    Abstract

    A garment for healthcare professionals has been provided comprising one or more articles of clothing, wherein the one or more articles of clothing comprise an internal lining. The one or more articles of clothing are made of a first fabric while the internal lining is made of a second fabric. The first fabric can be any of the fabrics known in the prior art to manufacture medical scrubs, such as cotton. The second fabric of the internal lining has thermal insulation properties, such as fleece. The first fabric and the second fabric might have elastic properties. Further, the second fabric could be less transparent than the first fabric. Additionally, at least one of the first fabric and the second fabric could be partially impermeable to fluids.

    Claims

    1. A garment for healthcare professionals comprising: one or more articles of clothing, wherein the one or more articles of clothing comprise an internal lining.

    2. The garment of claim 1, wherein the one or more articles of clothing are made of a first fabric, and wherein the internal lining is made of a second fabric.

    3. The garment of claim 2, wherein the first fabric can be any of the fabrics known in the prior art to manufacture medical scrubs.

    4. The garment of claim 2, wherein the second fabric of the internal lining has thermal insulation properties.

    5. The garment of claim 2, wherein the first fabric has elastic properties.

    6. The garment of claim 2, wherein the second fabric has elastic properties.

    7. The garment of claim 2, wherein the second fabric is less transparent than the first fabric.

    8. The garment of claim 2, wherein the first fabric is partially impermeable to fluids.

    9. The garment of claim 2, wherein the second fabric is partially impermeable to fluids.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

    [0013] The unique design of medical scrubs and its working as per the present invention has been explained henceforth using exemplary non-limiting embodiments of the present invention with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. For the purpose of explaining, a non-limiting example of medical scrubs, comprising a top section (hereinafter referred to as shirt) and a bottom section (hereinafter referred to as pant), has been used. However, it would be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention is equally applicable to any variations of medical scrubs.

    [0014] As per an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a garment for healthcare professionals comprising one or more articles of clothing has been provided. The garment, as per this embodiment comprises a shirt 100 and a pant 300, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3. The shirt 100 and the pant 300 are made of a first fabric 201 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, wherein the first fabric 201 can be any of the fabrics known in the prior art to manufacture medical scrubs and other such garments for healthcare professionals, such as, but not limited to, using various combinations of polyester, cotton, spandex and rayon in different ratios.

    [0015] The shirt 100 and the pant 300 comprise an internal lining of a second fabric 202, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. The second fabric 202 has thermal insulation properties. Non-limiting examples of the second fabric 202 may include flannel, fleece, wool, butter suede, cotton velour and stretch terry. The thermal insulation properties of the second fabric 202 of the internal lining would ensure that a healthcare professional wearing the garment is protected from the usually low temperature, temperature-controlled working environment, i.e. the healthcare professional feels warm enough to be comfortable and perform at his or her optimum efficiency without hindrance from the requirement of an additional warm garment, such as a woolen jacket. Further, the second fabric 202 should be less transparent than the first fabric 201 so that no one can see through the garment and the healthcare professional wearing the garment can feel comfortable.

    [0016] As per another embodiment of the present invention, the first fabric 201 and the second fabric 202 may have compositions which would provide elastic properties and hence, the garment will retain shape despite prolonged use by healthcare professional. Further, the elastic properties of the first fabric 201 and the second fabric 202 may allow more comfort while wearing the garment as the two fabrics will spread together while being worn by a healthcare professional.

    [0017] As per yet another embodiment of the present invention, the first fabric 201 and the second fabric 202 may have compositions which would be partially impermeable to fluids. Due to this, the healthcare professional wearing the garment would be partially protected from any spills which are quite common in their working environment.

    [0018] Various modifications to the above described invention will be readily apparent to those ordinarily skilled in the art and the general principles defined herein may be applied to other embodiments and applications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Thus, the present invention is not intended to be limited to the embodiments described, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and features disclosed herein. Therefore, the scope of the invention is to be determined by the terminology of the above description and the legal equivalents thereof.
