushion, and the cushion 204 may be referred to as a third cushion.

[0166] The portions described for a metal band watch are also applicable to watches with bands made of other materials as long as a watch is desired to be stored in a state in which the case and the band form a loop. For example, these portions are applicable to ceramic bands.

[0167] The portions described for a leather band watch are also applicable to watches with bands made of other materials as long as a watch is desired to be stored with its bands kept flat. For example, these portions are applicable to silicon bands or metal bands.

[0168] Further, as shown in FIG. 16A, FIG. 16B, and FIG. 16C, a buckle 103B11 of the leather band watch 100B may be inserted between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202. The second band 103B2 of the leather band watch 100B is placed between the first cushion 201 and the third cushion 203. The buckle 103B11 is placed between the second cushion 202 and the third cushion 203. Depending on the size of the first band 103B1, a configuration in which the buckle 103B1 is not inserted between the first cushion 201 and the second cushion 202 is also possible.

[0169] Further, as shown in FIGS. 17A and 17B, accessories such as a replacement band 301, an adjustment link, and an instruction manual may be placed between the second cushion 202 and the third cushion 203. In this case, it is preferable that these accessories are arranged so as not to overlap the metal band 103A of the metal band watch 100A. In this case, the wristwatch 1000 can be interpreted as a name of an article including the accessories.
