UNIVERSAL SENSOR ALLOWING CONFIGURATION OF INPUTS FOR GATHERING PATIENT FEEDBACK
A configurable universal sensor directed toward collection of user input health related data is disclosed. The sensor includes a user operated configurable input such as a button. The sensor includes a transceiver operable to communicate with an external device. The sensor includes a controller coupled to the configurable input and the transceiver. The controller collects data from the configurable input and classifies the data according to a configured data type.
Intubation drape
A medical drape which is positioned over the head and upper torso of a patient is disclosed which includes a head flap, a head portion, a torso portion, and two oppositely disposed arm portions. The head flap is of a sufficient length to extend about the backside of the patient=s head. The head portion includes oppositely disposed side wings which aid in covering the head of a patient. Each arm portion includes an access slot extending through the arm portion.
Device and method for drug delivery
A therapeutic treatment device, system and method for improving administration of a temperature sensitive drug into a tissue on the body of a patient at a drug injection site are disclosed. The device includes a treatment element with a controllable heating element in temperature communicative contact with the tissue adjacent to the drug injection site. The controllable heating element is configured to heat the tissue adjacent to the drug injection site to a controllable temperature but does not heat the injected drug above a predetermined limiting temperature, above which degradation of the injected drug may occur.
USABILITY FEATURES FOR RESPIRATORY HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM
A humidification system for delivering humidified gases to a user can include a heater base, humidification chamber having an inlet, outlet, and associated fluid conduit, and breathing circuit including a supply conduit, inspiratory conduit, and optional expiratory conduit. The humidification system can include various features to help make set-up less difficult and time-consuming. For example, the supply conduit, inspiratory conduit, and optional expiratory conduit can be coupled into a one-piece circuit to aid set-up. Various components can be color-coded and can have corresponding structures to indicate which components should be connected to one another during set-up. Such features can also help make the set-up process more intuitive for an operator, which can reduce the need for specialized training and reduce the number of potential errors.
INHALER JACKET WITH CAP ATTACHMENT
The invention discloses an accessory for an inhalation device having a canister and a housing including a mouthpiece from which the medicament is dispensed. The accessory includes a jacket, which attaches to the housing; a cap for the mouthpiece and a plurality of elastomeric straps which secure the jacket to the cap. An inhalation device is also provided with the accessory attached.
Feature assigned inhalation aid
The present invention relates to a feedback for inhalation. In order to further improve feedback and instructions to further support the correct use of an inhaler, a feedback apparatus (10) for inhalation is provided that comprises an inhaler interface (11), a processor (14), a feedback device (16), and a feature assigner (13). The inhaler interface is configured to temporarily attach the feedback apparatus to an inhalation apparatus. The feedback device is configured to provide a feedback to the user to aid in inhalation with the inhalation apparatus. The feature assigner is configured to identify a type of a predetermined feature of the attached inhalation apparatus, and the feedback device is configured to provide the feedback in dependency of the identified type of feature to instruct the user to adjust inhalation maneuver adapted to the attached inhalation apparatus. In an example, the predetermined feature is a device type of the inhalation apparatus, and the feature assigner is configured as an inhalation device type assigner (70) to identify the type of a currently used inhalation device. In another example, the predetermined feature is an accessory type of the inhalation apparatus, and the feature assigner is configured as an accessory type assigner (72) to identify the type of a currently used accessory.
DEVICE FOR HEATING ENDOTRACHEAL TUBES PREPARATORY TO NASAL INTUBATION
A heating device for heating surgical tubes is disclosed herein. The heating device comprises a hollow housing configured to receive the surgical tubes therein. A heating element provided on the hollow housing. A first sensor is assembled on the heating element and configured to sense the temperature of the heating element. A controller is coupled to the heating element and the first sensor, wherein the controller is configured to receive an input associated with a required heating temperature from a user for heating the surgical tubes, and accordingly regulate the operation of the heating element based on the required heating temperature and an actual temperature sensed via the first sensor.
Apparatus with service interface and method for servicing the apparatus
An apparatus comprising a socket insert that is arranged in a receptacle of the apparatus. The socket insert is connected to an operating medium connector. In the receptacle a data interface is covered by the socket insert and inaccessible from outside. To obtain access to the apparatus software or data, the socket insert can be replaced by a service insert that covers the operating medium output but contacts the data plug. The service insert allows communication with the apparatus control to input or output data and/or programs. The arrangement of the service interface covered by socket inserts provides an effective means for access control to the service interface. It impedes or avoids non-authorized access to the interface and damages for persons and material that otherwise could occur due to the missing disruptive discharge proof potential separation between the service interface and particularly the power section of the apparatus control.
INHALER TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The invention relates to a method and system for providing feedback to a patient using an inhaler of a specific type for inhaling a therapeutic aerosol according to instructions for use provided to the patient with the inhaler. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a sequence of digital audio signals and a sequence of digital video signals emitted from the patient while using the inhaler, recognising the type of the inhaler by processing the video signals, recognising whether the patient has deviated from the instructions by processing the audio and video signals, and recognising the type of the deviation; and presenting to the patient one or more feedback messages indicating whether a deviation was recognised, and if so, what type of deviation occurred, and optionally an inhalation manoeuvre without the deviation.
Auto-injection device
The present disclosure relates to an autoinjector device for use in combination with a syringe, said syringe comprising a movable plunger; a needle; and a tubular needle shield. The claimed autoinjector device comprises: an elongated housing having a proximal and a distal end; a drive mechanism; a syringe holder in order to support the fragile syringe and to prevent damage to the syringe. The invention furthermore relates to a method for assembly of the autoinjector device according to the invention.
