DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0011] Various example embodiments (a.k.a., exemplary embodiments) will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings in which some example embodiments are illustrated. In the figures, the thicknesses of lines, layers and/or regions may be exaggerated for clarity.
[0012] Accordingly, while example embodiments are capable of various modifications and alternative forms, embodiments thereof are shown by way of example in the figures and will herein be described in detail. It should be understood, however, that there is no intent to limit example embodiments to the particular forms disclosed, but on the contrary, example embodiments are to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the scope of the disclosure. Like numbers refer to like/similar elements throughout the detailed description.
[0013] It is understood that when an element is referred to as being connected or coupled to another element, it can be directly connected or coupled to the other element or intervening elements may be present. In contrast, when an element is referred to as being directly connected or directly coupled to another element, there are no intervening elements present. Other words used to describe the relationship between elements should be interpreted in a like fashion (e.g., between versus directly between, adjacent versus directly adjacent, etc.).
[0014] The terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of example embodiments. As used herein, the singular forms a, an and the are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. It will be further understood that the terms comprises, comprising, includes and/or including, when used herein, specify the presence of stated features, integers, steps, operations, elements and/or components, but do not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, operations, elements, components and/or groups thereof.
[0015] Unless otherwise defined, all terms (including technical and scientific terms) used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which example embodiments belong. It will be further understood that terms, e.g., those defined in commonly used dictionaries, should be interpreted as having a meaning that is consistent with their meaning in the context of the relevant art. However, should the present disclosure give a specific meaning to a term deviating from a meaning commonly understood by one of ordinary skill, this meaning is to be taken into account in the specific context this definition is given herein.

[0034] Referring to
[0035] The mouth contacting surface 110 may have a circular shape to correspond to the glass rim 11, and may include an outer wall 111, an inner wall 112, a top surface 113, and an aperture 114, but is not limited thereto.
[0036] The outer wall 111 may be connected to the inner wall 112 via the top surface 113, such that the aperture 114 is formed to allow a user to drink from the glass 10 when the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 is attached to the glass rim 11. In other words, the aperture 114 allows the user to access a liquid disposed within the glass 10 when the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 is attached to the glass rim 11.
[0037] The inner groove 120 is a space inside the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 that is formed between the outer wall 111 and the inner wall 112, which allows the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 to be snugly attached to the glass rim 11.
[0038] Thus, when the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 is attached to the glass rim 11 of the glass 10 via the inner groove 120, the user can contact the mouth contacting surface 110 with a mouth of the user, thus preventing the user's mouth from directly contacting the glass rim 11 while drinking from the glass 10.

[0042] The mouth contacting surface 210 may have a circular shape to correspond to the mug rim 21, and may include an outer wall 211, an inner wall 212, a top surface 213, and an aperture 214, but is not limited thereto.
[0043] The outer wall 211 may be connected to the inner wall 212 via the top surface 213, such that the aperture 214 is formed to allow a user to drink from the mug 20 when the disposable sanitary glassware rim 200 is attached to the mug rim 21. In other words, the aperture 214 allows the user to access a liquid disposed within the mug 20 when the disposable sanitary glassware rim 200 is attached to the mug rim 21.
[0044] The inner groove 220 is a space inside the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 that is formed between the outer wall 211 and the inner wall 212, which allows the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 to be snugly attached to the glass rim 21.
[0045] Thus, when the disposable sanitary glassware rim 200 is attached to the mug rim 11 of the mug 20 via the inner groove 220, the user can contact the mouth contacting surface 210 with a mouth of the user, thus preventing the user's mouth from directly contacting the mug rim 21 while drinking from the mug 20.
[0046] The present general inventive concept may include a disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 to attach to a top of a rim 11 of a glass 10, the disposable sanitary glassware rim 100 including a mouth contacting surface 110 having a shape to correspond to a shape of the rim 11 of the glass 10 to allow a user to sip from the glass 10 without touching the rim 11 of the glass 10, the mouth contacting surface 110 including an outer wall 111 having a circular shape, an inner wall 112 having a circular shape smaller than the outer wall 111, a top surface 113 to connect a top edge of the outer wall 111 to a top edge of the inner wall 112, and an aperture 114 created by the circular shape of the inner wall 112, and an inner groove 120 formed between the outer wall 111 and the inner wall 112 to receive the rim 11 of the glass 10 therein
[0047] A main purpose of the present general inventive concept is to provide users with an eco-friendly protective top cover for cups to help decrease exposure to possible contaminants on drinking vessels. Ingenious and practical, the present general inventive concept offers a modern accessory that provides a protective barrier between a cup's rim and the consumer's mouth, reducing the risk of direct contact with any germs as the person drinks from the vessel. Expanding on the initial design of any cup, the present general inventive concept introduces a novel plastic disposable sanitized rim that can be easily attached to the groove of any cup, glass, or mug. The clip stays in place during utilization providing users with comfort, protection, and confidence with every sip. By providing a one-time use barrier between consumers and potentially contaminated drinking surfaces, the present general inventive concept serves to promote cleanliness for all users whether they're at home, out at a restaurant, a hotel, or any other public environment; thus, it may prove to be essential in the household/novelty industry.
[0048] The present general inventive concept is the only product of its kind that works to prevent exposing a person's mouth to the rim of cups, glasses, and/or mugs used, in private or public settings, as a means to reduce germ exposure. This unprecedented product is uniquely designed to fit cups of various sizes and materials, and offers versatility and convenience for users who may be enjoying a beverage at a restaurant or using a personal cup, while on the go.
[0049] Although a few embodiments of the present general inventive concept have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the general inventive concept, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
