Abstract
A stapling head assembly of a suturing and cutting apparatus for endoscopic surgery includes a cartridge, a cartridge support detachably connected to the cartridge, an actuating block including an unlocking component set movably in the cartridge, a cutter, and a lockout mechanism. The cutter is adapted to move longitudinally along the cartridge, between a first position and a second position. The mechanism includes a lockout block set in said cartridge support and transversely movable with respect to the support between third and fourth positions, and a flexible component set between the support and the lockout block and actuating the lockout block to move from the third to the fourth positions. When the flexible component is under compression, the cutter can move from the first to the second positions. After the actuating block is actuated, the lockout block moves to the fourth position under action of the flexible component.

16. A stapling head assembly comprising: a cartridge; a cartridge support detachably connected to the cartridge; an actuating block including an unlocking component set movably in said cartridge; a cutter arranged to move at least between a first position and a second position along a longitudinal direction of said cartridge support, said actuating block is pushed to move by said cutter; and a lockout mechanism including; a lockout block, set in said cartridge support, and movable between a third position and a fourth position along a transversal direction relative to said cartridge support, a flexible component set between said cartridge support and said lockout block, and actuating said lockout block to move from said third position to said fourth position, wherein before said actuating block is actuated to be moved by said cutter, said unlocking component squeezes said lockout block transversally to be at said third position, and when said flexible component is under compression status, said cutter can move from said first position to said second position, and after the actuating block is actuated, said lockout block moves to said fourth position under action of said flexible component, and said cutter is prevented from moving from said first position to said second position by said lockout block.
17. The stapling head assembly according to claim 16, wherein, said cartridge support includes a first limiting groove extending in the longitudinal direction, and said cutter and said actuating block are movable along said first limiting groove.

The stapling head assembly according to claim 17, wherein, said cartridge support includes a second limiting groove extending in the transversal direction, said second limiting groove communicates with said first limiting groove, said lockout mechanism is set in said second limiting groove, said lockout block moves in said second limiting groove, and said third position is farther away from said first limiting groove than said fourth position.

The stapling head assembly according to claim 18, wherein, after said actuating block is actuated to move by said cutter, said lockout block extends into said first limiting groove under action of said flexible component, and then reaches said fourth position, between the first position and the second position of said cutter, and said cutter is located at a distal end of said lockout block, and after said cutter is pulled back to a proximal end of said cartridge, said lockout block is kept at said fourth position under action of said flexible component, said cutter is located at a side of a proximal end of said lockout block.

The stapling head assembly according to claim 17, wherein, said flexible component is a flexible block, said flexible block is farther away from said first limiting groove than said lockout block, and a first end of said flexible block connects to an inner wall of said cartridge support, and a second end of said flexible block connects to said lockout block.
21. The stapling head assembly according to claim 16, wherein, said unlocking component is a bump set protruded at a bottom of a proximal end of said actuating block.

The stapling head assembly according to claim 18, wherein, there is one said second limiting groove on each of two sides of said first limiting groove, said stapling head assembly includes two lockout mechanisms set separately in each said second limiting groove, when said lockout blocks are both set at the fourth position, a space between said lockout blocks is smaller than a transversal thickness of said cutter.
23. The stapling head assembly according to claim 17, wherein, said lockout block further includes a first guiding portion, when said cutter moves from said second position to said first position, the lockout block is guided to move from said fourth position towards the third position.
24. The stapling head assembly according to claim 23, wherein, said first guiding portion is a first slope, said first slope is set at the distal end of said lockout block, and inclines protruded from the distal end of said lockout block towards the direction of said first limiting groove.
25. The stapling head assembly according to claim 17, wherein, said lockout block comprises a third guiding portion, when said cartridge is mounted, said lockout block is guided to move from said fourth position towards the third position.
26. The stapling head assembly according to claim 25, wherein, said third guiding portion is a third slope, said third slope is set on a top surface of said lockout block, and inclines protruded from the top surface towards the first limiting groove.
27. The stapling head assembly according to claim 16, wherein, said lockout mechanism further comprises a fixing cover, and said lockout block and said flexible component are covered between said fixing cover and said cartridge support.
28. The stapling head assembly according to claim 27, wherein, said fixing cover includes a concave portion, said lockout block is further equipped with a protruded portion, said protruded portion is set on the top surface, and extends accordingly into said concave portion.
29. A suturing and cutting apparatus for endoscopic surgery, comprising: a cartridge; a cartridge support detachably connected to the cartridge; an actuating block including an unlocking component set movably in said cartridge; a cutter arranged to move at least between a first position and a second position along a longitudinal direction of said cartridge support, wherein said actuating block is pushed to move by said cutter; and a lockout mechanism including a lockout block set in said cartridge support and movable between a third position and a fourth position along a transversal direction relative to said cartridge support, and a flexible component set between said cartridge support and said lockout block and actuating said lockout block to move from said third position to said fourth position, wherein before said actuating block is actuated to be moved by said cutter, said unlocking component squeezes said lockout block transversally to be at said third position, and when said flexible component is under compression status said cutter can move from said first position to said second position, and wherein after the actuating block is actuated, said lockout block moves to said fourth position under action of said flexible component, and said cutter is prevented from moving from said first position to said second position by said lockout block.
30. The suturing and cutting apparatus according to claim 29, wherein, said cartridge support includes a first limiting groove extending longitudinally with respect to said cartridge support, and said cutter and said actuating block are movable along said first limiting groove.

The suturing and cutting apparatus according to claim 30, wherein, said cartridge support includes a second limiting groove extending transversely with respect to said cartridge support, said second limiting groove communicates with said first limiting groove, said lockout mechanism is set in said second limiting groove, said lockout block moves in said second limiting groove, and said third position is farther away from said first limiting groove than said fourth position.

The suturing and cutting apparatus according to claim 31, wherein, after said actuating block is actuated to move by said cutter, said lockout block extends into said first limiting groove under the action of said flexible component, and then reaches said fourth position, between the first position and the second position of said cutter, and said cutter is located at the distal end of said lockout block, and wherein after said cutter is pulled back to a proximal end of said cartridge, said lockout block is kept at said fourth position under the action of said flexible component, and said cutter is located at a side of a proximal end of said lockout block.

The suturing and cutting apparatus according to claim 31, further comprising: two lockout mechanisms set separately in each said second limiting groove, when said lockout blocks are both set at the fourth position, a space between said lockout blocks is smaller than a transversal thickness of said cutter, and wherein there is one said second limiting groove on each of two sides of said first limiting groove.
34. The suturing and cutting apparatus according to claim 29, wherein, said lockout mechanism includes a fixing cover, and said lockout block and said flexible component are covered between said fixing cover and said cartridge support.
35. The suturing and cutting apparatus according to claim 34, wherein, said fixing cover includes a concave portion, and said lockout block includes a protruded portion set on a top surface of said lockout block, and extends into said concave portion.
