PATIENT INTUBATING PARTITION SPHERE
A disposable, isolating intubation device is described, the device comprising a flexible, spherical compartment inflatable from a collapsible state, the flexible, spherical compartment being substantially transparent and having a closed end and an open end distal from the closed end defining an inside volume for receiving a head, shoulders and a portion of a torso of a patient and methods of using.
UNIVERSAL CONNECTION DEVICE FOR PEN INJECTORS
A universal add-on for an injection pen is provided. A static portion (110) has opposing gripping members to grip a body (112) of the injection pen. A moving portion (106) has opposing gripping members to grip an actuator (114) of the injection pen. Displacement measurement devices (102) measure relative linear and rotational movement of the actuator relative to the injection pen body (112). Doses are determined and recorded based on relative movement of the static portion (110) and moving portion (106), and the dose data is transmitted wirelessly to a mobile device. The device is easily installed on injection pens by pressing opposing buttons to relieve gripping pressure imparted by the gripping members.
DRUG SYRINGES WITH A MECHANICAL STOP FOR A SECOND DOSE
Various exemplary drug syringes with a mechanical stop for a second dose, drug products utilizing the same, and methods of using drug syringes with a mechanical stop for a second dose are provided. In general, a nasal drug delivery device is configured to dispense therefrom first and second doses of a drug therefrom into a nose. The drug delivery device includes a mechanical stop configured to provide a pause between the delivery of the first and second doses. During the pause, a user of the drug delivery device can move the drug delivery device from one nostril, into which the first dose was sprayed, to another nostril, into which the second dose can be sprayed. The mechanical stop is configured to hold the drug delivery device in a static delivery state.
Electrical plug for a medical device
A dialysis machine comprising: a power supply for providing power to the dialysis machine, the power supply including a power supply cable that includes a first ground wire electrically connected to a first ground prong; and a hydraulics system for making dialysate, supplying the dialysate to a dialysate circuit, and draining spent dialysate from the dialysate circuit, the hydraulics system including a hydraulics grounding cable that includes a second ground wire electrically connected to a second ground prong.
DOSE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR INJECTABLE-DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF USE
A dose monitoring system for mounting on an injection pen having a body and a dose setting wheel defined at the end of the body. The dose monitoring system includes a magnet configured to be attached to an outer surface of the dose setting wheel, a housing configured to be attached to an outer surface of the body of the injection pen, the housing includes an integrated control unit and at least one magnetometer in electrical connection with the integrated control unit, the integrated control unit, when the housing is mounted on the injection pen, being configured to register at least one magnetic field sensed by the at least one magnetometer when the magnet co-rotates with the dose setting wheel during setting of a dose by a user on the injection pen, the integrated control unit being further configured, when the housing is mounted on the injection pen, to calculate a dose set by the user of the injection pen from the at least one magnetic field registered with the integrated control unit.
