The paper tray storage system of the present invention allows for papers of various sizes to be stored properly, while allowing for expandability of storage and for removability of the file inserts (file compartments).

[0028] The present invention provides a paper storage system, comprising: a stand, wherein the stand comprises a series of vertical walls disposed on a base panel, wherein the series of vertical walls are each parallel to each other and are substantially at right angles to the base panel, wherein the series of vertical walls are different lengths such that the distal ends of the vertical walls form a substantially V shape; and at least one file insert, wherein each of the at least one file insert has two or more side panels attached to a second panel and a first panel to create one or more file compartments, and wherein each of the at least one file insert is removably disposed on the V shape created by the distal ends of the vertical walls of the stand.

[0029] The present invention further provides a paper storage system, wherein the side panels of each of the at least one file insert are curved; wherein one or both of the two vertical walls at both ends of the series of vertical walls contain a mechanism to removably attach to the at least one file insert; wherein the series of vertical walls disposed on the base panel of the stand form compartments; wherein the compartments are closed on the distal ends from the base panel; wherein the distal ends of the vertical walls each contain a mechanism to removably attach to each of the at least one file insert; wherein the at least one file insert is removably attachable to each other; wherein the second panel and the first panel of each of the at least one file insert are substantially the same length; and wherein each of the at least one file insert is attachably disposed on the V shape created by the distal ends of the vertical walls of the stand.

[0030] The present invention provides a paper storage system, comprising: a stand, wherein the stand comprises a series of vertical walls disposed on a base panel and the distal ends of the vertical walls form a substantially V shape; and at least one file insert, wherein the at least one file insert is removably disposed on the V shape created by the distal ends of the vertical walls of the stand.

[0031] The present invention further provides a paper storage system, wherein the series of vertical walls are each parallel to each other and are substantially at right angles to the base panel; wherein the at least one file insert comprises one or more file compartments; wherein each of the at least one file insert has two or more side panels attached to a second panel and a first panel to create one or more file compartments; wherein the at least one file insert is removably attachable to each other; wherein the side panels of the at least one file insert are curved; and wherein the at least one file insert is attachably disposed on the V shape created by the distal ends of the vertical walls of the stand.

[0032] FIG. 1 shows an isometric view of file insert 101. File insert 101 is connectably removably attachable to one or more other file insert(s) 101.

[0033] File insert 101 comprises side panels 106 and 107, first panel 102, and second panel 103, to form a file compartment. Side panels 106 and 107 are both attached to second panel 103 and first panel 102 to form file insert 101.

[0034] First panel 102 and second panel 103 are connected to each other at their distal ends at a substantially 90 degree angle. Side panels 106 and 107 each have two edges that are substantially straight and meet to create a 90 degree corner. The two edges of side panel 106 that meet to create the 90 degree corner are attached to the left side of the edges of the sides of first panel 102 and second panel 103, and the two edges of side panel 107 that meet to create the 90 degree corner are attached to the right side of the edges of the sides of first panel 102 and second panel 103. This creates file insert 101 which allows for paper and other items to be placed in file insert 101. The terms left side and right side mean the edges of first panel 102 and second panel 103 as shown in the orientation in FIG. 1, with side panel 106 being on the left side of FIG. 1.

[0035] As shown in FIG. 1, in the preferred embodiment, side panels 106 and 107 have curved edges opposite the 90 degree corner.

[0036] The dimensions of any of the pieces of file insert 101 can be varied according to the desired usage. First panel 102, second panel 103, and side panels 106 and 107 form the file insert 101 such that there is a 90 degree corner in the interior of file insert 101. More than two side panels may be present in file insert 101 to form multiple file compartments. Additional side panels are attached to first panel 102 and second panel 103 in the same manner as side panels 106 and 107.

[0037] The curved edges allow for paper and other materials to be more easily grabbed by a user when the paper and other materials are in file insert 101.

[0038] First panel 102 and second panel 103 may be substituted the same length, or they may be different (as in a standard piece of paper). The lengths of the sides of side panels 106 and 107 correspond to the lengths of first panel 102 and second panel 103, accordingly.

[0039] FIG. 2 shows an isometric view of stand 201. Stand 201 comprises vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207, which are disposed on stand base panel 208 at approximately 90 degree angles extending outward. The distal ends of vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207 vary such that they form a V shape. Vertical walls 202 and 207 are substantially the same length, vertical walls 203 and 206 are substantially the same length, and vertical walls 204 and 205 are substantially the same length. Vertical walls 202 and 207 are longer than vertical walls 203 and 206, and vertical walls 203 and 206 are longer than vertical walls 204 and 205.

[0040] The term V shape as it is used herein refers to a shape that has a substantially 90 degree corner and is in the position of a V, meaning the corner of the shape is at the bottom. As such, file inert 101 is substantially a V shape.

[0041] Although only six vertical walls, being three sets of vertical walls that have corresponding lengths, are shown, any number of vertical walls may be present.

[0042] The space in between of vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207 creates compartments.

[0043] A V shaped piece, or otherwise, may be disposed in the V shape in order to enclose the compartments at the top, or the compartments may be open at the top, as shown in FIG. 2.

[0044] FIG. 3 shows file insert 101 disposed on stand 201 to form paper tray storage system 301. File insert 101 may sit in the V shape of stand 201 that is formed by the distal ends of vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207, or be connectably, attachably, and/or removably attached via any suitable means, such as hooks, clasps, buttons, etc.

[0045] The lengths of vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207 correspond to the shape of file insert 101 such that file insert 101 is in contact with the distal ends of each of vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207.

[0046] Paper tray storage system 301 comprising file insert 101 disposed on stand 201 allows for papers of various sizes to be stored properly, while allowing for expandability of storage. Multiple file inserts 101 may be utilized depending on the size of storage desired by the user. File insert 101 is easily removed from stand 201 and is portable.

[0047] The compartments created between the vertical walls 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, and 207 creates storage for smaller pieces of paper such as envelopes, business cards, letters, etc., along with non-paper items such as pens, pencils, etc.

[0048] File insert 101 is ideally sized such that it contains standard sized paper, with the paper jutting out past the curved edges of side panels 106 and 107. This allows for easy access to the papers. Additionally, file insert 101 can easily be removed from stand 201 and taken on the go.
