    Abstract

    A protective, decorative head wrap, constructed of a smooth, gentle material, for preserving a hairstyle, disguising the protective head wrap with a decorative wrap, and permitting hair drying white still wearing the head wrap. The style preservation head wrap includes protective element composed of a rounded midsection with dual arms, each arm with a connective element, such as snag-free Valero. The rounded midsection is placed at the rear of the head while the arms are crossed over the forehead with the connective elements lined up and connected to secure the protective element around the head and hair. The decorative element, permanently attached to the top edge of the protective element, in order to create a fashionable look upon the user's head. The head wrap also includes an opening for the tip of a blow dryer to facilitate the drying of damp hair and further preservation of a hairstyle.

    Claims

    1. A Head Wrap comprising: a flexible material protective portion, said protective portion having a top edge, a bottom edge, a first arm and a second arm, a flexible material decorative portion, said decorative portion having a top edge, a bottom edge, a first tail and a second tail, wherein said decorative portion is of a greater length than said protection portion.

The Head Wrap of claim 1, wherein said protective portion is further comprised of a rounded midsection, said first arm on a side of said rounded midsection of said protective portion, said second arm on an opposite side of said rounded midsection of said protective portion; wherein said first arm contains a first connective element; wherein said second arm contains a second connective element.

    3. The Head Wrap of claim 2, wherein said decorative portion is further comprised of a flat midsection, said first tail on a side of said flat midsection of said decorative portion, said second tail on an opposite side of said flat midsection of said decorative portion.

    4. The Head Wrap of claim 3, wherein an attachment means secures said bottom edge of said decorative portion to said top edge of said protective portion

    5. The Head Wrap of claim 4, wherein said attachment means is selected from the group consisting of: stitches and adhesive.

The Head Wrap of claim 4, wherein a dryer opening is created upon the connection of said first connective element of said first arm and said second connective element of said second at a point around a user's head; the placement of said bottom edge of said decorative element at a first point on a user's head; and the tying of said first tail and said second tail at a second point on said user's head.

    7. The Head Wrap of claim 6, wherein said connective element is selected from the group consisting of: hook and loop fastener, button, and snap.

    8. A method for decoratively protecting styled hair, comprising: Combing hair around the crown of a user's head; Placing a midsection of a protective element of a head wrap around said user's head at a first location; Placing a first arm of said protective element of said head wrap at a second location around said user's head Attaching a connective element of a second arm of said protective element of said head wrap to said connective element of said first arm of said protective element of said head wrap at said second locution; Securing a decorative element of said head wrap around the perimeter of said user's head; Arranging a decorative element of said head wrap in a manner to complement the user's appearance.

A method for decoratively protecting styled hair, comprising; Combing hair around the crown of a user's head; Placing a midsection of a protective element of a head wrap around said user's heed at a first location; Placing a first arm of said protective element of said head wrap at a second location around said user's head Attaching a connective element of a second arm of said protective element of said head wrap to said connective element of said first arm of said protective element of said head wrap at said second location; Securing a decorative element of said head wrap around the perimeter of said user's head; Arranging a decorative element of said head wrap in a manner to complement the user's appearance. Further securing user's hair by rotating said head wrap around said user's head;

A method for decoratively protecting styled hair, comprising: Combing hair around the crown of a user's head; Placing a midsection of a protective element of a head wrap around said user's head at a first location; Placing a first arm of said protective element of said head wrap at a second location around said user's head Attaching a connective element of a second arm of said protective element of said head wrap to said connective element of said first arm of said protective element of said head wrap at said second location; Securing a decorative element of said head wrap around the perimeter of said user's head; inserting a drying device into an opening within said head wrap, wherein said opening is created by the folding of said protective element of said head wrap around said user's head.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0023] The present disclosure generally provides a detailed description of a style preservation head scarf, which may be used to protect hairstyles as well as to disguise the hair protection element with a decorative layer. It should be understood that a Head Wrap as shown in the accompanying figures is for illustrative purposes only and that any other system or subsystem could be used in conjunction with or in lieu of a Head Wrap according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

The Head Wrap is composed of a protective element and a decorative element. The protective element is further composed of a top edge, bottom edge, and rounded midsection with a first arm and a second arm. A first connective element is secured to the exterior edge of the first and of the protective element. A second connective element is secured to the interior edge of the second arm of the protective element. When the Head Wrap is placed upon the back crown section of the user's head, the first arm will be placed against the forehead with the first connective element exposed. Then the second connective element on the second arm will be placed atop the first connective element, further encasing the user's head in protective element of the head wrap. Alternatively, the connective elements may be adjoined at the nape of the neck or at any other point around the user's head.
