It should be noted that the articles a, an, and the, as used in this specification, include plural referents unless the content clearly dictates otherwise.
[0022] Referring now to
[0023] Thermoforming makes for a durable and low-cost base. This method of construction is a versatile plastics manufacturing process that is ideal for creating components for an outdoor entertainment game. Thermoforming allows for complex part geometries, including tight radii, and textured surfaces that would be needed in this design. Materials like ABS, acrylic, polycarbonate, and PETG strike a balance of strength, impact resistance, and weatherability. These lightweight components are suitable for portable exposure to sunlight, rain, and temperature fluctuations. Thermoformed parts should be UV-resistant and weatherproof. This type of construction also allows for variations in color with a simple material change. Body 103 may further include a surface treatment along a surface to facilitate writing, such as a dry erase board. An example location may be on lower portion 107 on surface 109.
[0024] Referring now also to
[0025] Tool 115 is configured to draw upon surface 109 for purposes of gameplay. Players may track score or any other details related to game play. It is understood that tool 115 may be a dry erase marker such that it may be easily removed from surface 109. Assembly 101 may include any number of washers 117 for use in playing the game. An example would be the inclusion of 32 washers 117. It is understood that washers are merely an exemplary embodiment of a tossable item that may be used with assembly 101 in playing the game. Other examples may be bean bags or other objects that do not bounce very much upon contact with the ground and that are sized to all fit within body 103. Washers 117, also termed a playing piece or tossable item, are segregated into 4 distinct groups typically denoted by a physical feature, such as color difference for example. This is useful to assist in assembly 101 being used with individual participants or teams of participants.
[0026] Markers 119 are configured to locate a prescribed distance from body 103. Markers 119 are also configured to set the distance each player will stand away from base 103. The size and or form and function of markers 119 may be varied in accordance with design constraints. It is understood that markers 119 are preferably flexible, lightweight, and easy to manipulate and handle. An example may be durable heavy waterproof fabric that allows markers 119 to be rolled up and placed within base 103 when stored.
[0027] It is reiterated that all materials within assembly 101 may be stored within body 103 to allow for compact storage and ease of transportation. Rules of the game may be varied by participants but typically may include the tossing of an item like washer 117 into one of aperture 111.
[0028] The particular embodiments disclosed above are illustrative only, as the application may be modified and practiced in different but equivalent manners apparent to those skilled in the art having the benefit of the teachings herein. It is therefore evident that the particular embodiments disclosed above may be altered or modified, and all such variations are considered within the scope and spirit of the application. Accordingly, the protection sought herein is as set forth in the description. It is apparent that an application with significant advantages has been described and illustrated. Although the present application is shown in a limited number of forms, it is not limited to just these forms, but is amenable to various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit thereof.
