Abstract
A pillow for inserting between breasts is provided which includes at least one rounded top portion, at least one concave middle portion, and a rounded bottom portion. The rounded top portion and said rounded bottom portion of the pillow are each wider than the concave middle portion. Additionally, the rounded top portion, rounded bottom portion and concave middle portion are made of an outer fabric material stuffed with one or more stuffing material to provide a firm but not rigid pillow. The inventive pillow provides for a washable, supportive, anatomically correct, shape contouring, aesthetically pleasing, anti-wrinkle bra sleeping pillow which provides adequate comfort and support for the user. The unique shape and as well as breathable fabric is intended to fit snugly in between and support the breasts while laying on side.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0014] The following detailed description is merely exemplary in nature and is in no way intended to limit the scope of the invention, its application, or uses, which may vary. The invention is described with relation to the non-limiting definitions and terminology included herein. These definitions and terminology are not designed to function as a limitation on the scope or practice of the invention, but are presented for illustrative and descriptive purposes only.
[0015] It is to be understood that in instances where a range of values are provided that the range is intended to encompass not only the end point values of the range but also intermediate values of the range as explicitly being included within the range and varying by the last significant figure of the range. By way of example, a recited range of from 1 to 4 is intended to include 1-2, 1-3, 2-4, 3-4, and 1-4.
Generally
[0016] The present invention contains the features of an inventive breast support device that is machine washable, supports the breasts, prevent wrinkles from forming in the chest cleavage area, is soft enough to prevent pressure on the sternum yet sturdy enough to provide support, is aesthetically pleasing, has no rough shaped corners that can result in bruising, only rounded corners, and can be worn without straps, bras, or any clothing at all. The inventive breast support pillow includes a rounded upper portion, a concave like inner portion, and a rounded lower portion. Alternatively the inventive breast pillow includes a first end of one width, a second end having a second width, and an intermediate extent therebetween having a width less than the first end width and the second end width.
[0017] While it is intended that the inventive breast support device be light weight in order to avoid unnecessary discomfort or weight pulling on the skin, yet sturdy enough to support the breasts, the inventive breast support device can be made of many materials. Without limiting the invention to any particular material, it is appreciated that many materials are known in the art which may be lightweight or rigid in order to accomplish the purpose of the intention. In at least one embodiment the inventive breast support device is made of microsuede, plastic, rubber, foam, nylon, cotton, or combinations thereof.
Rounded Top/Rounded Bottom
[0018] The rounded top and bottom serve the function of supporting the breasts by being contoured to the breasts shape. An additional benefit is that the shape prevents tugging or binding of the ski, providing a comfort and support of the breasts, especially for side-sleepers, while additionally lessening the chance of wrinkles in the cleavage area.
[0019] The rounded top is also a first end of the inventive pillow having a first width, while the rounded bottom is also a second of the inventive pillow having a second width. It is appreciated that the inventive pillow has a radial width which may be radially circular or radially oval in shape. The widths of the rounded portions may differ on each plane. By way of example, and not being intended to limit the invention, the width on the x-plane (front view) of the inventive pillow may be less than, equal to, or greater than the width on the y-plane (side view). These differing widths may be for each rounded top portion (the first end), the rounded bottom portion (the second end), or the concave middle portion (intermediate extent therebetween).
[0020] It is appreciated that the rounded top, or first end, is bulbous in shape. Without being bound to any particular theory the bulbous shape assists in both keeping the inventive pillow in place by contouring with a breast shape thus increasing the surface area of the pillow in contact with the breast to assist in holding the pillow in place without the use of straps or other devices. In at least one embodiment, the rounded top has at least a 6 inch width in the x-plane (front view). In at least one embodiment, the rounded bottom has at least a 7.5 inch in width along the x-plane (front view). It is appreciated that the rounded top and rounded bottom prevents wrinkling and may sit flat against the sternum.
Concave Middle Portion
[0021] The concave middle portion provides a curved area to conform with the natural female body configuration. The breast can lay comfortably against the concave middle portion. The concave middle portion is shaped to fit snuggly against the body in between the breasts to provide support, and to minimize stretching and sagging. The concave portion also assists in accommodating many cup sizes. The 200 concave middle portion is illustrated in
Pillow Materials
[0022] Many suitable pillow materials are known in the art, and nothing herein shall limit the types of materials used. While it is intended for the inventive pillow to be moderately firm, it is understood that this may be achieved with most known materials in the art where firmness may be adjusted by adding or removing stuffing materials without changing the size of the rounded top portion, rounded bottom portion or the concave middle portion. Without limiting the stuffing materials to be used, suitable stuffing materials may be polyfil, pellets, microbeads, beanbag filler, foam, kapok, feathers, down, polyester, latex, acrylic, wool, cotton, horsehair, natural shredded rubber, buckwheat, millet, flax seed, lavender, water, or combinations thereof.
