DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
[0025] For purposes of description herein, the terms “upper,” “lower,” “right,” “left,” “rear,” “front,” “vertical,” “horizontal,” and derivatives thereof shall relate to the invention as oriented in
[0026] The terms “including,” “comprises,” “comprising,” or any other variation thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process, method, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of elements does not include only those elements but may include other elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus. An element proceeded by “comprises a . . . ” does not, without more constraints, preclude the existence of additional identical elements in the process, method, article, or apparatus that comprises the element.
[0027] With reference to
[0028] Inner walls W of the compartment C present two molded parts 14 and 17, each of which may define a lowered seat. The two molded parts 14 and 17 may be obtained by thermoforming a plastic inner liner, or by using components (such as foam) obtained by injection molding, and insert the components into an aperture defined by the liner in a tight manner. The term “molded parts” includes the above solutions, and any alternative solution as well.
[0029] A front molded part 14 includes a blind hole 14a for receiving a pin 16a of an elastic portion 16 of the plastic element 10, which protrudes laterally and in a front portion thereof. The elastic portion 16 extends downwardly from the shelf G. The detail of the mounted configuration is shown in
[0030] The front portion of the plastic element 10 includes a cross part 10a, which avoids any sliding of the glass shelf G toward the outside, while any backward movement of the shelf G is prevented by a similar cross part 10b present in a rear portion of the plastic element 10 (
[0031] With reference again to
[0032] Each plastic element 10 is also provided with a second elastic portion in the form of a side elastic tongue 28, which keeps the glass shelf G in the center of the compartment.
[0033] From the above description it is clear how the mounting of the glass shelf G in the inner compartment C is simple and safe, since one plastic element 10 is coupled with each of two opposite sides of a glass plate, and then the glass shelf G (including the glass plate and the plastic element 10) is inserted elastically in the molded parts 14, 17. If a user wants to install a sliding drawer 22 in the space defined by two glass shelves G, the user simply inserts the drawer 22 on the glass shelf G, and in this coupling movement, the user is helped by the shaped guide protrusion 26.
[0034] For avoiding the tilting movement when the drawer 22 reaches a fully opened configuration, the drawer 22 includes a lateral protrusion 30 configured to cooperate with a corresponding protrusion (not shown) of the inner liner.
[0035] The series of protrusions 18, 20, wherein the drawer 22 slides may be of a plastic co-molded material different from the material of the plastic element 10 and having a lower friction coefficient may reduce the overall cost of the plastic elements 10.
