Needle-equipped outer cylinder and method for manufacturing the same
A needle-equipped outer cylinder includes: a needle tube; a joining member comprising: a needle tube accommodation hole that accommodates a proximal end side portion of the needle tube and penetrates the joining member from a distal end of the joining member to a proximal end of the joining member, and a joining outer peripheral portion provided on an outer peripheral portion of the needle tube accommodation hole; and an outer cylinder member comprising: a distal end joint that comprises an inner cavity that receives the joining outer peripheral portion of the joining member from a distal end side, and a projection located at a proximal end portion of the inner cavity and projecting into the inner cavity. The joining member comprises, at a proximal end portion of the joining member, an abutment portion that abuts the projection of the outer cylinder member.
Headgear tubing for a patient interface
A patient interface for treating sleep disorder breathing includes a textile tube that also provides support for the seal forming structure. The textile tube includes an inner and outer layer that are joined along seams to form an air chamber or passageway. The textile tube can be pre-shaped so that the textile tube resiliently returns to a pre-determined shape prior to the introduction of pressurized air.
Smart relaxation masks with wired earpieces
A relaxation mask includes: a main body that defines a pair of eye cavities; wiring; an earpiece that is coupled to the main body via the wiring; and a spring configured to bias the earpiece towards the main body.
Curved connection unit for connecting a patient to a medical device
A connection unit establishes a fluid connection between a patient and a ventilator. The connection unit includes a patient-side connection piece, a device-side connection piece, a port piece and a central piece, which provides a tube with a curved tube segment and is connected with a fluid-tight connection to the two connection pieces. The port piece includes a straight tube segment and a bent surface with a bent surface and with a passage opening. The port piece is inserted into a receiving opening of the central piece. The bent surface of the port piece forms a part of a wall of the curved tube segment. The straight tube segment of the port piece and the central piece provide a straight tube, which is interrupted by the passage opening. An additional device is insertable through the straight tube segment and through the passage opening into the provided tube.
Devices, systems and methods for medicament delivery
A method includes moving an actuation lock of a medical injector from a first position to a second position. The actuation lock has an extended portion disposed between a shoulder of a housing and the base when the actuation lock is in the first position. The extended portion is spaced apart from the base when the actuation lock is in the second position. A distal end portion of a base, which is movably coupled to an end portion of the housing, is placed into contact with a body. The base is actuated after the placing to release an energy from an energy storage member within the housing to produce a force to move a needle from a first needle position to a second needle position. At least a portion of the needle extends through the base when the needle is in the second needle position.
Hollow-Fibre Membrane With Improved Biocompatibility And Reduced Elution Of Hydrophilic Polymers
The invention relates to the providing of hydrophobic and hydrophilic polymer-based hollow fiber membranes containing a water-insoluble antioxidant; in particular, the invention relates to the providing of hollow fiber membranes for the extracorporeal treatment of blood, wherein the hollow fiber membranes have improved biocompatibility relative to treatment blood, in particular improved complement activation and lower platelet loss vis-à-vis treatment blood. At the same time, the elution of hydrophilic polymers from the lumen of the hollow fiber membrane is reduced.
HEAT- NOT- BURN ARTICLES AND RELATED METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Heat-not-burn articles are provided. In some embodiments, the heat-not-burn article may comprise: an inner core comprising at least one compressed rod of cannabis-based material; and an outer sheath comprising a sheet of plant-based material, the outer sheath receiving the inner core therein. The heat-not-burn articles may be heated without combustion to generate an inhalable aerosol and/or vapor, thereby reducing or eliminating undesirable byproducts typically associated with smoke. Also provided are related methods and systems for making a heat-not-burn article.
Injection Device for Delivering a Liquid Drug and a Method of Assembly
The invention relates to a pre-filled injection device with a non-removable cartridge wherein the drive mechanics comprises a threaded piston rod which is moved helically in a nut secured to a housing structure. During assembly of the injection device it is possible to rotate the nut member to thereby advance the piston rod into a position eliminating any air-gap otherwise occurring between the piston rod and the plunger inside the cartridge
INFUSION SET WITH ROTATABLE HUB AND PROCESS
A hub member for an infusion set device includes a body and pads configured to receive a squeezing force directed radially inward relative to an axis of the body. The body compresses radially inward relative to the axis in response to the squeezing force. A plurality of connection features on the body are moveable from a first position radially inward toward a second position when the hub member is compressed radially inward. The connection features engage one or more further connection features on a housing to attach the hub member to the housing when the connection features are in the first position, and disengage the further connection features to release the hub member when the connection features are moved toward the second position.
LINGUAL POSITIONING DEVICE FOR SLEEP, BREATHING, JAW AND AIRWAY DISORDERS
Oral appliances that may include a supporting shell member having concave geometry for receiving at least a portion of a dental arch of a wearer into the concave geometry; and, a tongue guide member extending from said supporting shell member and into contact with an underside of a tongue of said wearer when the portion of the dental arch is received into the concave geometry. This oral appliance may be utilized in methods for treating various sleep and breathing disorders (“SBD”), for treating sleep apnea, treating airway obstruction, for upper and/or lower jaw reshaping, for airway reshaping, for mandibular advancement, for tongue-retaining, and for providing myofunctional therapy to encourage and help train the tongue to have the proper tongue posture for nasal breathing and discourage mouth breathing.
