An electronic module for an inhaler includes a printed circuit board and electronic components configured to detect at least a status and/or at least a working parameter of the inhaler when the electronic module is attached to the inhaler. A battery is permanently joined to the printed circuit board. A first terminal and a second terminal are electrically connectable one to the other through a main switch to close a circuit between the battery and the electronic components. In a rest configuration, the first and second terminals are electrically separated by the main switch. In a work configuration, the first terminal and the second terminal are electrically connected one to the other through the main switch.
REUSABLE RESPIRATORY DEVICE MONITORING SYSTEM
A respiratory system and method comprise a tracker module adaptable to be secured to a variety of inhalers, the tracker module sensing activation of the medication canister of the inhaler for delivery of medication to a user. The tracker module also senses the rate of inhalation air flow of the user when inhaling medication for determination of proper inhaler use. Upstream and downstream sensors provide flow information to determine quality of the inhalation. Other sensors are provided that monitor user presence at the inhaler, user technique in using the inhaler, and the attitude of the inhaler when it was used. Low power devices are used to conserve battery power.
USE OF CANNABINOIDS IN THERAPY AND WELL-BEING APPARATUSES
The present invention relates to a device for applying energy to a human body. The device comprises a contact surface which defines an application region in which a human body can be placed in the effective range of the energy. The device further comprises at least one means for outputting the energy directed substantially onto the application region, and at least one means for generating a vapour mixture comprising at least one cannabinoid. The device according to the invention also comprises at least one means for guiding the vapour mixture, which has an effective dose of at least one cannabinoid, into the surroundings of the breathing orifices of a human body. The present invention further relates to a method for operating such a device, and to the use of vapour mixtures comprising at least one cannabinoid in designated devices.
Calibrated dose control
Methods and vaporizer apparatuses that estimate, measure and/or predict the amount of vapor and/or material (including active ingredients) released by the vaporizer apparatus. In particular, described herein are electronic vaporizers and methods of using them that determine a dose/amount of vapor and/or a material in the vapor based primarily or exclusively on the electrical and thermal properties, e.g., power or energy applied to the vaporizing element (e.g., heating coil) and the temperature of the material immediately before and as it is vaporized. Dose information may be used to control operation of the device and/or reported to the user.
Ultrasonic atomization control system and electronic cigarette
Disclosed are an ultrasonic atomization control system and an electronic cigarette. The system includes: a current feedback circuit and/or a voltage feedback circuit, a microcontroller unit, a push-pull circuit, and an oscillator driving circuit; wherein the push-pull circuit is coupled between the microcontroller unit and the oscillator driving circuit, the current feedback circuit and/or the voltage feedback circuit are/is coupled between the oscillator driving circuit and the microcontroller unit; and the oscillator driving circuit is configured to be connected with a load; wherein the microcontroller unit is configured to output a pulse width modulation signal with a predetermined frequency and voltage to the push-pull circuit, judge a current and/or a voltage fluctuation fed back by the current feedback circuit and/or the voltage feedback circuit are/is greater than a threshold, and stop operation of the load if the fluctuation is greater than the threshold.
Inhalers and Related Methods
A nasal inhaler for the inhalation of inhalable substances comprise: a canister having an interior reservoir containing pressurised inhalable substances including fluid; a metering valve including a metering chamber and a valve stem defining a communication path between the metering chamber and the interior reservoir, the communication path including an opening configured to permit flow between a transfer space inside the valve stem and the interior reservoir, the interior reservoir being arranged for orientation above the metering chamber whereby gas located within the metering chamber is replaced with liquid from the interior reservoir.
ELONGATE FORM MEDICAMENT CARRIER AND MEDICAMENT DISPENSER
Disclosed is an elongate form medicament carrier and a medicament dispenser. The medicament carrier has a first end, a second end, and a central portion, and carrying multiple distinct medicament dose portions, the medicament dose portions consisting of a first set and a second set of medicament dose portions, the first set of medicament dose portions distributed in a first portion of the elongate form medicament carrier between the first end and the central portion of the elongate form medicament carrier and containing a medicament active, or a mixture of medicament actives, and the second set of medicament dose portions distributed in a second portion of the elongate form medicament carrier between the second end and the central portion of the elongate form medicament carrier and containing a medicament active, or a mixture of medicament actives, wherein the dose portions in the second set of medicament dose portions are different from the dose portions in the first set of medicament dose portions.
NASAL DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a nasal delivery device with a device body that includes a trigger end and an outlet end. The nasal delivery device also includes a trigger assembly coupled to the trigger end of the device body, a drug container supported by the device body, and a spring-loaded activator assembly supported by the device body and disposed between the trigger assembly and the drug container.
Inhaler flow control mechanism
An inhaler (60) has a breath actuated trigger mechanism (100) reactive to an inhalation flow to trigger the release of a substance to be inhaled. The inhaler (60) has an inspiration flow which is subject to a higher degree of flow governing post-triggering than pre-triggering. This allows the triggering flow rate to be closer to, or even higher than, the governing flow rate of the inhaler.
Detection and monitoring of dosage delivery for vaporized waxes, solids or viscous oils, and cannabinoids
A sensing module for monitoring dosage delivery of a vaporized material, and a portable vaporization unit including the sensing module, include a light sensor that detects disruptions in a light path across a vapor channel, the disruptions caused by the vaporized material flowing through the vapor channel. The light sensor includes a UV light source, which may emit 370 nm wavelength light, and a UV light detector that converts intensity of incident light in the light path into a signal. A microprocessor of the sensing module compares the signal to a baseline measurement to determine the concentration of a medicament in the vapor; then, using the flow rate and activation time of the device, the microprocessor determines the dosage and can perform monitoring and reporting actions based on the dosage. A measuring circuit measures fluctuations in resistance/impedance of a vaporization element to further determine flow rate and/or dosage.
