Thermal material nebulizing system with animal mask
A system for thermal regulation of a nebulizer is provided that is structured to deliver a chilled mist to the snout, muzzle, beak, or trunk of an animal. The system includes a container to house a nebulizer and a thermal material together and a mask to deliver the chilled mist to an animal. The thermal material acts to chill a liquid located inside the nebulizer in order to deliver a chilled mist to the animal for therapeutic purposes, such as initiating therapeutic hypothermia, or treating various respiratory illnesses such as croup, laryngobronchitis, and smoke inhalation.
INTRANASAL DELIVERY OF OLANZAPINE BY PRECISION OLFACTORY DEVICE
Methods are provided for acute treatment of agitation, including agitation in patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, comprising administering to a subject with agitation an effective dose of a dry pharmaceutical composition comprising olanzapine, wherein the dose is administered by an intranasal delivery device that provides, following intranasal administration, (a) a mean peak plasma olanzapine concentration (C.sub.max) of at least 30 ng/mL, with (b) a mean time to C.sub.max (T.sub.max) of olanzapine of less than 0.5 hours. Dry pharmaceutical compositions and devices suitable for intranasal delivery of olanzapine are provided.
Needleless pain-free injection device
A needleless pain-free injection device according to the present disclosure includes a valve body, a valve member provided in an internal space of the valve body and airtightly sliding along the valve body, a liquefied gas container communicating with the internal space of the valve body and detachably coupled, at one end thereof, to the valve body, an operating knob provided on the exposed end of the valve member, a cylinder body coupled to one side of the valve body and having an internal space, a piston member provided such that one end thereof slides in the internal space of the cylinder body and having a piston rod, an injection unit provided with an injection piston rod coupled to the piston rod, and a gas passage forming means for selectively establishing and blocking the communication of the valve body and the cylinder body with outside air.
Software and methods for controlling neural responses in deep brain regions
Techniques for non-invasively controlling targeted neural activity of a subject are provided herein. The techniques include applying a stimulus input to the subject, the stimulus input being formed by a deep artificial neural network (ANN) model and being configured to elicit targeted neural activity within a brain of the subject. The stimulus input may be a pattern of luminous power generated by the deep ANN model and applied to retinae of the subject. The stimulus input may be generated by the deep ANN model based on a mapping of the subject's neural responses to neurons of the deep ANN model.
Sensing Complete Injection for Animal Injection Device
A semi-automated veterinary medicine delivery device may sense whether and how much air may have been incorporated into a dose delivered to an animal. The device may also sense an incomplete injection in some cases and may cause a second dose to be administered to make up for the incomplete dose. The device may compare a position sensor on a syringe in combination with a current sensor on a motor attached to the syringe to detect any abnormalities. In the case of an improper dose, the device may alert the user and administer a second dose.
DEVICE FOR VIABLE NEOTISSUE AND STEM CELL TRANSPLANT AND METHODS OF INJECTION
Provided are devices and methods for injecting viable transplant tissues into a subject. The device includes a fluid exchange chamber having a funneled portion connected to a pre-injection tube. The chamber includes fluid transfer holes and is disposed in an outer shell having a central bore connecting a top inlet and a bottom outlet from which the pre-injection tube exits the shell. A plunger having a central channel and a tapered bottom is disposed in the central bore such that the tapered bottom mates the funneled bottom when depressed and a stylet plunger is disposed in the central channel of the plunger.
ANESTHESIA MACHINE, VETERINARY ANESTHESIA MACHINE, AND FAN ASSEMBLY
The invention provides an anesthesia machine comprising a driving gas branched path, a fresh gas branched path, and a breathing circuit. The fresh gas branched path delivers fresh gas having anesthetic into the breathing circuit. The driving gas branched path drives fresh gas from the breathing circuit to a patient. The driving gas branched path comprises a fan assembly, which comprises a housing, a fan, and a heat-dissipating member. The fan is disposed in a first inner chamber, and drives air into the first inner chamber. The heat-dissipating member conducts to the housing the heat generated by the motor.
ANESTHESIA RESPIRATION APPARATUS, ANESTHESIA RESPIRATION GAS PATH SYSTEM AND ANESTHETIC GAS PATH SYSTEM
Provided are an anesthesia respiration apparatus, an anesthesia respiration gas path system, and an anesthetic gas path system, to exhibit a novel anesthesia respiration structure. In this structure, some channels are provided in an anesthesia main machine, and no long external pipeline or only a small number of long pipelines are required to meet demands of gas path connection, thereby reducing various potential safety hazards and inconvenience caused by excessive exposed long pipelines.
System and method of use for halotherapy sessions
A system and method of use for an operational halotherapy device and red light device in an enclosed space. The halotherapy and red light system generally comprise a machine disposed in the enclosed space that disperses salt particles into the air, and includes a red light device that emits red light waves. The combination of both devices produces a refractory phenomenon when the red light waves make contact with the salt particles dispersed in the air to cause a plethora of multi-dimensional dispersions of light waves. Moreover, every time a salt particle makes contact with a red light wave, a portion of the wave light is absorbed by the particle and its temperature increases, lessening the moisture in the particle. The lessening of moisture in the particle dries the particle further, which enhances the therapeutic properties of the inhalable salt particle.
Antimicrobial compositions and uses thereof
In some aspects, provided herein are antimicrobial compositions comprising partially esterified polygalacturonic acid and certain fatty acids (e.g., caprylic acid). In some embodiments, the antimicrobial composition may be administered (e.g., topically or orally) to a subject, such as a human patient to treat an infection (e.g., an infection comprising a biofilm). In some aspects, improved catheters are provided.
