[0021] Where a list of alternative component terms is used, e.g., a structure such as a, b, c, d or the like, or a or b, such lists and alternative terms provide meaning and context for the sake of illustration, unless indicated otherwise. Also, relative terms such as first, second, third, front, and rear are intended to identify or distinguish one component or feature from another similar component or feature, unless indicated otherwise herein.

[0022] Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, throughout the description and the claims, the words comprise, comprising, and the like are to be construed in an inclusive sense as opposed to an exclusive or exhaustive sense; in the sense of including, but not limited to.The various embodiments of the disclosure and/or equivalents falling within the scope of present disclosure overcome or ameliorate at least one of the disadvantages of the prior art or provide a useful alternative.

[0023] Detailed reference will now be made to the drawings in which examples embodying the present subject matter are shown. The detailed description uses numerical and letter designations to refer to features of the drawings. The drawings and detailed description provide a full and written description of the present subject matter, and of the manner and process of making and using various exemplary embodiments, so as to enable one skilled in the pertinent art to make and use them, as well as the best mode of carrying out the exemplary embodiments. The drawings are not necessarily to scale, and some features may be exaggerated to show details of particular components. Thus, the examples set forth in the drawings and detailed descriptions are provided by way of explanation only and are not meant as limitations of the disclosure. The present subject matter thus includes any modifications and variations of the following examples as come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.

[0024] Turning now to FIG. 1, a system for providing an adhesive to artificial eyelashes is broadly designated by element number 10 and includes malleable, double-sided adhesive strips or tabs 12 that may be arranged in rows and columns on a carrying sheet 14 as shown, or the strips 12 may be provided in a W arrangement, a diagonal arrangement, or otherwise to accommodate ease of application, packaging requirements, and the like. Here, the adhesive strips 12 are provided by the applicant Fallum LLC under the trade name Linx). As shown, the strips 12 are covered and protected by a non-stick sheet 16 that may be partly transparent to show the underlying strips 12. Further, the sheet 14 with the strips 12 and cover sheet 16 may be carried in a box, sleeve, or package 18 that may have a transparent window 20 to show the strips 12.

[0025] The double-sided adhesive strips 12 shown in FIG. 1 may be black or other dark color as shown that may include petroleum resins, paraffin waxes, hydrocarbon waxes, styrene-isoprene copolymer, pentaerythritol tetrakis, carbon black (Black No. 2). Alternatively, the adhesive strips 12 may be clear and made of petroleum resins, paraffin and hydrocarbon waxes, styrene-isoprene copolymer, and pentaerythritol tetrakis.

[0026] With reference to FIG. 2, the double-sided adhesive strips 12 may be utilized in a series of steps 100 that may include an initial step of removing a non-stick carrying sheet 14 with its strips 12 from the sleeve 18 (see FIG. 1) followed by a step 101 of peeling or folding a non-stick sheet 16 away from a desired row of strips 12. By peeling only a portion of the sheet 16 to expose, e.g., one column of strips 12, other strips 12 remain protected between the carrying sheet 14 and the non-stick sheet 16.

[0027] Once the desired column of strips 12 is exposed with a portion of the paper 16 folded back in step 103, a false eyelash cluster 1 can be attached to an eyelash tool or applicator 3 as shown in step 105 of FIG. 2. Next, the eyelash applicator 3 is placed near an exposed strip 12 with the eyelash cluster 1 facing downwards where it is aligned with the malleable strip 12 and pressed gently together (as shown in inset and further discussed with respect to FIG. 3 below). Finally, in step 107 a user places the applicator 3 near a natural eyelash underside 5 and applies the combined eyelash cluster 1 and strip 12.

[0028] FIG. 3 is an enlarged, partial, perspective view of rows and columns of the adhesive strips 12 positioned on the carrying sheet 14 as introduced above. Here, a substantially flat, rectangular shape of each strip 12 is readily observed. Although the strips 12 may have other shapes and forms to accommodate different user needs or varieties of artificial eyelashes, the flat rectangular shape is effective for the majority of lashes, such as the cluster 1 shown in inset. This is because, as the lash inset depicts, most lash clusters 1 have a relatively flat, rectangular receiving base or surface 7 where individual lashes 9 are attached, bound, or connected together. The strip 12 is sufficiently malleable to match a surface contour of the base 7, and due to its resins, waxes, and the like introduced above, the strip 12 is sufficiently tacky or sticky to adhere to the base 7. Thus, the relatively flat, double-sided adhesive strip 12 easily attaches to the complementary flat base 7 of the lash cluster 1 using the applicator 3, which is then used to lift the strip 12 from the nonstick sheet 14 as described in FIG. 2 above.

[0029] While the present subject matter has been described in detail with respect to specific embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated that those skilled in the art, upon attaining an understanding of the foregoing may readily produce alterations to, variations of, and equivalents to such embodiments. Accordingly, the scope of the present disclosure is by way of example rather than by way of limitation, and the subject disclosure does not preclude inclusion of such modifications, variations and/or additions to the present subject matter as would be readily apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art.
