Abstract
A splash guard, comprising a plurality of walls, on a lid, that retrofits atop an existing container, allowing the receipt of items to be deposited into the existing container below, from either the top or sides of the guard, and prevents the escape of water, or waterlike substances, from the container below, while allowing the receipt of deposited items, into the container below.

1. A splash guard, comprising:

6. The splash guard according to claim 1, whereby the plurality of walls slope up from the base of the lid, then down, allowing the receipt of the items into the existing container below.
7. The splash guard according to claim 1, whereby the plurality of walls slope up from the base of the lid, allowing the receipt of the items into the existing container below.
8. The splash guard according to claim 1, whereby the plurality of walls slope down from the base of the lid, allowing the receipt of the items into the existing container below.
