HEADWEAR SUPPORT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD

Abstract

A headwear support assembly that not only supports one's favorite headwear, but also has the appearance of a character wearing the headwear, bringing the headwear to life, includes one or more bases, which may be in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, one or more legs supported by the one or more bases, and a dome supported by the one or more legs. The dome receives one's headwear to support and store the headwear.

Claims

1. A headwear support assembly, comprising: one or more bases; one or more legs supported by the one or more bases; a headwear support supported by the one or more legs and configured to support headwear thereon at an incline relative to horizontal.

2. The headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more bases include a pair of bases in the configuration of feet and/or shoes.

3. The headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the headware support includes a flat lower surface.

4. The headwear support assembly of claim 3, wherein the headware support, including the flat lower surface, is inclined upwardly relative to horizontal.

5. The headwear support assembly of claim 4, wherein the headware support, including the flat lower surface, is at a minimum angle of 10 degrees relative to horizontal.

6. The headwear support assembly of claim 5, wherein the headware support, including the flat lower surface, is at a maximum angle of 20 degrees relative to horizontal.

7. The headwear support assembly of claim 5, wherein the headware support, including the flat lower surface, is at a maximum angle of 15 degrees relative to horizontal.

8. The headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the headware support includes a crown with a magnet configured to attract metal in headwear to keep the headwear centered on the crown, at the incline relative to horizontal.

9. The headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more bases include a pair of bases in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, and the one or more bases, the one or more legs supported by the one or more bases, and the headware support have a configuration of a baseball player.

10. The headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more bases include a pair of bases in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, and the one or more bases, the one or more legs supported by the one or more bases, and the headware support have a configuration of one of a football player, a hockey player, a basketball player, and a soccer player.

11. The headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more bases include a pair of bases in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, and the one or more bases, the one or more legs supported by the one or more bases, and the headware support have a configuration of one of an animated character and a musical performer.

12. A method of using the headwear support assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more bases include a pair of bases in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, the one or more legs include a pair of legs, the method comprising receiving the headwear on the headware support so that the pair of bases in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, the pair of legs, and the headwear on the headware support give the appearance of a character wearing the headwear.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the headware support is angled at a minimum angle of 10 degrees relative to horizontal.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the headware support is angled at a maximum angle of 20 degrees relative to horizontal.

15. The method of claim 13, wherein the headware support is angled at a maximum angle of 15 degrees relative to horizontal.

16. The method of claim 13, wherein the headware support includes a crown with a magnet configured to attract metal in headwear to keep the headwear centered on the crown, and the method further comprising attracting metal in the headwear with the magnet in the headware support to keep the headwear centered on the crown.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the headware support is angled relative to horizontal.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0019] With reference to FIGS. 1-9, an embodiment of a headwear support assembly 100 that not only supports one's favorite headwear, but also has the appearance of a character wearing the headwear, bringing the headwear to life, will be described. The headwear support assembly 100 includes one or more bases 110, which may be in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, one or more legs 120 supported by the one or more bases 110, and a dome 130 with a substantially flat lower surface 140 supported by the one or more legs 120. The dome 130 receives one's headwear 150 to support and store the headwear 150. The dome 130 and the flat lower surface 140 of the dome 130 are angled at an angle A relative to horizontal H at a minimum of 10 degrees. In an embodiment of the headwear support assembly 100, the dome 130 is angled at an angle A relative to horizontal H at a maximum of 20 degrees. In a more preferred embodiment of the headwear support assembly 100, the dome 130 is angled at an angle A relative to horizontal H at a maximum of 15 degrees. A crown 160 of the dome 130 may include a magnet 170 that magnetically attracts the metal in a baseball cap or other headwear to keep the baseball cap (or other headwear) properly oriented and positioned on the crown 160. FIG. 8 illustrates a first example of possible headwear 150 supported by the headwear support assembly 100 and FIG. 9 illustrates a second example of possible headwear 150 supported by the headwear support assembly 150.

[0020] In one or more embodiments, the headwear support assembly 150 may come in one or more colors and/or one or more color combinations, the headwear support assembly 150 may come in one or more configurations (e.g., a Mickey Mouse configuration, a baseball player configuration, a football player configuration, a hockey player configuration, a basketball player configuration, a soccer player configuration, a musical performer configuration, etc.), and/or may come in one or more licensed versions (e.g., MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, MLS, NCAA, Disney, etc.).

The pair of bases 110 in the configuration of feet and/or shoes, the legs 120, and the headwear 150 oriented on the dome 130 at the angle A gives the appearance of a character wearing the headwear 150, bringing the headwear 150 to life.
